[0:00] The question this morning is, are all the answers in the Bible?! Are all the answers in the Bible?

[0:14] Is there an exact verse for every detail or every detailed issue that we face in life?

[0:38] Is there a verse you can turn to? I know some of you are thinking of moving to Montana. What verse are you using for that?

[0:52] I guess that makes my point. So is everything spelled out? We can just read it and say, yep, that's the Lord's will.

[1:03] In detail. I think you know the answer, but it's not that easy. It takes a little bit more of seeking for the Lord's will.

[1:14] The verse on the board is, Through thy precepts I get understanding, therefore I hate any false words. And then thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

[1:27] So it is in the word of God. But it's not always that easy. Or very easy. And so I feel inadequate this morning to talk about it.

[1:45] And see where the Lord states that too. But it is a burden that I have this morning. And so I hope that we can get at least that. To get the Lord from the Lord.

[1:58] Just a few verses here that I want to read it again. Hebrews 4.12 says, For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any steeled sword, pitched into the division of soul and spirit, of joint and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

[2:20] Jesus said in that, It is written, A man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

[2:35] 2 Timothy, And I know it's later too. But it says, All scriptures do doubt by God. This is a bit of a translation. I like this because it says, All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for saving in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

[3:06] Through my precepts, I get understanding.

[3:18] That's the title. That's God's prayer.

[3:31] How about every detail in our life? How do we find answers for the course of that we are making? How do we know that's there? Do we ever wish that we could just, we could, spelled out for us?

[3:49] I know sometimes I do. In trying to find an answer for something in a situation where, what we should do next.

[4:00] Sometimes I find myself wishing I just, God just drop a note. Just drop a piece of paper I can read it on. And then that's what I'll do.

[4:12] Wouldn't that be simple? Am I the only one that ever thinks those thoughts? Lord, just tell me what to do.

[4:27] Is there a purpose? Is there a reason that He doesn't? Is the Word of God not sufficient for our day?

[4:39] I believe this morning, if I can make anything clear to us here, it is that the opposite is true.

[4:50] That the Word of God is sufficient in our day. The Scripture is more than sufficient for us to know the heart of God in every issue we face.

[5:02] Now, I may be contradicting a little bit. Like I just kind of discovered that every issue we face, we don't have an exact birth to go to. But the Word of God is sufficient in everything that we face.

[5:19] While the New Testament addresses many specific issues, it is not written as a book of laws of do's and don'ts.

[5:34] I'm talking about the New Testament. It is different than the laws of the old covenant that the children of Israel received through Moses.

[5:45] The New Covenant is relational. The relationship with God often. The Old Testament was a law that was to be strictly followed and obeyed with or without a relationship with God.

[6:11] I mean, it doesn't say a whole lot in the Old Testament, you know, in the law at least, about the children of Israel. Yes, he was their God and so on, but they were supposed to just obey and follow his laws.

[6:28] And he gave them in great detail. Later, people tried to, the Pharisees added to it and they kept adding to it and making even more laws because they wanted to be sure and be right.

[6:43] But there was no real relationship. Jesus hadn't come. And there was no real relationship with most of the people.

[6:55] I wouldn't say that about all the people. There are a lot that I believe actually had the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. And we'll look at some of that.

[7:06] But God wants a relationship, a whole heart that is turned toward him. How is our heart this morning?

[7:18] I'm going to ask some of those questions. But how is our heart? Is it turned toward him? Are you one of those that want to love God? My God. Now, here's another burden of the message.

[7:32] I believe that we are in a day that the enemy of our soul is trying to separate the Lord Jesus Christ from his word.

[7:47] Do any of you ever think about that? Is that something that is real to you? Do you see that? Do you see that? That in our day, there are people that want to worship Jesus, but they don't want the Bible.

[8:06] They don't. And that's really maybe the burden of my message. The main burden, perhaps. Is that in God, God's heart is, God's way is that you can't separate that.

