[0:00] I greet you in Jesus' name this morning. It has been good to be here thus far. And I appreciate the song service and the devotional.
[0:21] And a couple of these verses are actually in my message today, and I'll just point them out. While we still have this on our mind, it says here in verse 21, James chapter 1, And receive with meekness the engrafted word which is able to save your souls.
[0:49] But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving your own selves. He says to receive with meekness the word.
[1:01] And when we hear the word, he says to be doers of the word and not hearers only. And if we only hear the word and we do not yield to it, it ends up bringing a deception into our life.
[1:23] So he warns us of that. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father but by me.
[1:37] Jesus is the only way. He's the only name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.
[1:48] Today, I want to look at a couple things. We will start in Matthew chapter 7.
[2:01] And then we'll, I want to look somewhat at fruit, you know. We'll know the fruit of the Spirit.
[2:12] And how will that be manifest in your life? And how do you know if the people that you are listening to, the people you are fellowshipping with, how do you know that they are children of God?
[2:31] And, you know, I think those verses in James, you know, we want to take them personally, but they also apply to those around about us.
[2:44] Jesus wants us to be fruitful. In John 15, he talks about abiding in him. And if we bear much fruit, it brings glory to the Father.
[3:01] And that should be the goal of our life, is to bring honor and glory to the Father. In Colossians, he said that, ye might walk worthy of the Lord.
[3:14] And we will, but we have a little different slant here to start with.
[3:27] We'll start in Matthew chapter 7, and we'll start in verse 13. And, you know, I've heard this many times that, you know, one or two verses picked out and the rest of it is left.
[3:50] But I believe this all is connected together. And for that reason, I think I want to read from verse 13 through 27.
[4:04] Jesus speaking here, and he says, Enter ye in at the straight gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.
[4:20] Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep's clothing.
[4:35] But inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit.
[4:50] But a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit. Neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[5:03] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.
[5:19] But he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
[5:31] And in thy name have cast out devils. And in thy name done many wonderful works. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you.
[5:42] Depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man which built his house upon a rock.
[5:56] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew. And beat upon that house, and it fell not. For it was founded upon a rock.
[6:07] And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man which built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell.
[6:25] Lord, we commit this time to you, and I pray, Lord, that your spirit will just speak to us, Lord.
[6:41] Lord, the word that you have for us, Lord, that your name will be honored and glorified. Lord, we commit this time to you, we pray in Jesus' name.
[6:53] Amen. Amen. Notice verse 24, as I was reading this. It connects directly to the verses in James that we had this morning.
[7:08] If a man, whosoever heareth us into that person that the Lord would have us to be. Now let's go back, and let's start here in verse 13, 14.
[7:22] He says, Straight is the gate. Straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
[7:35] It is only through Jesus that we enter this way, that we enter the kingdom of God. And in John chapter 3, Jesus said, You must be born again if you will even see the kingdom of God.
[7:54] There's no way to enter this kingdom unless we're born of the Spirit. That which is born of the Spirit is Spirit, and that which is born of the flesh is flesh.
[8:06] And the only way into this kingdom is through Jesus and His shed blood. The straight and the narrow way is a way to life.
[8:22] But there's another way. And He warns us of it. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction.
[8:34] And many go in thereat. Now, you know, I used to think that this broad way, that, you know, that must be, you know, the people out there that do not profess to be Christians.
[8:50] I believe, I believe the broad way. I believe the world out there is, they're on the fringes.
[9:01] The broad way that Jesus is talking about, I believe, is professing Christendom. People that have made an easier way.
[9:12] People that have, that say that you can enter the kingdom of God by just living a good life. People that say that you can, you can be a Christian and you can please God and you can go to heaven just by, just by good works and, and, and living a life that looks okay to humanity.
[9:36] But it is only as we're born again that we enter in to walk this straight and narrow way. And immediately after this, these couple verses, he warns us of false prophets.
