[0:00] Well, God is merciful. God is good. Certainly, I have a smaller group here today, but I just had to think that, well, if God is with us, then it is still a wonderful time, and He is with us. [0:26] He is real. He is alive, like we heard this morning in testimony. He is as alive as He has ever been, and His promises are as true as they have ever been. [0:42] So no need to be discouraged or anything, even if things are difficult from time to time. You know, I thought about, too, that our difficulties here, and James mentioned about a difficult week. [1:01] I had to think of difficulty. What do we mean when we say we have a hard week? You know, we had gotten that text or email from Reggie and what their difficulties are and how difficult it is for them. [1:17] And, you know, they have physical persecution and hard times, difficult. I mean, church houses being burned down and things like that. [1:31] But we, too, sometimes, maybe because of our flesh, have difficulty, right? Like, the enemy tempts us. [1:42] Temptation can become very strong. And it can be a difficult week because we were fighting a spiritual battle. So I think that's what James was sharing with us this morning. [1:53] And I think as a church, we just agree that we forgive him for what he confessed. And can we just lift our hands if we forgive James? [2:05] Amen. And thank you for your honesty in that. And God will bless you for it. Amen. Let's turn our Bibles to 1 Corinthians 3. [2:19] What's been on my heart is kind of two things, and I believe they go together. The right foundation. [2:31] I know that you youth have heard a message or messages, the ones of you that were in Pennsylvania, about the foundation, and I didn't listen to all of that. [2:43] In fact, I don't remember if I listened to any of those messages about the foundation. So I didn't. I probably should have. That way I could have gleaned from that. [2:55] You can teach us, maybe, those of you that were there. But a right foundation, and also the other is a new kingdom. [3:07] And I believe that a new kingdom, the kingdom that Jesus came to establish, is the right foundation. I don't know how you can really separate those two. [3:21] But how important it is today to have a solid foundation, the right foundation. That solid foundation in our life is something that we can come back to over and over again as we go through this life. [3:41] And we can stand firm when the tests of life happen, when we need something solid and firm, something sure. A right foundation will carry us through every time. [3:56] Will our anchor hold? I was wondering if I could pick that song, and then you picked that. So thank you. Will our anchor hold in the storms of life? [4:09] Let's read in 1 Corinthians 3, starting in verse 10. Paul talking here to the Corinthians. According to the grace of God, which is given unto me as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. [4:29] But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereon. Thereupon. Verse 11. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. [4:44] You know, Jesus came to establish a new foundation, if you will. A new kingdom. A new government. How many have tried today in our day to build a spiritual house with another foundation? [5:03] And they say it must be right because it is still standing after generations. But that's a deception. I remember I was told that when we were discussing religion and, you know, where I came from. [5:19] Well, it has stood for 400 years. Well, that doesn't necessarily, that alone doesn't make it right. Age doesn't determine whether it's the right foundation. [5:32] That's deception because Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness, Hinduism, Catholicism, Muslim religions, and many others have stood for centuries. [5:45] And most of those are cults. That doesn't mean they're on the right foundation. Age doesn't make something right or better. But there is no other foundation, Paul said, than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ. [6:08] Are we glad this morning that we have found Him? If we have found Jesus, then we have found the answer, the right foundation. there is no other name, the Bible says, only Jesus, by which we can be saved. [6:27] Let's go to verse 12. Now if any man build upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble, every man's work shall be made manifest, for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire, and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. [6:51] If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire. [7:08] Know ye not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy. [7:20] For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool that he may be wise. [7:37] In verse 13, he's telling us that our foundation, the work that, you know, what we're building with is going to be tested by fire. [7:51] And the fire shall try every man's work what sort it is, and I believe that is happening. That happens to us personally as individuals for sure. [8:05] When we get tested, when we are tempted, when we are tested with the fiery darts of the enemy, whether it's through temptation or whether it's through other people that are mistreating us or whatever it is, it's going to be tested to see what we're building with. [8:29] What is our foundation? What will it stand? Sometimes it blows really hard and it feels like it's going to tip over, but if it's on the right foundation, it will stand. [8:44] And Paul's saying that it's going to be tested. And then it says here that we read in verse 17, If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy. [8:58] For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. That is an amazing statement. That if a Christian, a believer, a temple, if we become such that it's become so defiled, it says God will destroy that temple because he is holy and he will only live in a holy temple. [9:28] We'll leave those thoughts for later for ourselves to meditate on. But then in 18, he says, Let no man deceive himself that if we seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool. [9:47] I think it would be safe to add in there the word a fool to this world. In other words, he's talking about wise in this world. we become a fool to this world that we may be wise. [10:03] What is he talking about? If you think about how Jesus came and through John the Baptist and then Jesus, their teaching was, Behold, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. [10:22] And if you think about how they came, we know John was just the forerunner. He wasn't that kingdom. He wasn't the king. But he came to proclaim the good news. [10:35] And then later, Jesus came with the same words. Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. They came, Jesus came to establish his kingdom. So when we talk about the world, it's talking about the kingdom of this world. [10:52] if we are wise in this world, let him become a fool to this world so that he can be wise in the kingdom of God, is what he's saying. [11:05] Verse 19, For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. [11:17] And again, the Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise that they are vain. The thoughts of the wise are vain. [11:29] And we want to look a little bit about the two kingdoms again, just the kingdom of this world versus the kingdom that Jesus came to establish. And depending on our view of that and where we stand on that will depend on your foundation. [11:49] God is going to test our foundation. And when these fiery difficult times come our way, that is when we will be tested and we will, and if we have been building on the wrong foundation, God will see to it that that house will be destroyed. [12:12] Yes, a new kingdom, the kingdom of heaven. that word repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. I remember for years I would hear that preached in German. [12:25] I'd hear it in English, I'd hear it in German. And I could almost say it in German, but and I would get confused, like, what is he talking about? [12:36] The kingdom of heaven is here. German, it's like it has come very near. It's here. [12:48] The kingdom of heaven. But I believe that today, true believers must come back to that reality. [13:02] That we are part of this kingdom. We need to be reminded that we don't operate under the principles or by the principles of this earthly kingdom. [13:14] And therefore, not everything we do makes sense to those that are earthly minded. That's why Paul said, you become fools to the earthly mind. [13:28] It's different. It's vastly different. And Jesus gave us some very basic principles for us to live by, but many so-called believers reject those teachings because they are earthly minded or they are of the earthly kingdom. [13:48] Just because you proclaim to be a Christian doesn't put you in the heavenly kingdom. We'll look at that a little bit here. [14:00] here. Here's an example. The earthly kingdom, or to the earthly kingdoms, it makes no sense to forgive others and to love your enemies. [14:17] That makes no sense. That's not justice. That's not how the world thinks. But in the heavenly kingdom, we're commanded to do just that. [14:34] These two kingdoms clash with each other the way they think. This truth is foundational. [14:45] And if we're going to live as Christ lived and walk as He walked, then we must understand what this means for us. there must be a transfer. [14:57] When we become born again, we know that there's a transfer of ownership. I think Brother James uses that sometimes. It's a transfer of ownership. [15:08] You are owned by the world or your selfishness and the devil. And when we become born again and baptized, there's a transfer of ownership. [15:20] We are now under a new authority, a new king. A new kingdom. It puts us into His Christ's kingdom. Christ and His kingdom cannot be separated. [15:36] This is a big one. Christ and His kingdom cannot be separated. There are people today that will try very hard to do that. They will say, well, we're just like the world, we think like the world, we live like the world, world, but we want Christ. [15:54] Why? Because they don't want to go to hell. They want to go to heaven when they die. So they try to add Christ into this, into their lifestyle that fits their lifestyle, instead of accepting Christ and His kingdom and His authority, which would be His word. [16:15] adding Christ to an earthly kingdom did not work for the Jews, and it won't work for us today. [16:29] They thought that Jesus was coming to set up an earthly kingdom, their Messiah. We must understand that Christ brought a new kingdom to us, and this brought a whole new way of living, and a new way of thinking. [16:48] What does that have to do with our foundation today? Everything. Jesus says we must go deep and get on the right foundation if we're going to stand. [17:03] Now let's turn to Luke chapter 6. Look at some scriptures there, a passage there. Luke chapter 6 verse 45 through 49. [17:20] And here is where in verse 46 is where I get this thought came to me that what God thinks about the kingdom mindset and calling him Lord. [17:40] Verse 45, the good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. [17:57] then Jesus said, and why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me and heareth my sayings and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like. [18:14] He is like a man which built a house and dig deep and laid the foundation on a rock and when the flood arose the stream beat vehemently upon that house and it could not shake for it was founded upon a rock but he that heareth and doeth not is like a man that without a foundation built and house upon the earth against which the stream did beat vehemently and immediately it fell and the ruin of that house was great. [18:53] Can you hear the heart of Jesus in verse 46 when he says why do you call me Lord Lord why do you say you're a Christian but you refuse to do what I say there must have been like a