[8:21] And it's proven through his word. That is a false teaching. That is extremely dangerous.

[8:32] I don't believe that we can have a relationship with God if we intentionally reject the word of God. And I say intentionally.

[8:44] If we intentionally say, I will not do that. It's clear in scripture, but I'll walk away from it. Don't tell me about that. Don't tell me about that. But I work with Jesus.

[8:56] And that's happening all around us. So that is, I would say, the burden of my message this morning.

[9:07] At least one of them. And I just want to say this. I know we have you all here from Michigan. Michigan. And. And. It was at March that we were in there and just.

[9:20] I just want to encourage you that. The heart that. We sense there and the way that you all. You all. Open your heart to the word of God.

[9:31] To the word of God. And to his truth. And to see how God came to your lives. Is amazing. And it's very, very encouraging. And I just want to.

[9:42] Encourage you in that. That. Keep that heart. That's really the answer to life. Is to keep that heart that. Says yes, Lord.

[9:54] To your will. To your way. To your way. And. Like we heard this morning too. From Laverne. The whole thing about worry. You know. If we have that heart that's open to the Lord.

[10:07] And say, Lord, I'm just. Like he said. I'm. Surrendered to your will. Then. You'll take care of the worry. You don't need to worry. But to trust in his word.

[10:20] So the new covenant is relational. It's not. About a law. I believe that God.

[10:36] God. Desires from us. And I might say this a few times. But. He desires from us. To have a relationship. With him. As our Lord.

[10:53] He wants us to seek him. His people. God's people. To seek after him. With their whole heart. Not just to try to follow the Bible. As a book of laws.

[11:05] But to seek Jesus. For understanding. And for his will. And his purpose. For our lives. There is no relationship needed. To follow laws.

[11:17] Just obey them. To obey them. To obey them. Right? You don't need a relationship. For that. It's just expected.

[11:28] That you follow them. Many of us grew up that way. We had no relationship. With God. It was just. The Bible says it. You gotta do it. And identify with that.

[11:41] And it's a book of laws. To us. If we're not careful. I read a.

[11:54] Article yesterday. I just wrote this. In here. I can't remember exactly. How he said this. But he made a statement.

[12:07] About that he'd rather be in a church. For 10 years. This is. I couldn't remember this morning.

[12:18] Exactly how I read it. But something about. He'd rather be in a church. For 10 years. That has. The life of God. And seeks. After God. Than a church.

[12:29] That is just an organization. Without a need. For seeking the Lord. That lasts. For 10 generations. 10 years. 10 generations. He said.

[12:41] He'd rather be in a church. That lasts. Only 10 years. That actually seeks. The Lord. With all their heart. Now I know.

[12:53] That might sound. Like we don't care about. Our church. For how long it lasts. But I hope. It lasts. As long as God is here. As long as God is here. I would agree.

[13:10] With that statement. Because I want to be. Where there is. The life of God. Where it can flow. Where it can change us. From glory to glory. And I would to God.

[13:23] That it remains. For generations. But that's not up to me. What do you mean? Like.

[13:34] Our brother shared this morning. God showed himself. There's life. There's. God showed him. That he worries too much. And wants to change that in you. Right? That's what we're talking about.

[13:47] Where God. Changes. People. Their lives. Their lives. Let's turn to. Second Timothy.

[13:58] Chapter. Three. I want to read some of that.

[14:09] It's. Kind of one of those chapters that. Isn't the prettiest picture. But it's necessary to read it.

[14:21] Chapter three. Verse one of second Timothy. This. Know also that in the. In the last days. In the last days. Perilous times shall come. For men shall be. Lovers of their own selves.

[14:32] Covetous. Boasters. Proud. Blasphemers. Disobedient to parents. Unthankful. Unholy. Without natural affection. Truth breakers. False accusers.

[14:44] Incontinent. Fierce. Despisers of those that are good. Traitors. Heeding. High minded. Lovers of pleasures. More than lovers of God.

