Before you're seated, yes, if you may stand, let's do give just thanks to God by lifting up our voices and saying, thank you, God, first of all, for his amazing salvation and for his goodness and mercy that follows us all the days of our life. [0:14] Lord, we praise you this morning. Hallelujah. We bless you. Everybody just go ahead, lift up your hearts, lift up your voices, your hands and say, God, we worship you. We praise you. You're an awesome God. You're most glorious and you're most awesome. And Lord Jesus, we just thank you and praise you this morning. Hallelujah. [0:33] We thank you and praise you this morning. Jesus name. Amen. You can be seated. So as I mentioned, when I shared my first message taken out of Romans chapter eight, that I was expecting to continue to preach out of that verse. [0:55] And so that's where I'm still at this morning. In all these things, we're more than conquerors through him that loved us. [1:05] So this morning we're going to be focused on through him that loved us. Amen. Through him that loved us. And again, maybe just going back a little bit about in all these things. [1:23] Yes. And Joe mentioned the dry ground. I actually had that in my notes this morning to bring that up maybe with a little bit more. [1:38] I just just shared a briefly on it, but it's actually was a devotional. That I had read here some time ago that was very inspiring to him to me. [1:50] So again, the focus this morning will be through him that loved us. Because if we're going to be more than conquerors, we can try to do that in our own strength, our own abilities. [2:08] And probably most of the world is trying that to overcome. Yes. By their own strength. But the word of God says we are more than conquerors in all these things. [2:23] Yes. Let's not forget that part. In all these things. In what things? We are more than conquerors through him that loved us. [2:35] Through him that loved us. Again, thinking about all these things. We mentioned a little bit, you know, the book of Revelations. As it unfolds, there will be lots of all these things unfolding in the book of Revelations. [2:54] Right, James? We're aware of that when we look at the book of Revelations. There will be lots of intents in all these things. I thought, you know, Daniel, when he was sharing some of the verses this morning, you know, some of the things that were in those verses, we are troubled on every side. [3:16] And some of the things, that dry ground, troubled on every side. We are perplexed. And then I like those verses it talks about, but our affliction. [3:30] All these things, what? They work for us. They can be to our, to his eternal weight of glory that he's bringing upon us. [3:42] And I want us to keep that confidence that through him that loved us, all these things, again, that when we look at the book of Revelations, all these things that are going to come upon the earth, all these things can be light afflictions that work for our good. [4:02] And then, again, those verses that you shared, they call you Danny. I call you Daniel. Should I switch to Danny? It doesn't matter. By the way, it's great to have God answer our prayers. [4:16] Merlin, his wife, is here this morning. God is good. Can you say amen? God is awesome. Great to have you see you here with your wife this morning, Naomi, that you're in our midst. [4:28] But the verses that Danny was sharing is, it talks about in those verses about our afflictions, our distress. And again, what does it say? [4:41] We're perplexed on every side. We're troubled on every side. But then it says the things, if I can maybe change that a little bit, the things that we experience. [4:52] It says the things that we can see. But if I can say the things that we experience, the things in all these things, they're just temporary. Right? But the things that we cannot see are eternal. [5:05] And so by the grace of God, by the grace of God, we will be more than conquerors in all these things. That are just temporary light afflictions. [5:20] And how will we do that? Through him that loved us. Can you say amen this morning? Through him that loved us. Again, a couple of thoughts that I had as we were worshiping. [5:30] One of the young girls, I think, was it Kimberly or was it somebody else that requested the song? Or maybe, I'm not sure if it was a request. But just as I am, in thee I find. [5:45] O Lamb of God, I come, I come. It says one verse there, in fightings and fears. Right? Challenges. Many a doubt. [5:57] Lamb of God, I come, I come. So again, I'm going to expound a little bit here at the beginning. All these things. As I mentioned the other night that we shouldn't really just put our head in the sand and ignore the fact that we do go through things. [6:17] Jesus said, in the world you will have tribulation. The Bible says many are the afflictions of the righteous. Jesus said, I've spoken these things to you. [6:29] They're going to kill you, etc. So that you're not offended when these things happen. And it's okay for us to let some of that mindset is like, okay, I guess we're going to go through challenges in life. [6:41] So that we're not like, what's, God, you forgot about me. You know, we might be tempted with that sometimes. It's like, what is going on here? But it's good for us to know that, again, the promise is, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. [7:00] It doesn't say that we're not going to go through these things. Again, it says many are the afflictions of the righteous. It says we must, through much tribulation, enter the kingdom. [7:13] Yes? I was thinking about the aspect that Jesus learned obedience. What? By the things. [7:24] By the things he suffered. By the things he went through. Again, I'm expounding yet on that part. All these things. We are conquerors in all these things. And I might have those verses later in Romans 8. [7:38] What are those things he's talking about? I don't have them right now. But another place in the scriptures says, but in all things, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distress. [7:50] Again, the Amplified says, I have strength for all things. The King James says, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. [8:01] Can you say amen this morning? That God, by his grace, will empower us that we will be more than conquerors in all these things. [8:12] Even when we're walking on dry ground. I think I have that. I jotted it in my notes actually a little before Joe mentioned that. [8:25] But I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me. I am ready for anything and equal to anything through him who infuses inner strength into me. [8:36] Through him that loved us. We are more than conquerors through him that loved us. And in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. [8:47] Again, I have strength for all things in Christ. Do you believe that this morning? Joe, you have strength for all things. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. [9:00] Not the things that are present. The things that are coming. Paul said, I am persuaded. I am completely convinced. And we could read that list. And he expounds quite well that no depth, nothing. [9:11] Nothing. He said, the things that are coming. You know, I find it interesting. No other creature. I asked James the other night. They're talking now about these aliens, right? And you're like baffled. [9:23] Like, where does that come in? Are they going to be able to, like, come upon us and we weren't expecting? No. Even no other creature, he says. It's covered. Even if there's aliens that are going to come and they're going to come with their big thing. [9:38] The Bible says no other creature, nothing is going to be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ. Everything is covered. Yes? Even things that we might know. Dan, you might face some things that you never would imagine. [9:51] You know, we might be killed for our faith. But we can be assured that nothing is going to come upon us that can separate. And not only we're going to be conquerors, but we're going to be more than conquerors. [10:04] We're going to look at that, Lord willing, this afternoon about being more than conquerors. Right now we're focused on overcoming through him that loved us. I'm quoting somebody else here. [10:19] I think I changed a little bit, but quoting somebody. God does not keep a man immune from trouble. But God says, I will be with him in trouble. It does not matter what actual troubles in the most extreme form get a hold of man's life. [10:36] It doesn't really matter, you know. You can be facing some extreme challenges, but this person is expounding on it doesn't matter how extreme your situation be. [10:52] And then he says, we are more than conquerors in all these things. Again, I had this in my journal, and I found it as I was doing my search, preparing for my message. He says, Paul is not talking of imaginary things in Romans chapter 8. [11:07] Paul is not just thinking of imaginary things. He's talking about the things that are desperately actual and reality in our life. Right? He's not just talking about, you know, all these things. [11:21] He's expounding on things that you and I face. And he says, we are, he calls it this person, super victors in the midst of them. [11:36] Yes? We are more than conquerors. He calls, this person says, we are super victors. Can you say praise the Lord this morning? And can you say, I can do all things through Christ who gives all things. [11:48] Through Christ who gives me strength. Again, our focus this morning is going to be through the one who loved us. And those points are going to be important. [11:58] So Paul is not just talking about, he's talking about real things that affect the believers. But in them we are super victors in the midst of them, not by our cleverness, not by our courage, or by anything other than the fact that not one of these situations, not one of these things can affect our relationship with God. [12:27] Yes? Nothing can separate us from our relationship with God. Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. And if we cannot be separated from our relationship that we have been saved, we have been redeemed, then if God is for us, who could be against us? [12:46] Can you say amen? If nothing can separate us from God, from our relationship with God, who could prevail against us? [13:00] Jesus said, I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Do we believe the word this morning? We are secure that even if, as I mentioned, and I shouldn't even expound on that because we don't, but you can get like, what are these aliens that they're talking about? [13:19] But we're covered regardless of what comes upon the earth. No other creature. Nothing. No situation. If all the devils come against you, brother John, the one who is inside of you is greater than he that is in the world. [13:35] If all hell says, I'm going to target this man. There was a man by the name of Job, and it appears like all of hell came against this man. And he went through all these things, but he was more than a conqueror. [13:49] How was he more than a conqueror? He had double at the end of it all, did he not? We'll preach. I don't know that I'm going to mention Job this afternoon, but we'll preach about that this afternoon, Lord willing. [14:03] Now we're walking on dry land, right? I told you the other night, I love that idea, and I've always like, not literally maybe walking on water, but I'm a visionary person, and I think I'm somewhat enthusiastic in my walk with the Lord. [14:19] I love walking on water. But this is challenging. It's harder to walk on dry land sometimes than it is just walking on water. [14:31] Yes? I can say that. You know, it's like when I'm just waiting on the Lord and nothing is happening, and I just got to be faithful. [14:44] That's more challenging for me than walking on water. I like the verse that says, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. [14:56] They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. It's easier for me to run. You know, that's exciting for me. [15:06] I'm running. Things are happening. But then when it's like you're walking, nothing's happening. But they who wait upon the Lord, they will renew their strength. [15:17] When you're walking on dry ground, all right, this devotional says, and again, I just pulled out parts of this devotional that inspired me on this some time ago. [15:28] It requires the supernatural grace of God to live 24 hours of every day as a saint, going through drudgery, living in ordinary, unnoticed, this being a disciple of Jesus. [15:42] That takes the supernatural grace of God to walk on dry land. He said, in all these things, you're going to be more than confident. [15:53] So he gives us the grace through him that loved us to walk on dry ground and to be more than conquerors in all these things. [16:08] Walking on water is easy to someone with impulsive boldness. My wife knows that many times I can have impulsive boldness. It gets me in trouble sometimes. I look at at least one of our sons and it's like, he doesn't make as many mistakes as his dad, you know, because he thinks things