[0:00] I greet you in the name of Jesus this morning. He's the reason we're here. And today, Sunday, the resurrection day.
[0:21] You know, it's... Where would we be if there would be no resurrection? Like we already heard, there would... Our whole life, everything would be in vain.
[0:39] And Jesus dying would have been in vain. But he arose. He arose. And can you... You know, I was just thinking, you know, just put yourself in the disciples' place or a follower of Jesus.
[1:05] And you were starting to see that, yes, this man is the Messiah. Yes, this man is the one we've been looking for.
[1:16] But, you know, they didn't really understand the scriptures. And so, you know, I think that even Judas, you know, he betrayed Christ.
[1:30] But I believe that he thought somehow everything would be okay. Somehow Jesus would escape them or he would raise up his kingdom or something somehow.
[1:43] Because when he saw that Jesus would actually be crucified, he went out and he hung himself. So, just think of Friday night or whenever that crucifixion was, after the crucifixion.
[2:06] The hopelessness and the despair and Saturday, you know. So, yes, it was the Sabbath and maybe they went to the synagogue.
[2:19] But who feels like going to the synagogue today? Our master is dead. The son of God. You know, they probably doubted at that time that Jesus was the son of God because he was killed.
[2:34] I believe Saturday was a very dark day on this earth. No hope.
[2:46] The one we had hoped for. The one we had put our hope into. He's dead. He's dead. And he had to die.
[3:01] He had to die. We heard about the fall of man. How Adam sinned. And that was the reason we needed a Savior.
[3:18] Isaiah 53 is such a beautiful portion. Talks about the sufferings of Christ. And I think I'll just get a few verses out of this.
[3:32] Maybe not the whole chapter. But I want to read a little bit. You know, I mean, I read all the accounts in all the Gospels.
[3:45] And, you know, it's all good. But I want to look a little bit at the sufferings of Christ.
[3:57] We already heard why Jesus had to come. Why humanity needed a Savior. Why humanity needed a Savior. You know, Satan was there in the garden.
[4:13] And he's here today with great wrath against those who have the testimony of Jesus. Jesus. But 1 John tells us that for this purpose, for this reason was the Son of God manifest.
[4:32] He came to this earth to destroy the works of the devil. That's why he came. Humanity was and is in captivity to the devil.
[4:51] And only the born-again Son of God, the people of God today, the church, can be set free from that bondage.
[5:02] In Isaiah 53, he is despised and rejected of men. A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
[5:16] Verse 4, surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. He has borne our griefs. The things that weigh us down.
[5:26] The sin that we're caught in. The sickness that comes. He came to bear that. He came to redeem humanity from whatever the curse has brought upon us.
[5:44] Jesus came to redeem us from the hand of the enemy. Amen. Amen. Amen.
[5:55] Yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities.
[6:06] The chastisement of our peace was upon him. And with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own way.
[6:18] And the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. We've all gone our own way. We've all been rebellious against God.
[6:28] We've all done it. We've all put him off. We've all pushed him off. We've all rejected him at some time or other. But Jesus came and he bore it all.
[6:43] He took our iniquities. He took our sin. And he took it to the Calvary. He took it to the cross. It was, you know, there in the garden. You know, Jesus, he prayed and he cried out to God.
[6:58] And he said, oh, if only, if possible, might this cup pass from me. But it was the will of God that he drank this cup, that he go through with this suffering.
[7:11] Why? Because he needed to for humanity. He needed to carry our sin. He needed to pay for our sin.
[7:21] You know, we think the Jews, they condemned Jesus. And the Romans, they crucified him. But let me tell you, it was your rebellion and mine that put him on the cross that day.
[7:34] It was our iniquity. Just as much as anyone else's. Just as much as Pilate. It was us. We are the reason he went to the cross.
[7:49] We are the reason he had to die. Verse 10.
[8:03] Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him. He hath put him to grief. When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed.
[8:16] He shall prolong his days. And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper. In his hand he shall see the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied.