[14:57] We see that a lot today. Don't we? Having a form of godliness. But denying the power thereof. From such. Turn away. Many people have a form of godliness.

[15:11] They. You know. Act godly. On the outside at least. Right? We do things. We. We say right things. We go to church.

[15:22] But. We can do all those things. And deny the power of god. Even in our own life. For we don't allow god. To really work. You're not. Or change us.

[15:34] For of this sort. Are they which creep into houses. And leave captive silly women. Laden with. Sins. Led away with divers lusts. Ever learning. And never coming.

[15:45] Never able to come. To the knowledge of the truth. I think we'll skip down here a little bit. To verse 11.

[16:00] Persecutions. No. Verse 10. Amen. But thou has fully. Known my doctrine. Manner of life. Purpose. Faith. Longsuffering.

[16:11] Charity. Patience. Persecutions. Afflictions. Which came unto me at Antioch. At Iconium. At Lystra. What persecutions I endured. But out of them all.

[16:23] The Lord delivered me. Yea. And all that live godly. In Christ. Jesus. Shall suffer. Persecution. I'd like to just.

[16:35] Mention that verse. Here. I believe Paul. Writing this. To Timothy. But. It doesn't say that if you love Jesus. You will face persecution.

[16:46] Although you will. If you truly love him. But it says this verse. If you live godly. If you. Live a godly lifestyle.

[16:58] If you. Stand for truth. If you stand against evil. You'll be persecuted. Because you're living a godly lifestyle. May all that live godly.

[17:13] In Christ. Jesus. But evil men and seducers. Shall wax worse and worse. Deceiving and being deceived. But continue thou. In the things. Which thou has.

[17:24] Learned. And has been assured of. Knowing of whom. Thou has learned them. And that from a child. Thou has known. The holy scriptures. Which are able. To make thee wise.

[17:35] And to salvation. Through faith. Which is. In Christ Jesus. When I read that. This morning. Thought of. You that came from. A background where. You know.

[17:47] You might not be able. To say this. Because. If you didn't. Weren't allowed to have a bible. That you could understand. How could you know. The holy scripture. Not sure.

[17:58] I'm sure there were many things. Taught. Many principles. In spite of that. But. Timothy. Here at least. Had known. And been taught. The holy scriptures.

[18:09] From his childhood. And thank God. That you can teach those. To your. Those precepts. Those things of God. The holy scriptures.

[18:23] Which are able. To make thee wise. And to salvation. Through faith. In Christ Jesus. All scripture. Here's the verse. Is given by inspiration.

[18:34] Of God. And is profitable. For doctrine. For reproof. For correction. For instruction. In righteousness. I don't like.

[18:50] Using my computer. For this. In the amended. Work. It's hard. For me. To. Follow. Some of these things. For.

[19:02] I have it bigger. So I can read it better. And then he goes on. That the man of God. May be perfect. Thoroughly furnished. Unto all good works. And then again.

[19:13] In chapter four. He goes on. He says. I charge thee therefore. Before God. And the Lord Jesus Christ. Who shall judge. The quick and the dead.

[19:24] Of his appearing. And in his kingdom. Preach the word. The instant in season. Out of season. Reprove. Rebuke. Exhort. With all long suffering. And doctrine. For the time will come.

[19:38] When they will not endure. Sound doctrine. But after their own lusts. Shall they heap. To themselves. Teachers. Having itching ears. And they.

[19:49] And they shall turn away. Their ears. From the truth. And shall be turned. Unto fables. Or things that are not true. You know.

[20:03] We see that a lot too. In our day. Don't we. Where. People don't want to hear. The real truth. Sometimes the hard truth. The things that.

[20:14] Convict us. The things that. Change our life. If we're open to them. But. People love themselves. More than they love God. And so. They. Keep under themselves. There's plenty of people.

[20:25] That. Will tickle your ears. And make you feel good. Every Sunday. And so. They. Keep under themselves. There's plenty of people. That. Will tickle your ears. And make you feel good.

