[0:00] And this is my, this is kind of my burden, I guess, in coming here for us, not just for the church here, but for all of our churches. I'm pressing on the upward way.

[0:13] New heights I'm gaining every day. Wow. I don't, I don't know if that's totally true or not for me.

[0:25] I don't think it is every, all the time, but I, at least whatever is written here, I believe it is potentially, it is true, it is possible. Still praying as I'm onward bound, Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

[0:43] My heart has no desire to stay where doubts arise and fears dismay. How many times are we, do we struggle with fears and doubts?

[0:57] How many times do we, how many times do we doubt the word of God? How many times does Satan whisper and say, yea, if God really said, does the word of God really mean that?

[1:11] I just love that thought. My heart has no desire to stay where doubts arise and fears dismay. Though some may dwell where these abound, my prayer, my aim is higher ground.

[1:24] And we can maybe sing this at the end tonight, we'll see. I want to live above the world, though Satan's darts at me are hurled.

[1:37] For faith has caught the joyful sound, the song of saints on higher ground. I want to scale the utmost height and catch a gleam of glory bright.

[1:50] But still I'll pray till heaven I've found, Lord, lead me on to higher ground. And one thing I just want to say, I love that thought there, that last verse.

[2:03] The thought of regardless how far we've gone in our walk and our journey with the Lord, there's always so much further to go. So he says, I'm just going to keep praying.

[2:14] Or the author here. I guess it's the guy. I'm going to keep praying till heaven I've found. Because I know there's always going to be a higher plane spiritually that we can attain to.

[2:30] And then, Lord, lift me up and let me stand on heaven's table. By faith on heaven's table land. A higher plane than I have found.

[2:41] Lord, plant my feet on higher ground. So I trust that that can be our heart tonight. That we can just be stirred tonight to seek the Lord and to seek a higher place.

[2:57] I just hope we're not content with where we are. That's just, that's so fatal spiritually.

[3:09] When, if we just, if we come to a place and we think, well, I'm better than I was. And so I'm just kind of content with that. And may the Lord stir our hearts tonight.

[3:23] Let's just pray again. Father, just thank you that you are so great. You're so high. You're so exalted. And you have so much planned for us, Father.

[3:35] And you have so much to impart to us. And so much to teach us, Lord. And so far to bring us, Father. I just, I believe that, Father. I believe that without a doubt.

[3:47] That you have so far that you want to bring us and lead us yet, Father. As we're here on this earth. And I just pray that you would speak through your word, Father.

[3:58] Father, I pray that your own desire and heart would be manifested here tonight in what I share. And may it be, Father, what's in your heart.

[4:09] And just pray that we would all have ears to hear. Your grace would be upon us to stir our hearts, Father. And I pray this in Jesus' name.

[4:21] Amen. Amen. Amen. Okay, I want to start in Deuteronomy chapter 1.

[4:33] So you can turn there if you have your Bibles. And I'm not sure if I, when I go around and preach at a lot of different churches, I don't remember what I preach where.

[4:52] So I don't know. I don't know if I mentioned this or not when I was here the last time. But this is something that several, maybe several years ago, I'm not sure, the Lord laid on my heart.

[5:06] And I just, I don't know. I just felt like it was just something that, that he just keeps me reminding me, maybe I'll put it that way, of this scripture.

[5:21] And this, yeah, I'm not going to take my message out of here, but I want to start here. In Deuteronomy 1, verse 1. These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel, on this side, Jordan, in the wilderness.

[5:43] He says this twice here in the next, this verse and down another verse, verse 5. On this side, Jordan, in the wilderness. In the plain over against the Red Sea between Parham and Tophel and Laban and Hezeroth and Dezahab.

[6:04] There are 11, I'm going to read this next verse in the Amplified. It is only 11 days journey from Horeb by the way of Mount Seir to Kadesh Barnea on Canaan's border.

[6:19] Yet Israel took 40 years to get beyond it. 11 days journey took 40 years. Wow.