[8:29] You know, God, it pleased God to bruise his son. It pleased God that his son would bear the iniquity of humanity.
[8:42] And take it to the cross. And pay for your sin and mine. Jesus was our offering for sin.
[9:01] You know, in the Old Testament, they offered. They offered bulls and goats and lambs. These burned offerings for their sin.
[9:13] But those that the blood of animals could not take away sin. But the blood of Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God. It takes away the sin of the whole world.
[9:27] It says, The powers of darkness that have bound us.
[10:00] To be set free. Because of the blood of Jesus. God was satisfied.
[10:12] By the sacrifice of his son. By his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many.
[10:29] For he shall bear their iniquities and the consequences also. You know, our iniquities, they bring consequences. You know, we reap for what we sow.
[10:43] But Jesus even bore the consequences of our sin. If we will only give our heart and life to him. He has borne that. He paid for it.
[10:54] He paid for our redemption. Hallelujah. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great.
[11:06] He shall divide the spoiled with the strong. Because he has poured out his soul into death. Jesus. Jesus. He laid down his life.
[11:18] He poured out his soul into death. He laid it down. He laid it down for you and for me. He was numbered with the transgressors.
[11:31] There was a thief on each side of him. He was just as one of them. He was numbered with the transgressors. He was classed with the worst of sinners.
[11:47] Why? Because he was paying the price for all humanity. For he was paying the price. He was carrying the sin. For the worst of sinners.
[11:58] And you know we like to classify sin. But let me tell you. All of us are just as bad as the murderer out there. Because we've turned away and we went our own way. Hopefully all of us have repented.
[12:10] But if we've not repented. Today is our day. Today is the day of salvation. There is yet hope. There is yet redemption available. The blood of Jesus was shed for you and for me.
[12:24] For all humanity. He bare the sin of many. And made intercession for the transgressors.
[12:37] Hallelujah. The pleasure of the Lord. Yes. You know. I want to read one of these accounts.
[12:55] Let's turn to. Sure. Let's turn to John 20.
[13:10] You know. In John chapter 11. When Jesus. When he came there.
[13:21] When he came there to Mary and Martha. And Lazarus was dead. And. And. You know. He. He got the word.
[13:32] That Lazarus was sick. And he waited four days. And then he went. But this wonderful verse here. In John 11.
[13:42] 25. Jesus said unto her. I am the resurrection. And the life. He that believeth in me. Though he were dead.
[13:53] Yet. Yet. Shall he live. And whosoever liveth. And believeth in me. Shall never die. Believest thou this. You know. Do we believe. That Jesus is the resurrection.
[14:05] And the life. We're going to go. And we're going to read. Where Jesus. The account of them coming to the tomb. And it was empty. But can we. Can we realize today.
[14:16] The power of an empty tomb. Can we realize. That nothing. Nothing. Could hold our Jesus. In that tomb. That stone. Was as nothing.
[14:26] You. John said that. That God. That Jesus. Could have called for. For ten legions of angels. But look at. One angel. Came down that morning. And he rolled away the stone.
[14:39] And the. That guard. That the Sanhedrin. Had set there. To guard the tomb. They all fell down as dead. That was one angel. I believe that one angel.
[14:50] Could have come. And rescued Jesus. Off of that cross. If he would have cried. But. But. It was. The power of. Of our Lord. To stay on that cross.
[15:01] And to give his life for us. Oh. Hallelujah. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Is. The resurrection. And the life. You know. Whatever your need is today.
[15:14] Jesus. Is the resurrection. And the life. He came to. To die for us. But he came. And he rose again. Why? That. The power of his resurrection.
[15:27] Can work in our lives. That it can work in your life. It can work in my life. And how's that? Maybe we don't. Maybe. We'll see.
[15:38] We might not even have time. To read that. But I want to go to Romans. I want to get that verse. We already heard it. Quote it this morning. But Romans 8. Romans 8.