[20:36] Every Sunday. And during the week. If you do that too much here. You should just tell us. But.

[20:47] I don't think that's the heart here. The heart here is. To let God. Work in our hearts. Right? To change us. From glory to glory. But Paul is warning.

[20:58] That that's. Coming. Two thousand years ago. Years ago. It has come and went. And it's just. No. It's still here.

[21:09] Tickling views. For preachers are afraid. To preach the truth. For brothers are afraid. To share with brothers. The truth. And. I'd like to look at.

[21:22] A little bit of the Old Testament. In. Psalm. Let's turn there. If we could. Psalm 119. I'd love to read the whole chapter.

[21:33] But I know it's. A long one. So we won't. But. We'll at least look at some of it. Longest chapter in the Bible. Right?

[21:44] Mm. Mm. But to look at some of the things. That David said. David and whoever else was writing with him. Some of the things that.

[21:56] Are spoken here. About the word of God. Before we start. I'd like to just. Look at. What is the word preset? What is a preset?

[22:07] I looked it up in the Webster. It's a general sense. In general. A sense. Of any commandment. Or order. Intended. As. An authoritative.

[22:18] Rule. Of action. But applied. Particularly. To commands. Respecting. Moral conduct. The Ten Commandments. For example.

[22:29] Are so many. Precepts. For regulation. Of our moral conduct. Next one is. In law. A command. Or a mandate. In writing.

[22:41] We might say that. Precepts. Are God's. Moral law. For us. So this is what. When we read that word here. That David wrote.

[22:53] Psalm 119. We will start here in a minute. Um. Well just a couple of verses that are.

[23:04] On the board I believe. Yes. 104. 105. 103. It says. How sweet. Are thy words. Unto my taste. Sweeter than honey.

[23:15] Through my mouth. Through thy precepts. I get. Understanding. Therefore. I hate. Every. False way. Thy word is a lamp.

[23:30] Unto my feet. And a light. Unto my path. That is a very. That is a very. Beautiful way. Saying. I want to know. Your will. I want to know. Where to walk.

[23:41] I want to know. Where I should walk. Maybe it's not. Where everybody else walks. But. I need. Your direction. Lord. And your word. Will be a lamp.

[23:53] Unto my feet. So I can see where I'm going. And a light. Unto my path. The writer here is saying.

[24:10] Through God's precepts. He gets under. He gets to understand. God's heart. By meditating on God's laws. We too can get an understanding.

[24:21] For any situation. That we are faced with today. Even here today. In 2025. 20, 25. Sometimes we ask. Too many questions.

[24:32] Concerning God's will. Rather. Than seeking him. Rather than going to the one. That has the answer. Rather than considering God's heart.

[24:46] And his will. Through his word. We ask questions. Sometimes we ask the wrong questions. Therefore. There is no. Answer. Answer given.

[24:59] We must ask. Ask the right questions. If we are seeking. For a true answer. I'll give you one example. There's many.

[25:10] But. One example might be. What is good. Or right. About something. Rather than always ask. What is wrong with it. If we truly want understanding.

[25:25] We must have a hungry heart. Like David did. We must have a hungry heart. Like David did. He didn't just love God. Like. Many.

[25:37] Or maybe even the majority of. Christians say they love God. He loved God. By studying. God. And meditating on his precepts.

[25:48] On what. Matters to God. What matters to God. What matters to God. That's how David learned. God. And that's how he got his answers. Verse one.

[26:02] One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One.

[26:13] One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One.

[26:24] One. One. commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently, O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes, then shall I not be ashamed.

[26:38] Maybe we could add, then I won't worry. But then shall I not be ashamed when I have respect unto all thy commandments. As we read this, think about the church in America.

[26:57] If this fits, then shall I not be ashamed when I have respect unto all thy commandments. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

[27:13] I will keep thy statutes. O forsake me not utterly. For withal shall a young man cleanse his way. Here's a question.