deep disappointment maybe even frustration in his heart when he said those words you say that I'm your Lord but you don't do what I teach you you don't follow my kingdom the kingdom that I came to establish Jesus said you're not doing those things why do you call me Lord then what he's really saying is don't do that you're either for me or you're not you're either going to follow my commandments or you're not you can't call me your Lord unless I am your Lord does that sound like something he would say today [19:58] I think he would more today than he did 2000 years ago when he was here if we come whoever comes to him and hears his saying and does them that is like somebody that digs deep and he gets on that solid rock for the foundation I want to just share a quick story of something I heard this week from a man a true story if I can find it here so I have a few notes I wrote a few things down but I just want to go there so I don't get it wrong not sure where I put it now but so there was this man and his wife they had a house that they wanted to [21:10] I don't think they wanted to sell it right away but they had this house that was old and they decided to remodel it and and a friend of theirs was the contractor and maybe I didn't write it down I'm not sure but I'll say what I remember so they trusted this contractor and this man and his wife they didn't really have a lot of opinions about design and colors and all that so they told him to just come up with a plan that he thinks would be nice and you know it's quite a trustworthy couple I guess or they trusted him and anyway so they did that and it turned out really really really beautiful it probably cost a lot too I imagine but became really nice and they had so many compliments from their friends and family and anyway two years later they put it on the market for whatever reason they needed to sell it and move on and it was back in the when the markets were really like you know they had bidding wars and they might still have some of that today but not as much but anyway they got an offer almost immediately and it was for quite a number [22:37] I think he said eight thousand more than what they were asking for it and the couple was so excited a young couple they wanted to have this home for their family it was exactly what they were looking for and even much prettier than what they imagined so they were all excited and then of course they made the deal and it was under contract and then that thing they call inspections happened the inspector came out you know they they do that banks make you inspect the house and one of the main things they inspect or one of the first things is the foundation so this inspector crawls down underneath the house in the crawl space and came back up and he had a very puzzled look on his face or a concerned look and he said there's issues with the foundation so anyway when that came back of course everything had to be renegotiated all of a sudden that great offer dropped quite substantially and they still wanted it and I think they went on through with it but yeah everything changed because the foundation needed to be fixed but the man's point was and this was all this was all business related it had nothing to do with [24:01] Christianity but I thought wow that story is kind of incredible for in the spiritual but his point was that out of all the people that complimented them about their beautiful new house remodeled nobody ever asked me how's the foundation what's it build on and I just thought wow isn't that something we can we can make it really nice can't we we can make our religion really great and people do that and and even our closest friends compliment us like wow that's you're awesome you know but how often do we stop and say what are you building on who is your foundation what is it is it on this kingdom of this world or is it actually Jesus [25:03] Christ and his kingdom there's a big difference one's going to sink and fall apart the other one will stand through the storms of life and make it home that one can endure okay why do you call me Lord but you don't do what I tell you to do God is asking that same question to the church today could it be that Jesus is saying to us you call me Lord but you refuse to live by my teachings and if this is true then we're not building on the solid rock that the true Christ you know the solid rock of the true Christ that the apostles preached and sadly our children will not have a solid foundation to base their faith in if we serve a [26:10] Jesus that does not need to be obeyed in every detail then it is the wrong Jesus yes we are in the day of grace and we hear that a lot well we're in the day of grace we can kind of pick and choose right a little wishy-washy with what we obey in the Bible but that day of grace that we live in will give us the strength to do the will of God that's why we have grace not grace so we can please the flesh but grace so that we can actually live the Christian life and please God do the will of the father now let's go to Acts chapter 4 Acts chapter 4 verse 7 see what the apostles taught here in verse 7 it says and when they had set them in the midst they asked by what power or by what name have you done this they had just healed a man then Peter filled with the Holy Ghost said unto them ye rulers of the people and the elders of [27:27] Israel if we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man by what means he is made whole be it known unto all I'm sorry be it known unto you all and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom ye crucified whom God raised from the dead even by him doth this man stand here before you whole this is the stone which was set at naught of you builders which is become the head of the corner the head of the corner neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men they marveled and they took knowledge of them that they have been had been with [28:39] Jesus first of all in verse 11 there is the stone which was set at