[6:32] And it came to pass, verse 3. And it came to pass in the 40th year, in the 11th month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all the Lord had given him in commandment unto them.

[6:48] After he had slain Sion, the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og, the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Asheroth in Eden.

[7:00] On this side of the Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying, The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount.

[7:17] Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, and in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the seaside, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

[7:40] Behold, I have set the land before you. Go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them, and to their seed after them.

[7:53] Now let's turn to Joshua chapter 1. We know that Moses died then, and Moses was not able to lead the children there.

[8:05] But when Joshua, the Lord spoke to Joshua, and just notice how much this is on the heart of God, because God had promised Abraham.

[8:16] He had promised Abraham an inheritance for his descendants, and they just, it took them very, very long time to really enter into that inheritance, and to possess it, because of their unbelief, and because of their disobedience.

[8:34] Joshua chapter 1. Now after the death of Moses, the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spake unto Joshua, the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, Moses, my servant is dead.

[8:46] Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou and all this people, unto the land which I give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your feet shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

[9:07] From the wilderness, and this Lebanon, even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea, toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

[9:23] There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee. I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of good courage, for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land which I swear unto their fathers to give them.

[9:44] Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to the law, which Moses, my servant, commanded thee. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

[10:01] And so on, we could read on there. And I guess one of the things that I really stood out to me in these passages is that God had a particular border that he had promised Israel.

[10:22] And God, he goes, he keeps going back over and telling them that this is basically the boundary of everything that I've given you.

[10:34] He tells them it's from the land to the sea, from the, go to the south and the north and all of these places. He makes very clear to them everything that he had promised Abraham.

[10:47] This is all, this all is yours to possess. This is what you are to inherit. This is what I'm giving to you. And we know if you read the, you know, first of all, it took them 40 years even to get there.

[11:05] And then when they got there, they possessed a little bit, they conquered a little bit, and then they built their cities, it says. And I don't, I don't, I didn't write all those scriptures down.

[11:17] It's a very interesting study. They built their towns and their houses, it says, and their businesses, so to speak. And they settled down there. And today, how much does Israel possess?

[11:35] I think I talked to, I don't know, James is smiling, but I think I talked to him about it, or either that or I mentioned that here. How much does Israel possess of what God promised them?

[11:46] Today, right now. Do you have any, anyone have any idea? Do you, do you have an idea, James? 15%. 15%.

[12:00] 15%. 15% of what God said, this is what I'm giving you. This is yours.

[12:12] This, I want you to inherit this. To fulfill my promise to Abraham. And today, they possess about, they, they, yeah, they have about 15%.

[12:27] And we, we know that God had a specific reason for giving them all that, you know, all of that land. If they would have all of that land, they wouldn't have near the problems with all of the enemies and stuff that are surrounding them.

[12:43] But actually possessing the land that God gave them. Because they never, they never went and possess the land, all the land that God gave them.

[12:55] I don't know, I don't know if they ever did. Maybe, I don't know. I think I had looked that up at one time, but I didn't. But that's, that's not really the point for today.

[13:07] For tonight. So, I, I just feel like probably what, as new covenant Christians, we probably possess about 15%.

[13:21] We probably actually walk in about 15% of all that God has really made available to us as his children.

[13:33] And I don't know if that does anything to you or not. Maybe you're satisfied with 15%. But to me, I just feel like if God, through the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus Christ and the outpouring of his spirit, if that God has given us such an incredible inheritance in Jesus Christ, I, I know, I know, I know it's, was God, it's God's intent.

[14:05] I know it's God's desire. For you and I to, to, to keep pressing on. Pressing on. We know that Israel, there was no way possible for them to possess the land all at one time.

[14:23] God told them, little by little, you're going to take city by city. And God had a strategy in all of that. God could have driven out everything that hindered Israel.

[14:35] He could have driven all the enemies out of Israel before they got there, but that wasn't God's plan. God wanted them to possess by dispossessing.