through more to his advantage. [16:28] But I like walking on water and I think my son does too, but sometimes he's more rational than I am. But this is a challenge that, again, walking on water is easy to someone with impulsive boldness, but walking on dry land as a disciple of Jesus Christ is something altogether different. [16:50] Peter walked on the water to go to Jesus, but he followed Jesus at a distance on dry land. Yes? On dry land, when Jesus was going to the cross, when it meant, okay, this is dry land now, he followed Jesus at a distance and said, I don't know that man. [17:07] I have no idea who that man is. When we say, just as I am without one plea, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. [17:18] Let your grace empower me to walk on dry land. I believe the promise is out of Romans chapter 8 that we can and we will be more than conquerors in all these things. [17:32] Can you say amen? That's the promise to us. Don't know what you're facing, what you're facing, but in all these things. And again, you read Romans chapter 8, the whole chapter, you know, it brings things out that I'm not bringing out this morning in my message. [17:50] But all these things are very real to us. It's a great thing, again, I'm quoting another person. It's a great thing to be a conqueror. It's a great thing to be a conqueror in an average Christian life. [18:04] It is a much greater thing to be a conqueror in all these things, in trials, in troubles, in weariness, in distress, as I added some things, as the book of Revelations unfolds. [18:15] It's a greater thing to be more than conquerors in all these things than it is just living in a time when things are peaceful, there's no intensity, and the whole world is, you know, and we're conquerors. [18:27] Okay, that's a good thing. It's a greater thing that in the midst of all the things that are coming upon us, God is going to empower us and through Him that loved us, we are going to be more than conquerors. [18:40] We embrace that this morning. That nothing that's going to come upon us is going to stop us from being victorious. And again, this afternoon, we're going to look at, it's actually not talking about being conquerors. [18:52] Now, I'm getting, I'm getting something ahead of myself. I got to say something because I started it. It's not talking about being conquerors. [19:03] Yes? It's talking about something else because it says more than. Yes? [19:15] It's not telling us we're going to be conquerors. He's talking about something else. Walking on dry ground, and again, this person that wrote that devotional, I think it was A.B. Simpson maybe, I'm not sure. [19:30] He's talking about discipleship. It's built entirely on the supernatural grace of God. We might think that walking on water is the supernatural power of God, but he says walking on dry ground is based entirely on the supernatural grace of God. [19:48] that makes me think of, I've said this before, I don't know if I ever said it to you, but I'm speaking to those now that you may think you don't have an amazing testimony. [20:04] You know what the greatest testimony is in the church? This is what I believe sincerely. We're fascinated by testimonies of people saying, you know, I was a rebel. [20:16] I was a drunk. You know, the greatest testimony is somebody can say, I never drank alcohol. I never took any drugs. I never had sex before marriage. [20:27] I've always tried to live a God. That's the greatest testimony anybody could have. Can you say amen? If you're striving to have that testimony, I'll say that you can have the greatest testimony that anybody can have that you say, I walked on dry ground. [20:49] Okay, we praise God for those testimonies when somebody was gloriously delivered. We thank God for that. But we should be more grateful. We should be more thankful for those people that how amazing that is that in this generation, in this society, that a woman could say, I never had sex before marriage. [21:07] A man could say, I never smoked a cigarette. I, you know, I've refrained from cursing. I've never done any of those things. We should say, God is amazing that he could keep a man or a woman in this day. [21:20] And we should say, God, you're so glorious. You're so amazing. And we should appreciate those testimonies as seeing them. Okay. Now we're getting to the point about being conquerors. [21:35] What is the point of the message? Through him that loved us. Through him that loved us. I've been inspired by the leper in the scriptures that came to Jesus. [21:52] And I want to bring out a point here about this leper. We're talking about through him that loved us. And we're going to be looking at two things. When we think about through him that loved us, we're looking at two things. [22:08] And one is his greatness. And the other is his love. Are you following me? Through him. Him. Who are we talking about? The almighty. [22:20] Yes? Through him. That nothing is impossible. Now if we miss that, our faith will be limited if we just focus on the fact that God is love, but we don't know if he is able. [22:35] Yes? Abraham was convinced that God was able to perform that which he had promised. But the other element is you can have a revelation and understanding of God's greatness, but doubt his love. [22:56] And your faith will always be hindered. Are you with me? Your faith will always be hindered if you have a revelation of his greatness and his majesty. [23:11] And you know, those who have struggled with intense discouragement or intense depression, many of those people, I would say, they keep their aspect that God is able, but you begin to doubt his love because you're going through all these things. [23:32] Yes? And if you're not rooted and grounded in his love, and that's my exhortation, it's through him that loved us. Paul said, nothing can separate us from his love. [23:44] So when he's talking about being more than conquerors in all these things, he is bringing in very clearly the element of love. So the leper came to Jesus. [23:55] I have it here, but I'm not totally aware if it says he came running. I don't know for sure if it says he came running to Jesus, but whether he came running or not, he came to Jesus, a leper. And if we know lepers, you know, it's, at least in those days, I think it's still pretty much that way, is it's a very, very devastating situation to be in. [24:18] Perhaps the most devastating situation you could find yourself from a perspective of you're cut off from society, you've got to, you know, live at a place where nobody can touch you, nobody can interact