[15:51] Verse 11. But if the spirit of him. That raised up Jesus. From the dead.
[16:02] Dwell in you. He that raised up Christ. From the dead. Shall also quicken your mortal bodies. By his spirit. That dwelleth in you. The spirit.
[16:13] That. The very spirit of God. That raised up Jesus. From the dead. The very spirit of Jesus. Jesus. The resurrection. And the life. Yes. That very spirit.
[16:25] Dwells in us. He's in us today. And whatever need we face. Whatever situation we come into. His power is available for us.
[16:36] If we. If we're living for him. If we're totally yielded to him. He can work through us. And he can meet those needs. The very. Is that resurrection power.
[16:48] Working in you today. The very power. That raised up Jesus. From the dead. You know those women. They came to the tomb that morning. The sun was barely up.
[17:01] And they got there that morning. And Jesus was not there. Oh hallelujah. The empty tomb. Can you.
[17:12] Can you grasp the power of the empty tomb. You know yesterday. We were crying. We were weeping. All was lost. The cause was lost.
[17:24] I don't know what went wrong. But there's no hope. Jesus is dead. And all our hopes are gone. This morning. All of a sudden. Jesus is alive.
[17:35] The grave could not hold him. Hallelujah. The stone is rolled away. He's not there. He's not there. Hallelujah. The same spirit.
[17:51] That raised up Jesus. From the dead. Is he dwelling in you today? Is he. He can. He desires to.
[18:02] He wants to. He will if you allow him. He will if you surrender your heart and life to him. He will. He will.
[18:17] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You know in Matthew. It tells us what. You know. The guards.
[18:27] They came into town. And they. They told the Jews. They told them. What happened. You know. And isn't it something.
[18:38] That those men. They heard the story. An angel came. And. There was nothing we could do.
[18:49] He rolled the stone away. We fell over. We. We don't know what happened. But when we awoke. Jesus was gone. You know.
[19:03] They said. Well. We'll pay you. Good money. And you just go. And you say. That you. You. You fell asleep. And. The disciples came. And they stole the body.
[19:14] And you know. I believe that. Probably. The. In the Jewish religion. Today.
[19:25] People that have not yet. Accepted Christ. They. They still believe that. They still believe that story. You know.
[19:42] What lie are we believing? Are we believing some lie that. Keeps us. From experiencing. The power.
[19:54] Of the resurrection. Jesus said. I am the resurrection. And the life.
[20:07] He that believeth. In me. Though he were dead. Yet. Shall he live. If we believe in him.
[20:18] Today. We have eternal life. We have eternal life. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.
[20:29] Amen. Let's go to revelation. Chapter 1. Verse 4.
[20:56] John to the seven churches which are in Asia, grace be unto you in peace. From him which is, talking about Jesus, from him which is and which was and which is to come, and from the seven spirits which are before his throne, from Jesus Christ who is a faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth, Jesus, the first begotten of the dead. You know, Jesus, he was the first fruits. He was the first begotten from the dead, and now because of him we can all, we will all arise. Hallelujah. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. He has made us kings and priests unto God. Behold, he cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and the also which pierced him, and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega. He is the beginning, and he is the end, and he's all the way through. You know, this Jesus says he created, all things were created by him and for him. That's in the beginning of this book, and in the end of this book, he says, I'm coming again. And the Spirit and the Bride, they say, come. Even so, come, Lord
[22:50] Jesus. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He will live forever. He is the resurrection and the life. And he's the only life. Without him, we perish. Now, let's go to verse 14. You know, John, he saw Jesus. He saw Jesus. And here's part of his description. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were as a flame of fire, and his feet like into fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace, and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he added his right hand. He had seven stars, and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and his countenance with his sun, shineth in his strength. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not, I am the first and the last. I am he that liveth and was dead. And behold, I am alive forevermore. Hallelujah. He will never again lay down his life. He did that. Amen. And have the keys of hell and of death. You know, Satan no longer has the keys. Satan is now defeated. He's a defeated foe. You know, he comes, and he wants to kill, to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. You know, he'll steal whatever he can from you. Whatever you have received from Jesus, whatever you've received from the Spirit of God, Satan's going to try to steal it from you. But he's defeated. If we will stand, if we will, if we will do all that we can, and we will stand therefore, and we will withstand against the enemy. If we will do that, our enemy is defeated. We can live a victorious life. We can.