[14:46] And the only way for Israel to possess that land was they had to drive out what was possessing there. And I think it's the same thing for us spiritually.

[14:59] There's, we have many things in us that still need to be dispossessed so we can possess more. There's areas of unbelief.

[15:11] There's areas of doubt. There's areas of fear. There's areas of self. Self-love. Self-desire.

[15:25] There's so many things that make up who we are as people. And the good news tonight is that Jesus has made a way for everything that's standing in the way to be taken out of the way.

[15:40] That we can walk in and possess everything that God has for us to possess. So, I just thought I'd start there.

[15:51] And I want to look at just some areas now in John 14. I want to go there now. And we'll... Again, I just, I trust that the Holy Spirit can just stir our hearts tonight.

[16:15] That we have a desire for more. One thing I want to say is, in the case of Israel, Israel today, the 15% they possess is probably the most important part.

[16:39] They have Jerusalem. They have Tel Aviv. They have, you know, they have port cities and so on. And I think they possess the most important part.

[16:52] And I think we, as Christians, I think we possess what we possess. So, I want to say that before I go on. I think we possess maybe the most important part.

[17:06] That is, we, I think, I mean, I know, we believe, we have faith in the work of Jesus Christ. We have faith in the blood.

[17:17] We have faith in what the cross has accomplished for us. And we trust in Jesus. And we have received eternal life. And so on.

[17:29] So, and I think it's, I think it's very important for us to, in thinking of going on to a higher plane.

[17:42] And pressing on to more, I think it's very important for us that we continue to be grateful and thankful for what the measures that God has allowed us or that we have walked in.

[17:58] So, I don't, I don't want to at all come across that we have nothing because I know we do. And it's done in our hearts that continue to stir us to grow in the grace and in the knowledge of Jesus.

[18:16] Because we have a measure of knowledge of Jesus. And the more we know Christ, the more we grow in that knowledge, the more we desire to know him more.

[18:29] We sing that song, I want to love him more. We have a love for Jesus. And yet that love needs to be stirred up. And our hearts need to be stirred up that we just say, Lord, I love you, yet I want to love you more.

[18:45] I believe you, Lord, but I want my faith and my confidence in you to be greater than it is now. So, I want to look at...

[19:02] And I just thought I would just preach out of John 14. Tomorrow night, Lord willing, I want to preach out of John 17.

[19:14] I was just... These scriptures just so impacted me. John 14. I think I'll start in the first verse. Let not your heart be troubled.

[19:27] Ye believe in God. Believe also in me. And I want to just say, too, that it's... It's just amazing to me that in John 13...

[19:40] To Peter and to the... Jesus answered, Jesus answered, Jesus answered, Verily I say unto thee, The cock shall crow till thou hast denied me.

[20:17] The cock shall not crow till thou hast denied me thrice. But... Jesus, I think he kept right on talking. He said, But don't let your heart be troubled.

[20:29] That just means so much to me. In the context of telling Peter... And... He told them that they would all forsake him.

[20:43] In that context, he said, But don't let your heart be troubled. Just keep believing in me. Oh... My father's house or many mansions, If it were not so, I would have told you.

[20:57] I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again And receive you unto myself, That where I am, There you may be also.

[21:10] Again, I love that song. We're marching on to Zion. Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us. And Jesus wants us to be with him Forever and ever.

[21:23] And so we need to keep... We need to keep pressing on. We need to keep marching on. Whither I go ye know, And the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest.

[21:35] Then how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me.

[21:47] I'll just take a few of these verses, Most of my verses here later, A little bit later on. But... Before Jesus really tells them, Or before they had the understanding Of where he was going, And where they are to follow, He tells them that, He just says he's going away.

[22:13] He's going somewhere. And I think it's so much like us, That they wanted to know where he's going. But Jesus didn't tell them, Well, exactly where he's going.

[22:24] But he told them the way. And the way is, Jesus said, I am the way, The truth, and the life. And as we follow on with Jesus, Even in this thought of a higher plane, What does that mean?