[9:53] And it is those false prophets that, that Satan sends to trip you and to snare you and to, to try to deviate you off away from this narrow way.
[10:05] It is those false prophets that come and, and they have good sounding words and they have, have, they, they might even speak truth.
[10:18] They might quote scripture. They might read scripture. But there's poison somewhere in their message. Their life does not match up to this word.
[10:29] And, you know, we will, we're so often tempted to overlook things. We're so often, you know, we want to make room for others, for, for people that are not living according to the word of God.
[10:47] But Jesus said, he said, beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing.
[10:59] But inwardly, they are ravening wolves. Y'all know what a wolf does. A wolf comes for one reason, and that's to kill.
[11:12] The Bible says to steal, kill, and destroy in the natural. You know, there's very few things that are, that, that are more vicious and, and just out for, for bloodthirsty killing than a wolf.
[11:28] And he likens. False prophets to these wolves. He says, you shall know them by their fruits.
[11:45] You will know them by their fruits. You will know them. You can, you, you know, that's why I just said, you know, we, we often want to make room for, for people.
[11:59] And, and there's a, there's a place for that, for people that, um, do not have, you know, the full knowledge of the word or, or, you know, whatever it might be.
[12:13] If they, if they have a true heart and they'll, they're surrendered to Christ and they're walking with him in a different way than we are. I, you know, we can give room for that.
[12:24] But for a person whose life is not in line with the word.
[12:35] And their heart is not in submission to the Lord Jesus Christ. He says they are a ravening wolf. He says we can know them by their fruits.
[12:52] Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? You know, where do you go when you want grapes?
[13:02] You know, in the fall when those grapes are turning ripe and they're so good. Where do you go?
[13:14] You go out to the vine. You go out to the vine. And you look for grapes. You don't go to the bramble bush.
[13:28] You don't go. You don't go out into the forest. You know, sometimes you find huckleberries out there.
[13:42] But those huckleberries, they're on their own plant. They're on a huckleberry plant. That's where you find them. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles?
[14:02] There's a couple very strong statements here that Jesus made. Let's look at them. Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit.
[14:16] But a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit.
[14:28] Neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. You know, he doesn't give any room.
[14:40] He doesn't give any gray area. Like we so often want to do and like we hear around about us all the time.
[14:52] Jesus said, Neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[15:03] A corrupt tree. Those wolves, though they might talk ever so smooth. The fruit that comes out of them brings death.
[15:18] That is why. That is why I believe. Jesus said here. He said in verse 21.
[15:30] Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. But he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[15:41] So there he brings a division. Even, you know, there's people that say, Lord, Lord. But not just that.
[15:56] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils. And in thy name done many wonderful works.
[16:10] You know, there's people that have deceived themselves. There's people that have refused to surrender to the lordship of Jesus Christ.
[16:20] And then some other spirit has empowered them. Some of them, at one time, they may have known they were wrong.
[16:37] But maybe even in time, they've been deceived by their own rebellion. And blindness has overtaken them. I believe these are the people that he's talking about.
[17:07] Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them. Verse 24. Here we have again. When we hear the word, it is so important that we yield to it.
[17:25] When the Spirit of God speaks to us, let us not push him off. Let us not quench the Spirit. Let us not grieve the Spirit. But let's surrender to him and allow him to change us.
[17:40] You know, if we push him off, if we quench him, there may come a day when he no longer speaks to us. And then it will happen to us, like it said in James, we deceive our own self.
[17:58] And God allows us to be deceived because we have chosen to resist his Spirit. Verse 26.
[18:14] Everyone that heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them not shall be likened unto a foolish man which built his house upon the sand.
[18:25] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.
[18:37] You know, I've wondered. You know, we've seen men fall. We've seen great ministries that were lifted up, and people thought much of them, we've seen them fall.
[18:54] What was the foundation under them? It must have been sand. It must have been a refusal to yield to the Spirit of God.