[25:16] And I believe that if we, if we have allowed the Spirit of God to come and to take over in our heart, we have that power within us, and we will be able to live a life of victory. Jesus, he said here, he has the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, things which thou, things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.
[25:53] The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks, and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
[26:13] And the next verse says that Jesus, he is the one that walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks. Jesus walks in our midst. He comes and he walks in our midst. And what does he see?
[26:30] Does he see? Does he see a life of victory? Does he see? Does he see? Does he see? Blood bought saints of God. Or does he see blemishes? You know, he, he, he paid the price of our redemption.
[26:47] And, and he paid this price that he might, that he might take to himself a pure and a spotless bride, a church without spot or wrinkle, or any such thing. That's what he desires. That's what he came for.
[27:06] That's why he laid down his life. That's why he shed his blood. And that's why he rose again. That we might live in the power of his resurrection. Do you have Jesus in your heart?
[27:19] Do you have the power of the spirit of God in your heart? Jesus, he is the resurrection and the, and the life. If he's in your heart, you have that resurrection power in you. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
[27:37] Oh, yes. Let's turn to Ephesians. Ephesians chapter one. Ephesians chapter one.
[28:16] Ephesians chapter one.
[28:46] Ephesians chapter one. Ephesians chapter one.
[29:16] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe according to the working of his mighty power.
[29:29] And what mighty power that works in us is he talking about? Which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.
[29:43] That's the power he's talking about. That resurrection power. That resurrection power. Jesus is the resurrection power.
[29:54] The same spirit that raised him from the dead. The same spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead. He now dwells in us. And that's the power he's talking to, talking about when he, here in these verses, the exceeding greatness of his power.
[30:07] And it's to usward. It's to us. It's to us. It's not just for him. It's for usward. Those that believe. If we really believe in the power and the blood of Jesus.
[30:18] That mighty power that works, that worked in him, it now works in us. That spirit of, of, of, that, that spirit of resurrection.
[30:32] It now works in us to fulfill the will of God in us and through us. This power, which was, which he wrought in Christ, it was manifest when he raised him from the dead.
[30:50] He, he showed his mighty power. Yes. And he set him, he set Jesus at his own right hand in heavenly places.
[31:01] And now we are seated. You know, in, in chapter two, verse six, it says, he has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
[31:15] That Jesus is seated at the right hand of the father. And we, as born again believers, we are seated with Christ in heavenly places. Hallelujah.
[31:26] Yes. And where is this? Far above in verse 21, far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
[31:41] That's where we are seated today. We are seated with Christ. And we're far above those principalities and powers that come against you every day.
[31:52] You're above them. You can have the victory over them. There's no need to falter. There's no need to be defeated because Jesus has won the victory and he's dwelling in your heart.
[32:07] Oh, might this grip our hearts today. And we are seated with Christ far above all principality, far above all powers and might and dominion and every name that is named.
[32:22] Not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. And he has put all things under his feet and he gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body.
[32:36] The fullness of him that filleth all in all. We the church, we are his body. And he is the head. And all things otherwise.
[32:50] Everything outside of the church is under the feet of Jesus. It's defeated. It's defeated. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.
[33:00] That's why he came. Yes. And so they're all principality and all power and might and dominion. They're all under him.
[33:11] They're under his feet. They're defeated in the name of Jesus. They're defeated by the blood of Jesus. They're defeated by the resurrection of Jesus.
[33:25] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. The name of Jesus. What is your need? You know, if we have a need today, Jesus is here to meet that need.