[22:44] Where does God really want to take me In a further step, maybe, of faith? Sometimes, we don't know that. We don't, I mean, Many times we don't really know Where all this is going to lead.

[22:58] What all this is going to mean In my life, In our lives. I mean, If we, If Martha and I would have, We had no idea when we got married Where all God would lead us.

[23:13] No idea. But the way, But Jesus is the way To everywhere that he still wants to take us.

[23:23] And however, He wants to use us yet, Here on this earth. Jesus is the way to that. He is the, He is the life of that. He is the truth to that.

[23:35] And I just want to encourage us. Sometimes, We're like, We're not sure What is the next step That God has for us. But one thing we can know Is the way to the next step Is just simply through following Jesus Christ.

[23:51] We just follow on. We just continue to press on To know him and to follow him. Verse 7, If ye had known me, Ye should have known my father also.

[24:09] And from henceforth, Ye know him and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the father And it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you And yet hast thou not known me?

[24:26] Philip? He that hath seen me Hath seen the father And how sayest thou, Show us the father? I was just really touched by This aspect of knowing Jesus.

[24:46] And Jesus keeps coming back to this thing About knowing him. And I think, I'm sure all of us could say That We need a greater, We need to come to a further plane Of knowing Jesus, Of knowing his voice, Of knowing the heart of Jesus, Of knowing the father, Of knowing the father's heart.

[25:17] We've experienced his heart. We've experienced his love. We've experienced his grace. But there's measures Of who the father is And who Jesus is That I think all of us know That there's, We have so much father We could grow And we need to grow in that.

[25:38] And I believe, Churches, We are Very important is, Do we know The father?

[25:53] Do we know the heart of the father? Do we know the father's voice? Do we know Jesus' voice? Jesus said, He's the good shepherd And his sheep know Actually, Can he whisper in our ear And minister to our heart And we can know without a doubt That is the voice of Jesus.

[26:21] That is my shepherd Leading me, Directing me. And so it's very interesting to me How much Jesus talks about Knowing him Here to the disciples.

[26:33] We know that he was going away And he wasn't going to be with them And it was very important to Jesus Before he went away That the disciples really knew him And knew the father.

[26:51] Verse 10, Believest thou that I am in the father And the father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself But the father that dwelleth in me He doeth the works And it's just an amazing aspect of Jesus How that he emptied Philippians 2 talks about this How that he emptied himself Being one with the father He emptied himself To the place that he had to be Completely dependent upon the father And that's where Jesus Is trying to lead the disciples And this is again This is to me In my own life This is an area Of a further plane That I need to come to Of being Of having absolutely No confidence in myself And my own abilities And being But being totally dependent Upon the father And again

[27:54] Jesus is our example Of both the self-emptying Jesus was one with God And yet he so emptied himself That he was He became completely dependent On the father And if you read through John Jesus said this Over and over To the Jews especially About how that he does nothing Except that what he hears From the father And so on And again His unreserved surrender To the father's will Was The result of that Was that the father's Unceasing presence And gave to To Jesus As a man The power to do The work that he did And it's the same thing With us And I know This is an area That we all need To grow in He doeth the works There was works

[28:56] That Jesus Was called to do As a man On the earth And there are works That we are called to do But it needs to be That God Is doing the works Through us And That it's not just Our efforts Trying to do something For God Verse 11 Believe me That I am in the father And the father in me Or else believe me For the very works sake Verily Verily I say unto you He that believeth on me The works that I do Shall he do Also And greater works Than these Shall he do Because I go To my father Wow How do we How do we get that Is that what we're Is that what we're doing Are we doing Greater works Than Jesus Did Jesus said He that believeth

[29:57] On me The works that I do Shall he do Also And greater works Than these Shall he do Because I go unto the father One of the works That he did Was Just Again Total dependence And confidence In the father But that Through that The father Gave him the power To accomplish The great miracles That he did And I really believe Church That we need To Not just Lightly push This verse aside But we need To say Lord There's a Greater reality Of this That you are Calling us to As a people And that is To Finish the work That Jesus Began to do When he was here And even do Greater works Than he did I don't know Exactly what all That means I know we can Just We can make Excuses And we can say That