naught of you builders which is become the head of the corner corner I'm not I'm not a builder I know some about building but I'm not a builder I stay safer when I say that around builders but the stone that held the whole foundation together that's what I believe he's saying that Jesus is the chief cornerstone the most important part of the foundation is Jesus he is the foundation neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved and then when they saw how bold [29:40] Peter and John were and they realized or remembered they thought of it that these men are ignorant they're unlearned they're not they're not some highly educated people that should be encouraging to us right some of you are more highly educated than I am you had more schooling probably than I am I did but then they took note and they thought well they've been with Jesus you see they had a wisdom they had something that they didn't have even though they were the elders and the leaders and the they were the spiritually educated if you will in religion but they didn't have what Peter and John had and they recognized that we don't have to be highly educated to build on the solid rock of Jesus [30:50] Christ that is amazing that thought the apostles were not highly educated men in fact Jesus chose the more lowly ones to follow him the more lowly in society I believe that was for a reason but oh they understood they understood who their king was and who they were following he was the only way for them to live by every word that Jesus taught they proclaimed boldly I don't think they held anything back I don't think they said well we better not say that yeah he taught that but we better not say that because we don't quite live it either I think they proclaimed everything Jesus taught boldly they're not like people today they weren't like people today that hold back because well that doesn't really apply to [31:51] I mean that's pretty strong no they just said whatever Jesus gave them they were bold about it is it any wonder that today there are whole church groups I don't know if we can call them churches or not but that are saying that the teachings of Jesus in the four gospels this is true even right here in Plains Montana they're saying that the four gospels Jesus teachings sermon on the mount is not for us today they're saying well that he hadn't died yet so that's Old Testament that's not that's he put it away they're denying the kingdom of God they're denying that Jesus came and brought a new kingdom and they don't want to live by that but yet oh yes they believe in salvation they've dropped off literature at our shop to try to convince us and others it's a heresy that [33:07] Matthew Mark Luke and John are just Old Testament scriptures it's that's actually the transition into the new let's turn to Matthew chapter five and just look at that when I think about that I just get so disgusted with it with that doctrine it's I think they call it the Pauline doctrine or something or they just believe what Paul taught not what Jesus did what's so amazing is Paul brought and added to what Jesus taught he sure didn't take it away he would call it heresy if anyone would in Matthew five we're just going to read a little bit here there's it's a fairly long chapter but point out a few things here but we're talking about a kingdom a new kingdom or a new foundation I love how he starts the sermon and seeing the multitudes he went up into a mountain and when he was set his disciples came unto him and he opened his mouth and taught them saying blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth and we could go on and on with this chapter but just the way he was teaching them wouldn't you have liked to have been there never heard these words before the first time it had to have been a glorious message and it is today [34:44] I'm so glad it was recorded for us tells us to rejoice in verse 12 when we're persecuted he tells us to be the salt of the earth what good is salt if it's not salty you are the light of the world what good is the light if it's hidden let it shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father I didn't come to destroy the law and the prophets but I came to fulfill it in verse I think we'll go to verse 27 I just want to point out a few things that is very clearly different in God's kingdom today than in the world's kingdom and I there's no way I can even cover a half or a fraction of it but just a few principles in verse 27 he says you have said that it was said by them of old time thou shalt not commit adultery but I say unto you that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart and if thy right hand offend thee plug it out and cast it from thee for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell and if thy right hand offend thee cut it off and cast it from thee thank you for it is profitable that for thee that one of thy members should perish and not that thy whole body was cast into hell again can you imagine sitting there on that mountain hearing for the first time that you have said in the old days the old testament the old covenant that if you committed adultery or that thou shalt not commit adultery that it's sin but I tell you that if you just have lust in your heart same thing to God how that must have just struck every man there wow here we thought that guy you know now you're telling us if we have lust in our heart you see that the old kingdom the earthly kingdom in fact in our day it's not even wrong to commit it in our earthly kingdom that we live in even that is oh that's your business even in churches [38:01] I might add but Jesus see how he raised the standard let's go to verse 38 you have heard that it hath been said an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth you do wrong to me I do wrong to you you mistreat me I'll get even with you that's how it was but I say unto you this is why this is foundational doctrine it's foundation for us because Jesus said it and we're calling him Lord but I say