[33:37] Whatever our need might be, he's here to meet it. Yes. If we need redemption, he paid for our redemption.
[33:48] If we need salvation, he paid for our salvation. If we need power, he's here to give us his power. Yes. Yes. Life.
[34:00] His life. Life eternal. Yes. Healing. He is here to meet every situation.
[34:12] There's nothing our Lord cannot do. There's nothing he can't meet. There's nothing that will defeat him.
[34:26] He has the keys of death and of hell. He took them from Satan. And now, if we're born again, we're translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Jesus Christ.
[34:46] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Yes. He is able to make all grace abound toward you.
[34:57] His grace is sufficient. He is able to make all grace abound toward you. Yes. Hallelujah.
[35:08] Hallelujah. The same spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead. He now dwells in us.
[35:24] Just a couple of verses yet. One in 1 Corinthians 6.14. See what that says. God hath both raised up the Lord and will also raise up us by his own power.
[35:43] Hallelujah. Not only did God raise up Jesus, but he will raise up us. Yes, he will. Yes, he will.
[35:54] We will be changed. Oh, yes. In the twinkling of an eye, we will be changed. In 1 Corinthians 15. You know, as was mentioned before.
[36:07] You know, the Apostle Paul, he wrote this. And he said. You know, he wrote the first part of this chapter, especially to prove the resurrection of Jesus.
[36:24] You know, he went, you know, going through this. He says. Well, let's start in verse 3. Let's read a few of these verses. For I have delivered unto you, first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.
[36:42] And that he was buried, and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve. After that he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
[37:03] After that he was seen of James, then of all the apostles. And last of all, he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
[37:15] You know, there was lots of proof that Jesus rose from the dead. And today, if we have his power within us, that proof is in our lives.
[37:26] We are living proof that Jesus is alive. We are living proof that he rose from the dead. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Yes.
[37:38] Yes. Someday. You know, let's read. And let's start.
[37:53] Verse 50. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
[38:05] Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible.
[38:19] And we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption. This mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on immortality, this mortal shall have put on immortality.
[38:34] Then shall be brought to pass a saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
[38:46] The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God.
[38:59] Because Jesus has given us the victory. He has given us the victory. He has paid for our redemption.
[39:10] He has paid for our deliverance. He has paid the price of our sin, of our life of rebellion, of our life before we knew Jesus.
[39:21] You know, we were in bondage to the devil. We were living in darkness. But then the glorious light of the gospel has come. Hallelujah.
[39:33] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. For as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
[39:47] You know, sometimes it might seem our labor is in vain. But, you know, if we are led by the Spirit of God, if we are allowing Him to use us, if we are allowing Him to change us, if we are allowing that resurrection power to work through our lives, it's not in vain.
[40:15] It's not in vain. Though it might seem that way, our life, a life lived for the Lord is not in vain.
[40:25] It's never in vain. Yes. That quote, it was Jim Elliot, said, He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.
[40:49] You know, we can't keep our life anyway. So if we lay it down for Him, we cannot lose it anymore. Hallelujah. Why?
[41:01] Because of the resurrection power of Jesus. The resurrection of the dead. Sown in corruption. It is raised in incorruption.
[41:13] It is sown in dishonor. It is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness. It is raised in power. Verse 43, that was.
[41:25] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Jesus. He is the resurrection, the life. He is.
[41:37] He was. He is. He always will be. Praise God. Jesus for every need.
[41:48] Doesn't matter what your need is today. Jesus is the answer to that need. underflo Jure, twaming point, Timothy. I believe that this is a wrap of the serr, head around for the being.
[42:05] He always would aprend like to on top of the serr, and like to wave into oxygen. He always wants to form the energy, towards the higher pressure, towards the Multi-Lean Pet. Where he lands on to life… ompt him. He always agenda the moment for the host of these, Tom and St怎么 met, which is great for aç vid.
[42:17] On like this one light. But if we all know each other day, Do not know each other act if he is. Where is the computer at respectful of the realm?