with you. [24:31] So I'm applying that to you're in a extremely difficult situation. All these things have come upon you, or some of them have come upon you. [24:42] So you come to Jesus, and this leper said to Jesus, if thou wiltest, thou canst. What did he just say? [24:53] In our everyday languages, if you want to, you can. So he wasn't doubting Jesus' ability. He says you can. What he was doubting, I don't know if you want to or not. [25:08] So he was not sure of how much love Jesus had for him. I hope you get this point, because through him that loved us, yes? [25:20] Not just through him that is the almighty, not just through him that has the power, but yes, through him, through him, but also the one that loved us. So the leper said, if you want to, you can. [25:34] Cleanse me from my leprosy. Again, remember, this was an extremely difficult situation. situation. And you can look at your situation, various situations. [25:44] I'm a young girl, and I'm going to live fully for God in the midst of all this peer pressure and all this, you know, other youth compromising, and how am I going to do that? And you begin to question, how am I going to be able to do that? [25:56] Through him that loves us. Yes? And so this person knew that God had the ability, but wasn't sure that Jesus wanted to. I find it so encouraging when Jesus looks at this leper and said, I want to. [26:13] Can you say amen this morning? Jesus looks at his people and says, I want to. Be healed. Awesome Jesus, is he not? There's a reason that we can thank him 24 hours a day and never just get into the routine. [26:29] You kind of commended on that. Didn't say it quite with those words, but it just becomes kind of a routine. We say thank you. No, no, there's something in us and say, thank you Jesus. You're awesome. Not only do you, can you, but you want to. [26:44] This totally changed the leper's mindset. He knew he could, but he wasn't sure he wanted to. Jesus confirmed, I want to. And we have good news this morning that we have a God who loves us even when we're yet sinners. [26:59] He died for us. Awesome Jesus. How much more now that we are serving him, can we have confidence if he loved us? [27:10] You know, even when you were in your Amish situation, Merlin, and you were prepared to get married and then you get confused like, why am I, well, I was just getting ready to get married. [27:20] But you can trust the Lord. He has a good plan for your life because he is love. Yes? And if he, at that time, I don't think you were very deep in God, but if he was watching out for you then, yes? [27:33] I don't know if you were considered a sinner at that point, but in some ways, Dan, your family was still lost, I think. But God was working on your behalf. And he was searching for you even when you weren't searching for him. [27:47] Yeah, you were searching a little bit. I look at my own life and I was just trying to be a really, really good religious person. I was expecting, had a good wife, you know, but was kind of just, you know, I don't have peace in my heart. [28:01] Well, I guess I got to become more traditional and wear better Amish clothes. I was Amish at the time. And I tried all those things and I wasn't looking for Jesus. [28:13] I was looking to become a better religious person, but Jesus was looking for me because he is love. And if he loved us even when we were not lovable, should we not have the full confidence that he's going to take care of us? [28:35] And we're going to overcome through him that loved us. God says, I have loved you with an everlasting love. I don't know if it's the same chapter or not, but it's amazing. [28:50] And those of you that have, you know, babies or had babies, Merlin, you may have one of the youngest. [29:01] Is there a younger child here than Merlin and Naomi's baby? It says, if a mother, if it's possible for a mother, a nursing mother, a mother that's still nursing her baby, it's a small baby, God is like asking the question clearly, I'm expounding on it a little bit, would it be possible for that mother to forget her child? [29:28] God is asking that. Would it be possible for a mother to forget her nursing child? She might be a wicked person. She might not be following God in any way, but God is asking the question, would that be possible? [29:45] And then he says, if that's possible, yet I will not forget you. So God is saying, well, very, very, very unlikely, almost impossible, but yeah, I guess that could happen. [29:56] But less likely than that, God says, I will not forget you. Isn't God amazing that we can have full confidence in his love? [30:08] Again, the leper said, if you want to, you can't. Doubting his love. It's good for us not to doubt his love because the evidence is not just words. [30:22] Sometimes we can use words lightly and we can say, you know, I love you, I love you, I love you, and you say, you really got to be kidding me because your actions don't prove that. Yes? And I think sometimes God would just say, just stop saying that because there's no evidence that you love me. [30:39] We have no need of any more evidence that God loves us. He sent his son, Jesus, to die for us. Can you say amen? It's not just words from God. [30:51] God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. We're expounding on his love because the Bible says, through him that loved us. [31:06] So again, my note says, the leper had an understanding, had a revelation of the greatness of God. The leper had that understanding. He said, if you want to, you can. So he really understood the ability. [31:18] Not everybody was convinced maybe that Jesus could, but it seems like he was convinced that Jesus could. Right? And he had that understanding because he said, you can. [31:30] You have the ability. Now when we think of God's greatness, because that word you can, if we just think of his love but we doubt his ability, then that also hinders our faith. [31:47] I don't know if God can get me out of this situation. Yes? Jehoshaphat was like, no, this battle is too great for us and we don't know what to do. [31:58] But our eyes are upon you. Sometimes you just got to keep yourself at that place. I don't know what to do, but I will not take my eyes off of God. [32:10] And with that, you can have the full confidence, not necessarily you know how it's going to work out, but you know it's going to work out. Yes? All things work for the good to those that love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. [32:28] Back two weeks ago whenever we were thinking of coming out here, I was thinking about