[30:57] It's a greater Volume of work Or whatever Because there's a lot More of us Or whatever And it may mean Some of that But this has This is a promise Of Jesus And this has Meaning That I believe That That God Would Bring us Into As a people To a greater Reality Of that Verse 13 Whatsoever Ye shall ask In my name That will I do And again I believe This is In the context Of doing These greater Works And That we do Them for the Glory of God That we pray For the glory Of God To see his Kingdom come His will To be done His glory Be established In the earth And when that Is our heart Whatever we ask In his name That will I do That the father May be glorified In the son Again Jesus'

[31:59] Heart was That the father Would be glorified In what he did Our heart I believe If we have The heart Of Jesus That we seek In all things That Jesus Is now glorified In what we do I believe That we can Have the faith And the confidence To know That God Will He will answer Our prayer And he will Give us What we need To do If you shall Ask anything In my name I will do it Then verse 15 If you love me Keep my commandments And I will pray The father And he shall Give you Another comforter That he may Abide with you Forever Even the spirit Of truth Whom the world Cannot receive Because it seeth Him not Neither knoweth Him There's that Knowing him Again And this is

[33:00] Now he's talking About the spirit And this really This really When This really Spoke to my heart Neither knoweth Him But ye know him For he dwelleth With you And he shall Be in you And I I want I want to ask Us tonight How How much Or how clear Do we Know the spirit's Voice Or do we Know the spirit We know that In our day In the last days There's evil Spirits And evil powers And so on That are Prophesied And we see that All around us How do we Know How can we Discern Between

[34:00] Something that's Just a thought In our own Mind that maybe Just comes from From us Just our own Thought Or that it's A thought Planted in us By some Evil Lying spirit Or That it's The voice Of the holy Spirit Do we Know the Spirit And do we Know his Voice Do we Have the Ability To be Led by the Spirit And I Would say Again I Would say That we Have a Measure of That I believe That most Of us Have a Measure of That I think We know At times That yes That is the Holy Spirit But is There a Higher Plane That we Can come To Of just With With With great Clarity In Inside of Us That we Know The spirit

[35:00] Of god And we Know his Voice And we're Able to Be led By him I I Just I just Believe That god Would Long I believe That church I believe This again This is This is Our Inheritance This is Like the Canaan land To the Children of Israel This is Part of What's Been Promised Us That the Holy Spirit Would Come And that He Would Dwell In us And that We Would Know him The world Wouldn't Know him But we Would Know him And how Many So-called Christians Hardly Know The reality Of the Person Of the Holy Spirit And maybe Just Believe He's Some You know There's Some Influence Out there Or whatever That kind Of Affects Our minds Or whatever But actually Know him As a Person And know Jesus As a Person And know The voice Of Jesus Through the

[36:01] Holy Spirit Speaking To us I I I Know for Myself I Know That's A Higher Plane That I I Want to Come to I Want to Keep Praying For A Greater Reality Of Of Knowing The voice Of the Holy Spirit How Can we Discern A Spirit Of Air Or The Spirit Of Truth If we Don't Know The Spirit Of Truth And is It Is it Any Wonder That There's So Much Deception In Our Day Because I You know To be Honest I Believe There's So Little True Reality Of Actually Being Filled With The Spirit And Knowing That Spirit In A Personal Way Living In Us And Being Led By That Spirit In Everything In Our Life And So There's

[37:03] Yeah I mean It's Just No Wonder That It's So Easy For Us He Is The Spirit Of Truth He Is The Spirit Of Truth Jesus Says Here But Ye Know Him For He Dwell With You I Don't Know Exactly What He Meant By That I Guess Maybe In The Person Of Jesus Christ And He Shall Be In You Because After Jesus Left That Holy Spirit That Was Not Only With That Was With Them Now That Holy Spirit Would Now Indwell Them And Live In Them I Will Not Leave You Comfortless I Will Come To You!