[19:10] What brings a man to that place? You know, just plain disobedience, pride.
[19:22] I believe pride is one of the big things that brings disobedience, that empowers that disobedient life.
[19:38] You know, in Matthew 24, Jesus warned of deception. I just want to look at a few of these verses before we move on.
[19:52] You know, here in this account, the disciples were showing him the temple, and they asked him the question.
[20:06] You know, he had said that this, he had prophesied that this temple will be thrown down and destroyed. And they asked him, when will this happen?
[20:17] And in Jesus, in verse 4, he answered them, take heed that no man deceive you, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many.
[20:33] You know, and as we look at this, and as we talk about deception, and false prophets, and all of that, let me just say this.
[20:43] I believe that the most important thing for us is to know this word, and to be yielded to the Lord Jesus Christ. And I believe that will be a protection against the false prophets.
[20:58] That will be a protection against deception, is as we know this word, and as we walk with Jesus, and we allow him always to have his way in our heart and in our life.
[21:17] Verse 11 to 13, and many false prophets. He's talking about the end times and the last days, and I believe we are living in those days.
[21:29] And verse 11, and many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many, and because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold, but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
[21:46] Because iniquity shall abound, lawlessness shall abound, and it's all over. That's our day, is it not?
[21:57] Lawlessness, rebellion, sin, iniquity, men living after their own way, living after their own heart's desires, and not after God.
[22:09] Like Timothy says, being lovers of self more than lovers of God. And then he says, the love of many shall wax cold.
[22:26] You know, let us not allow that to happen to us. You know, we get so used to the dark. We get so used to all the sin round about us and all of the evil and wickedness.
[22:47] Let's not be like Lot. He went down, and he was influenced in that land. You know, but let us keep ourselves from the deception and from the defilement of this world.
[23:12] Verse 23 to 25, then if any man shall say unto you, lo, here is Christ, or there, believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
[23:36] Behold, I have told you before. Notice what Jesus says here. He, you know, in this short, in this short chapter, and we're, you know, and we're just halfway through it maybe, he warns three times specifically about false prophets and false teachers and deception.
[24:00] And he says here, if it were possible, you know, these false prophets, they'll even do signs and wonders. And if it were possible, they would deceive the very elect.
[24:13] if it, if it's possible to deceive you, you will be deceived. That is why we must stand strong.
[24:24] That is why we must inspect the fruit of those that we listen to. And then verse 25, behold, I have told you before, you know, just simply, I warned you.
[24:47] I warned you. Remember, I warned you of this. When the day comes, remember, I warned you. He is emphasizing his warnings.
[24:59] that is why I believe that, you know, what we, what we looked at in, in chapter seven, it's so important, important, important.
[25:14] We'll be strong if we will walk this narrow way. There will be many opportunities to turn off to the side. There will be many false prophets.
[25:25] There will be many voices trying to influence us another way. There will be many opportunities, but let us know the truth and stand upon it and walk faithfully with our Lord and Savior.
[25:47] There's not everyone that saith, Lord, Lord, but he that doeth the will of the Father. that is, and, and, something that just really stood out to me again is that Jesus said, a good tree cannot bring forth corrupt fruit, cannot bring forth evil fruit.
[26:19] neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. You know, you don't go out to an apple tree and, and look for a pear.
[26:37] You don't go out to a grapevine and expect to find huckleberries. You'll never find an orange on a pear tree.
[26:49] remember that Jesus said these words. The false prophets, they try to lead you into the broad way and say, yes, all is well, all is well.
[27:22] That's what they endeavor to do. By their fruits, you shall know them. Remember that fruit, fruit is the golden test.
[27:38] It is. What fruit is coming out of our life? what fruit is coming out of other people's lives? Are we allowing this word to cleanse us and to purify us?
[27:54] Now let's turn to John 15. I am the true vine and my father is a husbandman.
[28:16] Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh away. And every branch that beareth fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth good fruit, that it may bring forth more fruit.