[27:25] How does a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word. Then he says, With my whole heart have I sought thee.

[27:38] O let me not wonder from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against thee. O that we could say those words.

[27:53] That we have hid his words in our hearts. The seriousness of sinning against God.

[28:05] Think of Joseph. I believe he had the word of God hidden in his heart. He knew what to do. Blessed art thou, O Lord, teach me thy statutes.

[28:19] With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies as much as in all riches. I will meditate in thy precepts and have respect unto thy ways.

[28:39] Let us know the note. So much respect for God's word has been lost. How do you and I see God's word?

[28:52] Is there a respect or reverence? The Bible talks about trembling at his word. trembling at his word. Like our heart trembling. Maybe we're not physically shaking.

[29:04] But our heart is just in awe of him. We'll read on a little bit further. I will delight myself in thy statutes. I will not forget thy word.

[29:16] Deal boundlessly with thy servant that I may live and keep thy word. Open thou mine eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. I am a stranger in the earth.

[29:28] Hide not thy commandments from me. That's an interesting statement. I'm a stranger in the earth. Coming from this writer.

[29:40] My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times. My friends, when's the last time we could say our soul breaketh for the longing for the judgments of God?

[30:01] Do we take it that serious? Do we long to know God to this age? Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

[30:14] I think we'll skip down a little ways.

[30:29] Verse 28. My soul melteth for heaviness. Strengthen thou me according to thy word. Remove from me the way of lying and grant me thy law graciously.

[30:44] Remove from me the way of lying. Do we sometimes lie without words? What about when we pretend to be something but not?

[31:02] Is that lying? But again, we can come to God and say, Lord, remove that from me. Heal me from that. Deliver me from that. I have chosen the way of truth.

[31:13] Thy judgments have I laid before me. I have stuck unto thy testimonies, O Lord. Put me not to shame. I will run the way of thy commandments when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

[31:30] Wow, what a prayer. We need an enlarged heart, a bigger heart. Teach me, O Lord, commit verse 33.

[31:41] Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes, and I will keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law. Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

[31:54] Is there any wonder that God said, David is a man after my own heart? verse 37.

[32:08] Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity, and quicken thou me in the way. Establish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear. Devoted to thy fear.

[32:21] Turn away my reproach, which I fear, for thy judgments are good. Behold, I have longed after thy precept. Quicken me in thy righteousness.

[32:33] In other words, make me alive in thy righteousness. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation according to thy word.

[32:45] So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me, for I trust in thy word. I don't worry what I'm going to say, but I trust in thy word.

[33:06] Verse 45. And I will walk at liberty, for I seek thy precepts. I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings and will not be ashamed.

[33:18] And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. That verse 45 there, where it says that I will walk at liberty.

[33:29] Don't we want that? To be able to walk in liberty, freedom, freedom from ourselves. That's all found as our heart is turned for God.

[33:43] And yes, God said that David was a man after his own heart. He was an Old Testament man that lived under the law, so to speak.

[33:58] But God through his Holy Spirit was in the heart of David. I believe that. His writings are filled with a love relationship with God.

[34:12] I don't claim to understand how, you know, how it was in the Old Testament, but it's so obvious. So, the love that he had, the clarity that he had, the clear understanding that it's the Word of God that I'm concerned about.

[34:30] There's no question. There's no room for questioning whether or not the Word of God is true and real and powerful and that that is what he needs.

[34:42] I believe that God wants and desires that for each one of us. Not that we walk through this and study the Bible as a book of laws, but a relationship, a love relationship with our Savior and that we want him and we want to please him.

[35:04] That's simple. We want to please him with all our heart. One man used to say, we want to make God happy. And that doesn't make him happy or that doesn't.

[35:24] He wants a relationship so badly with us that he came and died for us. He became one of us in that he became human and then he died for us and rose again and the Bible says he's interceding for us.

[35:44] That's how much he wants a relationship with us. He prays for us that we can make it, that we can be strong. Do we get a hold of that?