[37:56] Yet A Little How Much Of The How Much Of The Truth Of The Indwelling Presence Of Jesus In Our Life At Times In In In A Struggle In Difficulties In Trials Or Whatever That We Lose We Completely Lose The Sense Maybe

[38:56] That Jesus Is He's Still Living In Me He's Still There Jesus Wants That's That's A Truth And Jesus Wants Us To Know That He Is In The Father The Father's In Him And That Christ Is In Us He Wants To Know That And The More The More We Are Led By The Spirit The Spirit Of Truth Will Continue To Reveal That Truth To Us I In You Paul Said In Colossians Christ In You The Hope Of Glory That's The Hope That We Have Is That Christ Actually Literally Lives In Us And Dwells In Us He

[39:57] That Hath My Commandments And Keep With Them He It Is That Loveth Me And He That Loveth Me Shall Be Loved Of My Father And I Will Love Him And Will Manifest Myself To Him I Want To Read That In The Amplified The Person Who Has My Commands And Keeps Them Has And Keeps Not Just Has Had At One Time But Has And Keeps Is The One Who Really Loves Me And Whoever Really Loves Me Will Be Loved Of My Father And I Too Will Love Him And Will Show Reveal Manifest Myself To Him I Will Let Myself Be Clearly Seen That's That's The Greek

[40:58] Thought There Of Manifesting I Will Let Myself Be Clearly Seen By Him And Make Myself Real To Him Wow That That Is So Powerful Church That Is So That Is What Jesus Desires That's How Real Jesus Desires To Be In Our Lives That He Will Let Himself Be Clearly Seen And He Will Make Himself Real To Us Again When I Read That I Just Say A Higher Plane Than I Have Found Lord Plant My Feet On Higher Ground That's Just That Is Such A That Is Such A Beautiful Beautiful Verse There That If We Meet The Conditions This Is The Heart Of The Father

[41:58] And The Heart Of Jesus To Us Personally He Wants To Manifest And Make Himself So Real To Our Lives And Wow How We Need That In Our Lives Judah Say To Him Not Iscariot Lord How Is It That Thou Will Manifest Thyself Unto Us And Not Unto The World Jesus Answered And Said Unto Him If A Man Love Me He Will Keep My Words And My Father Will Love Him And We Will Come And Make Our Abode With Him Again Just The Desire There Of The Father And The Son The Eternal Godhead Father Son And Holy Ghost To To Come And Make Our Lives Their Home Their Dwelling Place They Dwell Within Us Personally And Then How Much More So Even In The Church Of Jesus Christ That They Their Presence

[42:59] Is Here They're Clearly Seen Here They're Known Here He That Loveth Me Not Keepeth Not My Sayings And I Guess We Could Say Too That This Whole Aspect Of Growing In Love I Think All Of Us Know That We Have We Can Go So Much Further In That Come To A Higher Ground In Our Love For Jesus Christ Our Love For The Father The Commandment Is That We Love Him With All Of Our Heart With All Of Our Soul With All Of Our Strength With All Of Our Might With Everything In Our Being We Love God And Love Jesus And When That Love Is There Jesus The Presence Of Jesus

[44:00] And The Father And The Holy Spirit Come And He Makes Himself Known There These Things Have I Spoken Unto You Being Yet Present With You But The Comforter Which Is The Holy Ghost Whom The Father Will Send In My Name He Shall Teach You All Things And Bring All Things To Your Remembrance Whatsoever I Said Unto You So We Have Again How Do We How Do We Get There I Think It's By Receiving The Holy Spirit The Comforter This Personal Comforter Helper Strengthener Strengthener There's Many Words We Could Use To Describe This The Holy Spirit Here This Comforter That We Personally Know His Voice