[28:34] So Jesus is the vine that we are attached to. And if we're not, let's get to it.
[28:48] Jesus is the true vine and as he says here that he is the true vine, that tells us that there's other vines.
[29:00] There's wild vines. You know, Isaiah talks about one of those. He's referring to Israel and how they were unfruitful.
[29:13] The master came looking for fruit and there was nothing there but wild grapes. And he was so disappointed. And what did he do then?
[29:25] You know, as a judgment upon that vineyard, he took away the fence. He quit pruning it. He quit pruning it.
[29:39] You know, if we bring forth wild fruit, eventually the father will no longer prune us and purge us.
[29:50] But Jesus is the true vine and the father is the husbandman. He is the one that takes care of this vineyard. He is the one that looks over this vine.
[30:02] He looks at every branch and he purges them. He trims them. Why? You know, that we will bring forth more fruit. You know, he is glorified when we bring forth fruit.
[30:19] And as we bring forth fruit, he will look at us. And at the right time of year, you know, the husbandman goes out and he trims the vines.
[30:32] He cuts them back and all of that. And the father does the same. He comes and he trims us.
[30:45] He purges us. for one purpose, and that is to make us more fruitful, to bring us to a place of more fruitfulness.
[30:56] Now, ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. And Jesus, you know, he was talking to the disciples and he said, you know, this word that I bring, it is purging you, it is cleansing you.
[31:14] And I'm going to look a little bit, you know, in Ephesians, he talks here about being cleansed and about, um, so verse 26, but I think I'll go back and look at more, but verse 26, that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.
[31:46] Are we being washed and cleansed and sanctified by this word, by the word of God? Now, I want to go back and I want to read a few verses more.
[31:59] Um, we could read a lot more, but I think we'll just start in verse 20, giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
[32:23] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands as unto the Lord, for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, and he is the Savior of the body.
[32:37] Therefore, as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands and everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it, that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.
[33:00] And we'll continue reading in a minute, but look at this. You know, he likens the relationship of Christ and the church to the marriage relationship. And it says here that Jesus, he gave himself for the church.
[33:17] He laid down his life for the church, and because he laid down his life for the church, he bought us, he bought us, and now he has every right to sanctify us and to cleanse us, because he did this.
[33:40] He is the head of the church, and he is the savior of the church, just like the husband is to be the savior of the wife, not that spiritually he saves her, but he is to provide and care for her, and cherish her, and nourish her, even as Christ the church.
[34:01] And we'll go on, we'll read some of this yet. Jesus gave himself for the church, verse 26, that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself, a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish.
[34:32] This is the church that Jesus is coming for. This is the church that will be the bride of Christ, is the church that is a glorious church.
[34:45] It will not have spots, it will not be spotted by this world or wrinkles or any such thing, but it will be holy and without blemish.
[34:56] Why? Because Jesus bought us and he is cleansing us and setting us free and he's bringing us out of that old life.
[35:07] You know, when we're born again, we become a new creation in Christ Jesus. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things become new.
[35:18] Are you a new creation in Christ today? Have old things passed away? Are you still living in the old? How is it with us today? Jesus wants to cleanse us and to set us free that we might bring forth more fruit and fruit brings honor and glory to the Father.
[35:44] Verse 28, so ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. No man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes it and cherishes it even as the Lord the church.
[36:02] You know, he just keeps mixing the two together. You know, for you husbands, for us husbands, do we love our wives as Christ loves the church?
[36:14] Do we love our wife even as Christ loved the church? Christ loved the church and he gave himself for it.
[36:25] Are we laying down our life for our wife? For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
[36:43] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, shall be joined unto his wife, and they too shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
[36:59] I speak concerning Christ and the church. It's a great mystery, but if we, when we're born again, and we're filled with the Spirit of God, we have the Spirit of God within us, that new creation, we become one with him.
[37:17] We have, like Peter says, the divine nature is birthed within us. We're a new creation in Christ Jesus. Oh, hallelujah.