unto you if Jesus said it unto us we have no business calling him Lord if we don't believe these things that he resist not evil that's a big one but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek turn the other one too you ever done that like physically done that wow first of all I hope nobody's here that smites the cheek [39:20] I taught my sons to never hit their sister but I forgot to tell them they shouldn't hit their brother either I was trying to defend the weaker I figured if they hit their brother they'll figure it out but anyway here he says that if you get hit on the right cheek just turn the other one too and if any man will sue thee at the law at the law and take away your coat give him your cloak also give him the big one the one that covers the coat give him that too I just had a discussion recently with an Amish bishop here in Plains and and they're they have a lawsuit going on up there a big one and and then the question came up well what if somebody just wants to take your house take your family obviously there's yeah [40:46] God's grace God will give us the answer if we ever come to those kinds of places Jesus didn't go there but he did say and I guess I would say that if I can do it you know conscientiously if I can you know Jeff you demand my coat hey I I have two coats I'll give you the other one too that's what Jesus is saying if I don't have two coats you're only getting the one right whatsoever or no I'm sorry verse 41 and whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile go with him too give to him that asketh thee and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away that's actually been a real one for me I think most of us here would not have a problem letting you know other people use your stuff and so on but we've had experiences where people and Joe [41:58] I think you have too I heard you share on the farm people will bring stuff back that are broke you know it just happened recently to us and it cost us money to fix it so we could use it again the next time thankfully we had Michael to help keep the cost down but what do you do with that do you okay now the guy's going to want it again he wants it every year am I going to keep loaning it to him those are good questions for us to consider to where we stand on because those things happen but when we consider them we must always do it in the light of the word of God as believers and I don't have the answer to everything on how to do all those things you know where to charge where not to charge we had a man from back in Ohio in our church that if he needed to make hay or something he would come to our pastor who was a dairy farmer and he'd say hey could I borrow [43:06] I need to borrow God's tractor and he'd to do God's work in my field or something like that you know I need your equipment I guess so I wouldn't have to go buy my own you know there's there is things like that that you know we would look at as out of order and so there is that side and that's what I'm trying to point out to us there is that side where you know what do you do with that I think maybe us brothers should have stepped up a little bit more and maybe challenged that brother he was too a proclaiming Christian you know but one person can't own everything and then let everybody else just use it because you don't want to spend the money but at the same time let's never take away from this verse where Jesus said that if somebody wants to borrow from you don't turn them away I mean he didn't go into a lot of explanation there he just said it so there we have it the word of God you have heard that it was said thou shalt love thy neighbor and hate thine enemy but I say unto you love your enemies bless them that curse you do good to them that hate you wow now it's not even just loaning something to somebody it's to do good to your enemies if they hate you and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you why that ye may be the children of your father which is the other kingdom from heaven for he maketh his son to rise on the evil and on the good sendeth rain to the just and the unjust then he goes on he says if you love them which love you what reward have you do not even the publicans or the sinners do that they love each other so what reward is that and if you salute your brethren only what do you more than others do not even the public and so be therefore perfect even as your father which is in heaven is perfect [45:36] I believe that Jesus is saying look you need to live the way your father is the way your king is the way your lord is he loves his enemies clearly he loved those that crucified him he even prayed for them as he was being crucified what is our foundation where do we make our decisions based off of how to respond to other people do I get this right every time I know I don't not even in my own family there's times we have to repent and say you know that's not I didn't turn the other cheek I didn't respond well to that accusation but what is our foundation do we go back to this our [46:40] Lord Jesus said you call me Lord but you don't do what I tell you the Jews had waited for generations for their Messiah to come and set up a new kingdom here on earth and many of them missed it completely and many are still waiting on him today because he didn't set up that kingdom the way they thought there are still many Jews waiting on their Messiah but it is very clear to us that he did establish his kingdom it was just a different kingdom he did he is the king of that kingdom its operation is completely different is the foundation of our faith based on the heavenly kingdom or the earthly one that we are so familiar with you you sue me [47:46] I'll sue you we're so familiar with that mindset it's all around us it's the world these things are foundational to the Christian faith and sadly many churches most churches today have rejected it they won't follow Christ's teaching when it hurts them when it cuts at who we are and what we want when we get