[45:00] And Are Led By Him And Then In A Do We In A Deep And A Sure Personal Way Know The Person Of Jesus Christ Are We Loving And Obeying Him In A Way That We Are Progressively Growing In Our Knowledge And Recognition Of Him The More We Love The More We Obey The More Faith We Have The More We Will Continue To Grow In Our In Our Knowledge And Recognizing Him The Word Knowing There That James Read That Word In The Greek It's The Intimate Knowing Like A Man And A Wife Know Each Other If You Look That Word Up And It's Not Just A Head Knowledge It's A Heart Knowledge It's An Intimate Knowledge Of The Person Of Jesus One Thing That I Just See Now In My Notes That I Had It Was I Was In

[46:00] Thinking Of Knowing The Holy Spirit It's Amazing Reading Through Acts And How Many Times Paul Said The Holy Spirit Spake And I Just Thought Don't Go Here Don't Do This Or Go Here And I Was Like Wow How Many Times Has The Holy Spirit Tried To Speak To Us And We Never Recognized His Voice And Said Maybe Said Don't I Mean Paul Was Going To Go Somewhere In Ministry In The Holy Spirit And He Knew The Voice Of The Holy Spirit And That Just And There's There's Quite A Few Different Scriptures There That We Could Look At Or A Few At Least That Talk About How The Early Church Had This Intimate Knowledge Of The Spirit's Leading And They

[47:00] Knew The Voice Of The Spirit And They They They Obeyed That Voice Okay Loving And Obeying Jesus Is A Condition For Knowing The Eternal God Head In Intimate Fellowship And Communion And Friendship Again The Condition Of That Is Loving And Obeying Jesus So How Do We Again How Do We Come To A Further Reality In This And Loving And Obeying And Knowing In Our Faith That It All Becomes A Lot More Real And More Personal I Believe Without A Doubt It Is By Being Filled With The Spirit And Allowing The Holy Spirit To Direct Us Seeing Our Need That We Can Do Nothing Of Ourself That We Need The Holy Spirit And

[48:01] Allow The Spirit To Guide Us So I Think That's All I Have I Do Want Us To Stand And Sing That Song Just As A Prayer And I I Just Ask Us Let's Respond I Just Trust This Is Our Heart Tonight There's No Like James Said Why Do We Get Together And Have These Meetings Go Ahead Stand Them Chairs Are Hard So You Can Go Ahead!

[49:42] Though some may dwell where these abound I bear my aim in its higher ground Lord, lift me up and let me stand My faith on heaven's table and A higher plane than I have found Lord, plant my feet on higher ground I want to live above the world Though Satan's dark and we are heard For faith has caught the joyful sound The song of saints on higher ground

[50:47] Lord, lift me up and let me stand My faith on heaven's table and Higher plane than I have found Lord, plant my feet on higher ground I want to scale the utmost high And catch a gleam of glory high But still I'll pray till then I have found Lord, lift me up and let me stand Lord, lift me up and let me stand My faith on heaven's table and Lord, lift me up and let me stand My faith on heaven's table and

[51:52] A higher plane than I have found Lord, plant my feet on higher ground Why don't we just pray yet Why don't we all pray in closing here And just ask the Lord to In the areas that he spoke to you in That you would just bring you to A higher plane, a higher ground Thank God there's a higher ground Than we're walking on today We haven't reached the top We're still in the way And there's more to gain There's too much to gain to lose Like that one song says So let's just pray and ask God To just take us on as his people To a further reality of knowing him

[52:54] Of obeying him, hearing his voice Whatever all God has spoken to you Just open your heart to the Lord In response to him tonight Amen Father, in the name of Jesus Lord, just come to you Father Lord, I just pray that in my own life Lord Father, you would just bring me To a further place, Lord Father Just know there's so far to go, Lord There's so much, Lord There's so much, Father Lord I just know that there's so much, Lord Father I just pray, God You would just move in every part of you Father Lord Father Move our hearts, Lord Father Help us to lay aside the things that hinder us And the things that The sins that beset us, Father And just take another step, Lord And faith be you tonight, Lord Hallelujah Lord, I pray that God