[37:29] Are we that new creation today? Are we allowing him to cleanse us, and to purify us, and to set us free, and to make us into the men and women that our Lord would have that are useful, usable in his kingdom and bring forth much fruit.
[37:53] In 1 John 1, we have a few verses here. Starting in verse 6, he says, if we say that we have fellowship with him, with Jesus, we say we have fellowship with Jesus, but if we walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth.
[38:15] How is our walk? Now let's go on, let's see what he's talking about here. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses us from all sin.
[38:34] are we walking in the light? What's he mean by walking in the light? I believe he's talking about walking in the light of this word, allowing the spirit of God to change us, to bring this word into our heart, and to allow that word to make us into the man, the woman that God would have us to be.
[39:01] Are we walking in the light? Are we, you know, if we walk in the light, he says, if we walk in the light as Jesus is in the light, then we have fellowship one with another, we have fellowship with each other in the body of Christ, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses us from all sin.
[39:29] You know, as we walk in the light, and we allow him to speak to us, we allow him to cleanse us, like Ephesians said, this is talking about the same thing, and he cleanses us, he will set us free, he will deliver us from those hindrances, from those dark spots in our life, from those things that keep us in bondage.
[39:54] if we walk in the light, then the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses us from all sin.
[40:06] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[40:23] So it is of utmost importance that we honestly walk before our God. We walk in the light of the gospel, and we allow the light of the gospel to cleanse us, that blood of the Lord Jesus.
[40:40] It will cleanse us and set us free. How? It will expose whatever hindrances are in our heart, in our life, and as he exposes it, then we must confess and forsake.
[40:54] He says in verse 9, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. But we must confess, we must forsake, and then he will cleanse us, he will take us on, he will strengthen us in his spirit.
[41:13] Are we in Christ? Are we abiding in him? Are we abiding in him? Because only as we abide in him can we bring forth good fruit.
[41:27] Now let's go back to John 15. It says, Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
[41:41] Verse 4, Abide in me, and I in you, as a branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye except ye abide in me.
[41:59] You know, we all know how it is. You know, if there's a branch broken off of a vine or broken off of a tree, what's going to happen?
[42:09] That branch will die. It will never again bear fruit because it can't. It's not attached to the vine. Verse 5, I am the vine, ye are the branches.
[42:27] He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me, ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and his withered men gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
[42:45] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, so shall ye be my disciples.
[43:02] So shall ye be my disciples. If we bear much fruit, that is his will, that is his desire, you know, we can only, the only way we can bring forth good fruit is as we are attached to that vine, you know, where do we draw our life from?
[43:21] Where do we draw our strength from? Are we attached to the true vine? Are we attached to some other vine? You know, the false prophets, those that bring forth corrupt fruit, they are attached to some other vine, not the true vine, not the vine, the Lord Jesus, but they are attached to some other vine, that is why they bring forth corrupt fruit.
[43:53] Without me, ye can do nothing. Without the Lord Jesus, without the Holy Ghost in your life, you can do nothing that is of any spiritual value.
[44:07] It is only what is of him, what he does. That is the only way that we can bring forth fruit for him.
[44:21] Are we in Christ? How is the fruit? What fruit are we bearing? You know, it takes time. It takes time to bring forth fruit.
[44:33] You know, in the parable of the sower, it says, how is that? that they didn't endure. I'm not quite 100% sure what it says, but it talks about those that did not endure in time of affliction or in hardship.
[44:57] And then it says, and they brought no fruit to perfection. perfection. You know, I think last Sunday we may have read that verse in Hebrews, that God has no pleasure in those that draw back.
[45:18] But we are not of those that draw back, but we are of those that go on. If we draw back when the going gets tough, when it's hard, when things go the wrong way, we think, then we will never fulfill all that God has for us.
[45:43] We will not bring forth that fruit to perfection. It takes all summer for that fruit to grow and to form and to come to perfection.