preaching on his purpose. But all things work for the good to those who love God, who are called, not because you're following your agenda or you're trying to, you're living a selfish life and trying to accomplish what you want to accomplish, but if you live for his purpose, then you can have full confidence that even the gates of hell cannot prevail against this church. [32:56] because you're striving to live for his purpose. Thank you so much. So his greatness. [33:12] God, God proclaims his greatness. I think I mentioned that the other night that in the midst of the plagues, in the midst of all these challenges, the Lord says, I am the Lord. [33:29] Could you hear that as a church? Could you hear that as an individual? When you look at the intensity of all these things that I've faced, I am facing, or you realize that I may face some even greater things. [33:46] God, Jesus said to Peter, you know, there was a time when you went where you wanted to go, but the time is coming where you're going to go even where you don't want to go. Another will gird you. [33:57] He's talking about his death, Peter's death. So there was things coming that Peter denied the Lord before, and there was things coming, there could be things coming upon us that we, would be good to say, God, fill me with your spirit, give me extra oil, because the things that may be coming upon us, God, we're going to need your grace. [34:23] But can you hear the Lord saying, I'm the Lord? Can you hear the Lord saying, I'm the Lord? And do you need, do you need to hear anything else? [34:35] You say, not only is he the Lord, but he is the Lord that loves us. But right now, we're focused on God saying, I'm the Lord. Yes? I am God. And he says, who are you going to liken me to? [34:50] Is there any other God? Is there any other force? And that's what God himself says. To whom will you liken me? [35:01] Or who am I equal with? Says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and behold, who has created all these things. And then Isaiah says, he calls them all by names, by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong and power. [35:19] And then he asks a question. Have you not known? Have you not heard? And it's good for us to ask ourselves that question, or maybe somebody for asking us that question, when we're in doubt, when we're in fear, when we're in distress. [35:35] Have you not heard? Have you not understood who God is? And you're his handmaiden? Do you have any reason to be discouraged? [35:47] Do you have any reason to walk in unbelief? Have you not heard? That's what I hear Isaiah said. Have you not understood? Oh, it's like God asking that through Isaiah. [35:58] I believe that. God is saying, what is your problem? Don't you understand that I am the Lord? And we come back like the lepers. You can. [36:10] You can. I don't doubt that you can. And if you are love, then I hear you saying, I want to. I will. And then you say, okay, then I'm going to be peaceful and I'm going to be a conqueror. [36:23] No, I'm not going to be a conqueror. I'm going to be something else. Right? More than a conqueror. It's not a conqueror. It's something different. Are you following me? It's something different than being a conqueror. [36:34] He's saying something more than that. He doesn't tell us what it is. I have some thoughts on that. And so I'm going to say, well, yeah, I guess I should understand that. [36:47] I guess I should consider that. Have you not heard? Have you not understood? You know, I have heard and, you know, I think I understand. So let my heart be quiet. Let my heart be peaceful. Let me be calm. [36:58] Let me rest in his love. And somebody say, amen. Why should I fear? Why should I fret? Why should I be in distress? Oh, I'm perplexed, but I'm not overcome. [37:10] Paul says that. I'm perplexed. I'm distressed, but I don't stay there. David, over and over again, I'm distressed, but then he's praising the Lord. Just a statement later, you know. [37:22] Oh, my enemies, and I'm overwhelmed, and then he does not stay in that condition. Can you say amen? No, no, no, no, no. He doesn't stay in that condition. It's real. It's not just like superficial things out there. [37:36] These things are real. We face these things, and David faced these things, but he didn't stay there. Was it him? I think it was him. People were speaking of stoning him, and he was in distress. [37:51] He encouraged himself in the Lord. I wonder how he did that. Probably two things. God is able, and he had a revelation, and he talked about that. [38:03] God's mercy is being new every morning, so he knew that God was mercy. I don't think there was anything more than you could encourage yourself in, that everything's going to be okay, than thinking of God's greatness. [38:17] You can, and you hear him saying, I want to. Not just I can, I want to. I don't think there's anything. I mean, you could go down the path of saying, well, I can go make a loan. [38:29] I can go to, you know, the bank. I can do this. I can do that. I can, you know, try to get a lot of support from people. I can, you know, you can go down that path, but your faith will always be limited when you try to figure it out yourself. [38:46] Are you with me this morning? Your faith will always be limited. But when you hear God saying, it's not you that's going to speak. You don't even have to premeditate what you're going to say, but I'm going to put my words in your mouth. [39:00] Oh, okay. That's beyond me. Right? That's beyond me. I don't know how I'm going to, what I'm going to say to this person. I don't know what I'm going to do, but God says, well, it's not going to be you. [39:13] It's going to be me inside of you. And then you say, whoa, there's no limit to what can happen. Yes? Oh, I'm going to go to bed at night and sleep peacefully. Even if my enemies are surrounding me. [39:25] You know, Elijah's, was it Elijah's servant says, Elijah, was it Elisha? Maybe it was Elisha. We're surrounded. And it's like Elisha said, God opened his eyes. [39:39] It's like, it's not a problem here because those that are with us. Yes? Those that are with us are greater than those that are against us. [39:53] Paul says it this way. If God is for you, who can be against you? Think about that. If God, the Almighty, the one who knows all the stars by name, and the one who created the stars, the one who says, there's none equal with me, and none can be compared with me. [40:15] I am the Lord and there's none else and he is for you. Should we not, should we not have the confidence, I will overcome. [40:26] I