[35:55] Do we understand that? It's only reasonable, Paul says, that we should be a living sacrifice unto him.

[36:06] Romans there. It says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice fully acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

[36:21] And do not conform to this world, but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

[36:36] we're supposed to know the will of God. We prove it. We prove it how? Isn't it by surrender?

[36:48] By saying, I'm a living sacrifice to you, Lord, coming to him in total surrender? Being willing to allow God to change me, to use me, however he chooses.

[37:03] That's how we prove his will. I believe that God is very much a God of order.

[37:14] And I was actually looking at the message that I preached maybe four or five years ago about the order of God. And I was so inspired by some of the scriptures.

[37:26] Again, I almost preach that today. So God is a God of order. But he's a God of relationship. the God of love.

[37:39] And so many people, both Christians, miss it. Go through life with no real connection with the Lord.

[37:52] Let's look at a couple verses here in Hebrews next. Hebrews 8, verse 9.

[38:11] The Hebrew writer says, not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand, and this is God speaking, when I took them by the hand and led them out of the land of Egypt.

[38:29] Here we see that the clear difference, the distinction from the old covenant to the new. In the old, he took them by the hand, he led them out of bondage, out of Egypt.

[38:43] And he's saying, not like this, because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord.

[38:58] He's speaking after, or in the days of Christ when Jesus came. This is how God's heart is for his people.

[39:09] I will put my laws into their mind and write them into their hearts. And I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people.

[39:21] A people that he has a relationship with. A people that he can speak to through his Holy Spirit, through his word. And how sad it is that so many that call themselves Christian or, yeah, Christ followers, you see that they want to serve God.

[39:46] they don't want to go to hell. They want to live for Jesus and they want to even say those things. But you have to question, is the law of God in their mind?

[40:01] Is it in their heart? That's what he says. Are God's precepts established in their heart? Maybe you don't have an answer or a verse for everything that we face, but there's deep things that are written in your heart that you don't want to go against.

[40:20] Why? Isn't it because he's putting them there? He's speaking them to us just like he did for David.

[40:32] And when that happens, he will be their God and they will be to me a people. those precepts, those things that are dear to the heart of God.

[40:47] In chapter 10, also of Hebrews, he adds, he says almost the same exact thing, but then he adds that he will remember our sins no more.

[41:00] He so wants that relationship that when people turn to him, he not only forgives us, he forgets everything he does. He forgets our sins, he can't remember.

[41:15] What a freedom, what a blessing to know that. He so desires that relational, I wrote down relational obedience, not just obedience, but because there's a love connection there.

[41:41] you know, as a father, I just now thought of this, but as us as fathers, there's something about, we like when our children obey us.

[41:53] It's really handy, for one thing. If we ask for a favor, take out the garbage, do something, whatever. But it's really, really meaningful, especially when they're older, when they voluntarily obey this, or do something, like, take the garbage Saturdays without being pulled, to the dump.

[42:19] And there's a love there, right? It's more than just obeying the rule. It means so much more when there's a relationship.

[42:31] And I believe that's God's heart for us. No, God, I love you. I want to do this for you. I want to obey you. It's for my good, but it's because I love you.

[42:52] How do we know his will in all that we face? By considering the precepts, or you could say the principles, maybe you understand that word better, the principles of the word of God.

[43:06] Sometimes we don't know exactly how to respond, or what to do. Sometimes we don't know what to do about a neighbor. You know, we have a feeling about some things sometimes.

[43:20] Maybe we want to get even or just show him how far off he is, he or she. It may be a very complicated situation, and you are 100% right, and he or she is 100% wrong.

[43:37] But then you remember if we have the principle of God, the precepts of God in our hearts, his laws written in our hearts and in our minds, we remember that we're supposed to love him like himself before we act, our hearts.

[44:03] If it's just on paper or in the Bible as a letter, a law, we might forget that it's there.