tempted with lust do we view it through the eyes of the earthly kingdom that it's really not that big a deal nobody around me really cares or do we view it through the eyes of the heavenly kingdom the new kingdom the way Jesus taught that it's committing adultery in our heart when someone wrongs us do we want to retaliate the way the world has taught us or the way [48:59] Jesus has taught us what comes out of us when we feel frustrated or our selfish nature wants to take over are we selfish is that how we respond or are we humble and kind which foundation are we on true Christianity or the earthly so-called Christianity how we respond is who we are but we too can repent if we walk in an attitude of repentance I think that's key that we walk in an attitude of repentance willing to be open like our brother was this morning he just was open about his life something God's showing him that's a good example that we are open like that and walk in an attitude of repentance in fact I don't think we can walk in these principles without an open heart that says [50:04] I was wrong I want to be right because we don't walk this perfectly there are times that we miss it we miss the mark and is it any wonder that Jesus and John the Baptist came saying repent for the kingdom of heaven is here it's a new way of living that the world has never seen in fact when he died and the Holy Spirit came and the disciples were living in this kingdom they were starting to live it out it says they turned the world upside down people were confused because it was a new way a new kingdom a new way of living do we need this reminder that we are in this world but we are not part of it our citizenship is from another place and we're just passing through hear me on this we're just passing through this is not our citizenship there's people that fight and fight and spend their whole life trying to make this earthly kingdom better especially here in [51:29] America in a democracy where they fight and argue about how we can have this government has to be right and so much better and that's you know I'll leave that there's a part of that that's right especially when it comes to evil you know to resist those evil things however to remember that this is not our home this is not in fact we are only ambassadors of another city of another country this is not our final destiny so sad when people do that and then they forget all about the kingdom of God that we're supposed to be a part of when Jesus is our Lord we not only obey him but we are called to live in his likeness we're called to become like him not in deity we never become [52:36] God but to live like he lived to walk like he walked that is the mark that is the goal that our attitude reflects Jesus attitude that my response my responses become Christ like can the earthly kingdom the people can they see the heavenly kingdom in us can they see it what is our testimony from our close friends and from the world what is our testimony what put your name in there what's my testimony am I just known as a guy that's really difficult to get along with because I'm selfish if people were really honest what people were honest what would they say that really comes close to home doesn't it what legacy are we leaving back everybody leaves something we all leave a legacy some of us our dads have passed on and they've left a legacy they've left things that we remember and for me [54:06] I have a lot of good memories a lot of really good memories of my father some of the things that he was extremely strong on that I thought he was too strong on today are a strength to me even though we had our disagreements and we had hard times together honesty was one of the things that he was always so strong on to walk with integrity he would rather lose money than being right that's that's a strength he had and that means a lot to me today what will our legacy be do people know that we're not from this world we're here we obey the laws we follow the laws we live like we're citizens but we're really ambassadors from another country and we live by those principles is that our foundation if it is it won't be shaken and it'll get us through let's pray father we thank you for your word thank you lord for who you are for coming here and not just dying for us and paying for our sin but you showed us a new way to live lord you showed us how people are called to live in your kingdom and father [55:36] I pray that we would not miss it because we're so sidetracked by this kingdom here on earth but lord that we would study your word we would we would teach your word to our children and that it would become foundational in our lives that we would always look into your word when we face difficulty or when we come to a place where we don't have an answer that we would consider deeply what you have taught us lord jesus and may your word become precious and a road map a way of life a way of living how to respond how to repent how to love our enemies how to do good to them that despitefully use us it's so difficult but yet so profound and so right so true so lord i pray you'd help us give us boldness to proclaim these things and not just to proclaim them but to live them lord i pray we would be bold when it comes to living out your word that we would not be ashamed of the gospel but that we would accept it and receive it and walk it and that people know that people can say truly say that sure we might be unlearned but they know that we have been with jesus because we're like him father may that be our legacy and our testimony that we become like you help us lord we need you lord jesus we repent before you lord for the times we failed the times that we've not done these things according to your standard so lord we give ourselves to you and ask for your grace and your mercy we pray in jesus name amen thank you all and god bless your week to especial thank you son of스 BROWN please helpings, part AR 간 brokerage and chains walk to instagram and sur and before youfest dan quar