will be victorious. In all these things, I will be more than a conqueror. Through him, not in my own strength, not my own ability, not because I know some wealthy people or not because I've got a lot of friends, but through him, hallelujah. [40:48] And that qualifies all the women, all the sisters. You know, you might not know a lot of wealthy people. Maybe your husband knows people that you don't know and he's got some influence, but that's not what it's depending on, how many people you know that are powerful and strong. [41:06] Yes? It's depending on your Father in heaven, the one that loves us, through him that loves us. [41:20] Through him. God says, have you not known, have you not heard that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, there's no searching of his understanding. [41:32] In Psalms it says, his greatness is unsearchable. Again, just to clarify, the leper, and I'll maybe just read that. No, actually I won't because I already expounded on it. [41:45] If you want to, you can. Jesus said, I want to. What forth he said and touched him saying, I will be thou clean. Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. So, my thoughts is, knowing his love will bring an increase of our faith. [42:02] Knowing his love will bring an increase of our faith. So, again, what does it say? Through him that loved us. We're going to be more than conquered. Knowing his love. [42:14] If you doubt his love, if you don't keep yourself in his love, it will always affect your measure of faith. Knowing his power without knowing his love will greatly hinder our faith. [42:32] Knowing his power. Knowing his power Deuteronomy 10, this is out of another version. It says, look, the highest heavens and the earth and everything in it all belong to the Lord your God. [42:45] So, that's the first statement. The highest heavens and the earth and everything in it all belong to the Lord his greatness, his majesty. And then it says, yet, in his greatness, in his glory, in his majesty, yet the Lord chose your ancestors as the objects of his love. [43:04] And he chose you. This is Deuteronomy 10, verse 14 to 16. And he chose you, their descendants above all other nations as is evident today. Therefore, change your hearts and stop being stubborn. [43:18] He is so great and yet he has set his love upon us. You know, I've thought about the Muslim people. They don't grasp that. [43:29] They emphasize God's greatness, God's majesty. And they perhaps do a good job of that. But they don't grasp his love through his son, Jesus Christ. [43:44] We have the revelation through Jesus Christ of his love. And we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. And again, the same chapter, who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [44:00] this person talks about shall tribulation. And again, that's taken out of Romans chapter 8. Tribulation, be what it may, it could be exhausting, it could be despairing, but it will not separate us from the love of God. [44:19] It cannot separate us from the love of God. Tribulation. Then, it talks about famine, shall famine. shall famine. And this person says, even while we're being starved, we not only believe in the love of God, can we not only believe in the love of God, but even also when we're being starved, even in famine, we are more than conquerors. [44:43] Yes? To be more than a conqueror, I believe, it can come down to the place where I've died, they've killed me, but there's nothing else that they can do. [44:59] What else are they going to do to me? And I'm more than a conqueror. Even if I die and I'm crucified and I'm killed, but I have the mentality, that's a victory for me. [45:10] And there's nothing else I can do. It's not a real big deal. Because they're limited, our enemies are limited to what they can do. And this person says, some extraordinary things happen. [45:26] And I think he's expounding on Romans chapter 8. Some extraordinary things happen to a man or woman who holds on to the love of God. When all the odds are against you, when all these things or some of these things are against you, but you keep yourself in the love of God. [45:46] This person says, you will see extraordinary things begin to happen in your life. And if we can say, we will be more than conquerors through him that loved us if we keep ourself in his love. [46:01] Though all hell breaks out against us. And this person says, human reasoning, I think I changed it a little bit, but human reasoning is silenced in the face of every one of these things. [46:19] Yes? When we keep ourselves in the love of God and keep our faith in the God who is love and the God who is able, and we say, not only do you want to, but I believe you will because you are love and you have the ability. [46:35] And then all human logic, I think that's the word that this person used, I used all human reasoning, but he says, all human logic is silenced before this God and before this man or before this woman who has the faith and keeps himself or herself in the love of God. [46:56] And then he says, out of my despair, I arise every time. Can you say amen? Out of my despair, in my distress, in all these things, I'm more than a conqueror. [47:16] Through him that loved me. And out of my despair, see if I have this one verse here, it's not exactly the word for word, but the phrase I like, it's something like this. [47:31] He causes us to triumph in every situation. I think the King James simply says, he always causes us to triumph. He always. [47:42] To me, that's in every situation. Yes? In all things. He always causes us to triumph. That's the word of God. This is not just me trying to pump you up or saying good words. [47:54] This is God's word this morning. That we are more than conquerors in all these things. Through him that loved us. And he causes us to triumph in every situation. [48:09] So out of my despair, I arise every time because I continue trusting in the love of God. And through the almighty one that loved me, I overcome in every situation. [48:23] May you embrace that and may that be a reality in your life. That by keeping yourself in the love of God and by trusting in him, that in all these things, you will always be victorious. [48:34] You will always be triumphant through him that loves you. So again, my notes say, I want to emphasize the love of God than close with through him. [48:56] I think I've already done a lot of that. but he wants to convince us of his love towards us. Will you allow the spirit to convince you further this morning of his love towards you personally? [49:17] Paul said, he loved me and gave himself for me. That's in Galatians chapter 2, I think it is, in verse 20 perhaps, where there's no longer I that lives, but Christ that lives in me, who loved me and gave himself. [49:32] You know, if you really want Christ to say, I'm not alive anymore, well, I'm alive, but not really me because it's now him living his life in me, it has to come through the revelation of his love. [49:44] The one who loved me and gave himself for me. And it talks about being strengthened with might by his spirit in the inner man. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith that you being rooted and grounded in love. [50:00] May each one of us this morning be rooted and grounded in his love. And then we can say, through him that loved us, we will be more than comforted in all these things. [50:12] We are rooted and we are grounded in his love. And we're strengthened with might by his spirit in the inner man because we're rooted and grounded in his love. We have faith in him and then we're strengthened with all might and I think the same portion of verses says that you might be filled with all the fullness of God. [50:31] And if you're filled with all the fullness of God, who could be against you? If we are filled with all the fullness of God, if we're rooted and grounded in his love. [50:45] this person says, I was afraid. He's talking about he was going to the train station and talking about what he was going through. I'm not going to say all those things but again, I don't even have the names of the person. [51:00] He says, I was afraid. I did not see the better things God had for me and my soul was shrinking back and then for the last time with a swift rush of convicting power came to my innermost heart that searching message. [51:20] He had heard this statement before and it was like when he says for the last time this came piercing into my heart from what I picked up when he was writing this is like then it was finished. [51:33] I've got it. Okay. I hope somebody this morning when you hear what he experienced you say, okay, it's finished. I have it. I don't have to go back to that anymore and this is what was finished. [51:47] He says, my soul was shrinking back then for the last time with a swift rush of convicting power came to my innermost heart that searching message and this was the message. [51:58] My child, you can trust the man that died for you. You say amen. My child, you can trust the man who died for you. [52:18] Through him that loved us. We are more than conquerors. It's not talking this morning about saying we're going to be mighty men and mighty women. It's talking about trusting in the man who died for us. [52:32] And he rose again and he is seated at the right hand of God Almighty. Trust in him, my brother, my sister. So that searching message was, my child, you can trust the man that died for you. [52:49] And then the question was, if you cannot trust him, who are you going to trust? trust? Yes? If you cannot trust him, who are you going to trust? [53:06] You can maybe trust in your pastor, but I think he's flesh and blood like I am. I think he's going to make a mistake now and then. And if you put your trust in him, someday you'll be disappointed. [53:19] If you put your trust in me, someday I'm going to let you down. But the one who died for you, you can trust him. You can trust him even if all hell rises against you and your wife says, why don't you just curse God and die? [53:37] No. You're going to trust God. He gave his son to die for me. And I will not doubt him. You say praise the Lord. So this was the question that came to him and it settled it. [53:52] I will do that. I don't need to go back to that anymore because the man who died for me, it says that settled it for me. [54:03] That settled it for me. What settled it? The question or the statement. My child, you can trust the man that died for you. That settled it for me for in a flash, I saw that the man who so loved me as to die for me could be absolutely trusted with all the aspects of my life. [54:24] In all the things, and I'm adding some things here, but in all the things that might come upon me. Tribulation, distress, creatures from other planets. [54:35] Nothing is going to be able to separate us from his love. He died for us. We can trust him. He gave his life for us. So in a flash, it settled once and for all in my heart. [54:48] The man who loved me so much to die for me could be absolutely trusted with all aspects of my life. He saved my life. I will trust him with all my life. He saved my life, and now I'm going to trust him in every aspect of my life. [55:05] God commended his love towards us in that way we were yet sinners. Christ died for us. Much more than now being justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. [55:15] For if when our enemies, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. If he loved us when we were yet sinners, now that we've been washed with his blood, can we not trust him? [55:30] If he loved us when we were still in our confusion and really didn't love him, we may have loved our religion or trusted in our religion, but I certainly wasn't pursuing him from my heart. [55:46] And he went after me and redeemed me and filled me with his spirit and gave me a heart to love him. I think I should be able to trust him. [55:56] If he loved me and went after me even when I wasn't looking for him, I think I should be able to trust him and I would say you likewise. [56:08] He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us, for us all, how shall he not rather with him also freely give us all things? [56:22] Through God. Still have a a little bit of preaching, maybe five, ten minutes. Through God who loved us. [56:35] We talked about his love, now I want to just emphasize a little bit through God, the one who loved us. We expounded who this God is. He's the one who knows the stars all by name. He's the one that says there's none equal with me. [56:47] He's the one that says I am the Lord. He's the one that we know he can. And now the statements, some statements out of the word of God. And I found this at least three times I think in the book of Psalms. [57:00] It's pretty much word for word. I just have one portion, but I think it's at least three times it's written in Psalms. Through God we shall do violently, for it is he that shall dread down our enemies. [57:12] Through the one who loved us we will be more than conquerors. Through God we shall do violently, and through him we shall tread down our enemies. Can somebody say yes? [57:22] Praise the Lord. Again