[45:59] verse 7. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
[46:15] Here on the side, my Bible says this is the master key to prayer. You know, when there's a door and it's locked, we need a key.
[46:29] There's a master key that will open every door. The master key to prayer is right here. Right here. Abiding in Jesus.
[46:41] He says, if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Are we abiding in him?
[46:53] Are we living in his total delight? you know, when God looked down upon Jesus there when he was baptized, he said, this is, or was it, maybe it was at the transfiguration, but anyhow, God said, this is my beloved son in whom is my total delight.
[47:15] You know, does he see Jesus in us today? does he see Jesus in us?
[47:28] How is it? Or is it clouded? Is it do people see so much of ourselves that they don't see Jesus?
[47:42] How is it? Is he our delight? Do we delight to do his will? Do we delight to do the will of the father?
[47:58] How is it with us today? If any man be in Christ, as he is a new creature, those old things are passed away.
[48:11] Have we allowed them to pass away? Are we still hanging on to them? Are we still living in the past? are we still trying to hang on to the past? Or have we allowed them to die and to pass away?
[48:28] James 3.6 John 3.6 says, that which is born of the flesh is flesh and which is born of the spirit is spirit.
[48:44] Ephesians 3.19 19 might be filled with all the fullness of God. That is his will. That is his desire.
[48:55] That we would walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work. You know, this word, this Bible is so full of all these and some of these get into very practical things.
[49:20] I'll turn to 2 Timothy 3. Here he says, verse 16, all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
[49:55] That the man of God, you know, if we are allowing this word to do its work in us, and if we're attached to that vine in this way, and we're living for him, we're allowing him and will be furnished unto all good works.
[50:18] In Colossians chapter 2, a couple verses there. Actually, we may have read those last week, I'm not sure. Verse 9 and 10, For in him, in Jesus, dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
[50:47] We are complete in him. you know, if we are born again, and we're full of the spirit of God, we have the presence of the Lord Jesus within us, we are complete in him, in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and he is all we need.
[51:14] You know, when those false prophets come along and they say, oh, you need this, you need that. You know, if it's not in this word, you don't need it. Okay?
[51:27] Jesus. We need Jesus, and we need more of Jesus all the time. More of him. More of him.
[51:38] And it's all in him. The power and the presence of the spirit of God, it's all in Jesus. It's all in him. All, all the good things of God are in him.
[51:53] Yes. You know, in John, the gospel of John, these, there's this, these beautiful verses here.
[52:09] In chapter 16, Jesus said, it is expedient that I go away. For if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you.

[52:57] He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the father hath are mine.
[53:09] Therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you. The spirit of God, he will always glorify Christ.
[53:20] If there's a false prophet that comes, and he glorifies man, or he glorifies something, or he glorifies worship, or he glorifies anything else other than Jesus, it's a false prophet.
[53:36] The spirit of God will guide us into all truth, and the spirit of God will always glorify the Lord Jesus, and he will.
[53:50] You know, this is so great. In verse 14, he says that the Holy Ghost, the spirit of God, he will glorify me, he will glorify Jesus.
[54:05] And then he says, he will receive of mine, and he will bring it to us. You know, when we come to our Lord Jesus, we come to him in prayer, we come to God in prayer, and we have a burden, we have a need, and he will meet our need.
[54:27] The Holy Ghost will bring what we need at that time, yes, because there's no lack in the kingdom of God.
[54:39] There's no lack. There's no lack to meet our need. There's no lack for him to meet the need in our life.
[54:52] are we abiding in him?
[55:03] Are we walking worthy? Are we fruitful in every good work? Are we abiding in him?
[55:18] Are we filled with all the fullness of God? Amen. I believe that is the will of God, and it is a lifelong, a lifelong thing to be filled with all the fullness of God.
[55:44] You know, we can be filled today, and we need to be filled again. and filled again. It's a lifelong walk with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