[44:14] But if it's written in our hearts, we'll never forget it. And that's how shall a young man cleanse his way, by remembering the word of God or by having it in his heart.

[44:32] What if somebody cheats us in business or even just personally? Maybe you're mistreated some way, even just by what somebody says.

[44:47] You want to respond a certain way, but then we remember something God wrote in our heart. Something pops into our mind.

[44:58] I can't say that. These are just a couple examples of God's laws being written in our hearts.

[45:11] God's ways are not our ways. Have you ever wanted to do something, really, really fix a problem with somebody else and just in time, you remembered that God just spoke something, you can't do that.

[45:32] How is your relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you see Jesus separate from his word? Or do you see Jesus through his word?

[45:45] What? Are you surrendered to the Holy Scriptures to follow them through a relationship with the Lord Jesus?

[45:58] Does our surrender to Jesus go deep enough that we're also surrendered to his word? These are just thoughts that I've been having that I believe God wants to say.

[46:16] Not as a law. It was not intended for that. It is by grace through faith that we are even Christians in the first place.

[46:30] By his Spirit. May the Spirit of God guide us. May he fall on us and guide us into all truth.

[46:43] That's why the Spirit, I think his primary purpose is to guide us into truth. To make us more like Jesus. To testify to us of Jesus.

[46:57] The heart of Jesus. That's the Holy Spirit. Sometimes repentance from where we have been walking is required to come into a deeper relationship with God.

[47:15] Do we need to repent? I sense a need in my life in this whole thing. To take the word of God more seriously.

[47:28] Is there anyone that has become careless to the principles of God's word? You know it's there, but, well, the Bible's not a law, so I don't have to do it.

[47:41] Right? That's how much you love God. Right? Have you cared way too little about what God thinks?

[47:54] And, maybe way too much what you think. And today, God will forgive us if we seek Him. And we stand together.

[48:08] Do you personally believe that the Bible, the word of God, is sufficient to guide us in all truth?

[48:30] Do we corporately, as a church body, believe that the Bible is sufficient, the word of God? Is it the authority? Do we tremble?

[48:42] Do we, does our heart say, yes, Lord? Or do we question it? There's so many areas, and I know I didn't branch out into a lot of, your mind can go to different areas.

[48:55] That's what God wants to do. That's for Him to speak to us. But maybe there's an area in your life that you've actually been rejecting the word of God. claiming all the while that you love Jesus.

[49:09] But, there's maybe an area that, no, I won't follow through with it. It's too hard. That's how much you love Jesus.

[49:21] And is that fair? When you say that in our hearts, that, no, I want to follow the word of God. I want that heart that David had. Let's pray together.

[49:31] Father, we just come to you this morning. God, we just acknowledge that you are true. Let God be true in every man alive.

[49:43] Because, we're so small and insignificant compared to you, Lord Jesus. And yet, you call us your sons and your daughters.

[49:53] You want a relationship with us. Father, if we have, maybe as a church body or even just individually, tried to, or bought into the lie of separating Jesus Christ and his word, Lord, I pray that you'd forgive us in that.

[50:15] Father, help us to study and to seek your word and to be in your word daily and to, to, to worship you as we study your word.

[50:29] to ask you to show us by your precepts. There's such a freedom in that. Such a freedom of just surrendering through that. And help us to never say we surrender to Jesus but we reject his word.

[50:45] Because your word tells us someplace that, that your word is exalted above your name even. that's beyond our, my understanding.

[50:57] But you yourself lift up your word. You said your word will never, will never fall, never fail. But that it will stand forever through all eternity.

[51:09] So Lord, I pray that we would take your word seriously. Father, speak to us at this time. Speak to our hearts. maybe help us to set a new course, make new commitments, have a different attitude towards your word and everything that you want to speak to us.

[51:32] We give ourselves to you. We desire to do that living sacrifice which is only a reasonable service because you sacrificed yourself for us.

[51:44] We thank you and love you. In Jesus' name.