in Psalms, by thee, by thee. That's our focus as we're closing. It's through him. It's by him. For by thee, through him, we are going to be more than conquerors. [57:40] For by thee I have run through a troop, and by my God I have leaped over a wall. He teaches my hands to war, so the above steel was broken by my arms, for you have girded me with strength onto the battle. [57:54] Can somebody say yes? Through him I will be strengthened with might by his spirit in my inner man. I'm going to run through troops by him. [58:04] I'm going to leap over walls through him. Nothing is going to be impossible because I'm putting my faith in the one that there is nothing impossible. And it's not your faith, it's the one that you have faith in. [58:19] Yes? Have faith in God. Not faith in your faith or faith in yourself or faith in your faith. Have faith in God. [58:31] And you can say by him, the one that I have faith in, the one that there's nothing impossible with him, by him I'm going to run through troops. If you do a study troops, you know, there's a battle, there's a war, and there's a whole army of people and you're alone and you're going to say I'm going to run through that whole troop because the hand of God is upon my life. [58:52] Yes? And there's going to be a wall. You know, when you think of a wall, it stops you from making progress. But you're going to leap over that wall, Brother Dan, through him. By him, he's going to teach my hands to war. [59:05] I'm going to be mighty in battle through him. He's going to strengthen me through him that loved us. We will be more than conquerors. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but what? [59:19] Mighty through God. Yes? Brother Joe, through God. What's the text that we're talking about? Through him that loved us. [59:31] Through God. In him, we will be more than conquerors. Mighty through God. Not again, our own efforts, but through him. [59:43] Us abiding in him. Him abiding us. We are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations. Every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ. [59:58] Through God, you're mighty in battle. Through God, you can bring down strongholds and weapons that are formed against you. Through God, if God is for you, who can be against you? [60:09] If God has his hand upon your life, if he's abiding in you, he makes you mighty in battle. If we could stand to our feet. [60:26] Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called. In the same chapter that we're preaching out of Romans chapter 8, those whom he predestinate, them he also called. And whom he called, them he also justified. [60:39] And whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we say then to these things if God is for us, who can be against us? He justified you. Now, if you're sitting here this morning and you're not walking a righteous life, it doesn't apply to you. [60:54] Yes? If you're not, if you're walking in the flesh, if you're living a carnal life, if you're not being a humble, repentant person, it doesn't apply to you. [61:05] You can't say that God is for me. But if he is sanctifying us, if he is glorifying us, if he is for us, again, God fights for his people. [61:22] Not that we have all the correct strategies, but if God is for us, if God is for us, that's the key. We can be more than conquerors if God is for us. [61:33] Now, if he's not for us, we could try day and night to be more than a conqueror. We're never going to prevail. You know, the greatest stronghold, the greatest stronghold that could be against us, the greatest stronghold, any other stronghold you don't have to worry about. [61:51] But if God is against us, there's a real stronghold that we're not going to be able to overcome. Yes? I hope you got that. If God is opposing us, if God is against us, that's a major stronghold that we will never overcome. [62:10] But if God is for us, if God is establishing, has established, is establishing this church, the gates of hell will not be able to prevail against it. [62:23] It's not possible. My wife and I, we talk about it sometimes. We remember the church went down to a handful of people, not even a handful of families. [62:37] And it was at least twice, maybe three times, like, maybe we're going to have to close the doors because nobody's coming anymore. [62:50] Remember, we remember the one time specifically. It was kind of like a prophecy before that. Okay, if you people walk out, God's going to bring the street people. And he did. And that's what kept the church going. [63:04] Those who wanted to live selfish lives, they all left. They didn't like the standard that we took. And they left. A handful of them left. [63:15] And we were talking about, well, maybe we won't be able to go on. And about that time, there's like nine people that come from the homeless shelter in the city. [63:27] And they kept the church alive and we're all rejoicing and happy. Let me say, if God is for you and if God is building the church, nothing can prevail against it. [63:38] Nothing. Because he is God. And through him. And through him. The song, I had this in my journal some time ago. [63:50] I just put a portion of it in. One with Christ I will encounter. Harm and hatred for his name. But mine is armor for this battle. [64:03] Strong enough to last the war. Brother John, you can have full confidence. You have the army for this battle. Strong enough to last the war. [64:15] I don't know if you know that song but it's a beautiful song. Because God has said he will deliver safely to the golden shore. Come rejoice now oh my soul later in the song for his love is my reward. [64:34] In closing. I have a question for you. Who shall separate us from the love of God? [64:52] Shall tribulation or distress shall persecution or famine or neggedness or pearl or sword? [65:04] I'm asking you a question. Who shall separate us? what things could separate us from the love of Christ? [65:19] No, actually it's written. For his sake we are killed all the day long. We are counted as sheep for the slaughter. Yes, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. [65:32] And somebody shout and say thank you Jesus. And I am persuaded my question is finished now I'm making a statement with Paul. [65:45] I am convinced it's settled in my heart. That's what he's saying. It's settled. It's done. That neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor the things that I'm going through currently and not the things that are coming no heights no depths no other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. [66:23] thank you.
