[0:00] Greetings to each of you this morning, in Jesus' name, His worthy name, the one that we are here to praise and to worship and adore.
[0:13] It's a blessing to be here and a huge blessing to hear the testimonies of Rosa and Margie this morning and just that, like we heard already, that so many prayers have been answered and God is still answering prayers and His provisions are just as real as they've always been to mankind.
[0:43] I'd like to talk this morning about the kingdom and our King, Jesus, and a father.
[0:54] I'm in full surrender to this King. The burden I had yesterday as I was looking at this, I feel like I'm hindered by words.
[1:11] I don't know how to convey really what my burden is with words. But with God's grace and if you listen, I think I'll be able to at least share in part what God has laid on my heart today.
[1:31] Just some thoughts and some scriptures here to start with. And just as a reminder that Christ came to earth, He came to establish His kingdom.
[1:48] Both John and Jesus proclaimed that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Simply put, it's saying God's kingdom is here.
[2:01] It's with us. It's here now. It's at hand. There's a kingdom that they preached. Both John and Jesus. John the Baptist in Matthew 3 verse 1, it says, In those days came John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[2:24] For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord.
[2:37] Make his path straight. And then again when John saw Jesus, he also said in John 1 verse 29, The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
[3:00] That's why we're here today. Because God sent His Lamb, His Son, to take away the sin of the world.
[3:10] He took away the sin of the world. He took away our sin by making us born again and having given us the gift of faith in our hearts that we can become His children.
[3:26] Are you a child of a king this morning? Of this king, this kingdom? Are we part of this kingdom? I believe that we are, for the most part.
[3:41] Perhaps all of us, but at least most of us, sitting here this morning. In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus said, Thy kingdom come.
[3:53] He taught the disciples how to pray. And He started it with our Father who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. And He said, Thy kingdom come.
[4:05] Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. You see, there's a heart that is portrayed here that is surrendered to this king and to this kingdom.
[4:18] Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Is that how we pray? Lord, Your will be done. Your kingdom.
[4:29] This kingdom is a spiritual kingdom. And if Christ's kingdom is spiritual, then we must be partakers of what is spiritual to be part of it.
[4:46] The old man, the old self, our old way, our own way, cannot and will never be part of this kingdom. There has to be a new life.
[5:00] A new Adam. A new Adam. A new birth. Praise God for that new birth. Satan's kingdom is also spiritual.
[5:13] But it's a kingdom of darkness. It's a kingdom of death, defeat, and destruction. A kingdom of despair. Hopelessness.
[5:25] But in Christ's kingdom, we will find life, blessing, joy, peace. All the fruits of the Spirit. We'll find strength, hope, healing, faith, and love.
[5:42] His is the kingdom of light. Light. Let's turn to Colossians chapter 1. And just read some scripture there.
[5:56] Could somebody bring me a drink of water? I'm going to need it. Colossians chapter 1, verse 10. That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.
[6:19] Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience, and longsuffering with joyfulness, giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.
[6:45] Remember later, John said, in the back of the book, John, he said, there is no darkness in this God.
[6:59] Remember when he was talking about Jesus and how they handled Him and how He is in the light. There is no darkness in Him at all. Verse 14 here in Colossians, Thank you.
[7:18] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature? For by Him were all things created that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.
[7:35] All things were created by Him and for Him. It sounds like a king, doesn't it? Everything was created for Him, by Him and for Him.
[7:51] Verse 17, And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. This is our great King.
[8:01] We all know in our minds that are Christians, that He is in fact the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
[8:13] But do we really know it in our hearts? Am I really surrendered to this King? Our surrender to Him and to His word, His authority is the only thing that proves whether we really believe it.
[8:35] It's not our words, not a fact that we've come to recognize, but in our hearts. Has it really gripped our hearts? Let's keep reading here in verse 18.
[8:53] And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He might have preeminence.
[9:06] That means He is in front of everything in our life. Preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell and have made peace, having made peace through the blood of His cross by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself.
[9:26] By Him I say, whether they be things in earth or things in heaven. He is the head of the body, the church, is what it says in verse 18.
[9:52] The church is His. If He's the head, then He's the head. In Acts 20, verse 28, there's a verse that is familiar to us.
[10:06] He's talking, I believe, to church leaders. I think it was Luke that wrote Acts.
[10:18] But Acts 20, verse 28, familiar verse. It says, Take heed therefore unto yourselves and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood.
[10:39] This verse is precious to me. I remember years ago back in Ohio when I was studying about the Jehovah's Witness religion and I had regular Jehovah's Witness elders coming to our business place and trying to convert us.
[11:00] The argument, the number one thing was, who is Jesus? Who is He? Is He God? They don't believe He is. But right here in this verse it says, To feed the church of God, capital G, God, which He, God, hath purchased with His own blood.
[11:24] Jesus shed His own blood. Jesus is this God that we're talking about. Church leaders have a responsibility to feed the flock of God, the believers.
[11:40] But church leaders do not own the church. We are bought with the same blood as everyone else that makes us brothers in Christ.
[12:00] Churches have men that are ordained by God, that are godly to be godly examples. And to lead and are responsible to feed. But they never own the church of Jesus Christ.
[12:14] We are His servants. Many men fail Christ in this. And they try to take ownership when only Christ is the head of His church.
[12:25] Lord, help us in that. If you truly believe that Christ is the head of the church and that He is all authority, then you will accept His order of the church.
[12:46] You will be glad to accept His structure structure and what He has laid out in His word for His body. We will gladly accept and honor the callings and the gifts that He has placed within His body.
[13:04] The church is so much more than some organization set up by man. Men can make all kinds of organizations and set up things and men do that and they call it the church.
[13:23] Many times. But the true church is the body of people that are redeemed and purchased by the blood of the Lamb.
[13:37] That's the church purchased by the blood of the Lamb. They have a king and they recognize Him as king. They serve Him as king.
[13:49] This great king has a message for us to proclaim. Are we doing that? Are we walking in humility before this great king? And are we proclaiming what He has done for us?
[14:02] This is not just for the preachers. We're all preachers in that sense that we have a message. We have a word. We have something that the Lord has done for us.
[14:13] Are we conveying that to those around us? Are we hiding it? Are we ashamed of sharing what Jesus has done for us? The apostles weren't.
[14:27] The early church wasn't. We'll look at that in a minute. They weren't ashamed. They were willing to die. They still had to share it.
[14:38] They had to share the good news of Jesus. Some verses in Galatians, if you'd turn there, Galatians chapter 4.
[14:48] Galatians 4, verse 4.
[14:59] Galatians 4, verse 4. When the fullness of the time was come, God sent His Son made of a woman under the law to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
[15:12] And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Does that happen to us?
[15:25] For we have received the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, recognizing God as our Father. wherefore, thou art no more a servant.
[15:38] Other translations give this word servant as a slave. You're no more a slave or a servant, but a son. And if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
[15:52] Precious verses that we have sonship. We are a child of this King. We're a child of the King. My thoughts just marvel at that.
[16:11] Think of a story, but I'm going to keep moving. In 1 John chapter 3, let's go to that. 1 John chapter 3. In verse 1.
[16:24] I'm going to start some, just read part of this chapter, or maybe most of it. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God.
[16:42] Therefore, the world knoweth us not because it knew Him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when He shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
[17:05] Anybody want to explain that verse? We shall be like Him. Those are some deep words.
[17:16] Verse 3. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself even as He is pure. So if nothing else, we're going to be pure.
[17:29] That verse explains the previous verse. We purify ourselves even as He is pure. That's speaking about now, actually.
[17:39] Verse 4. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth the law, also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him is no sin.
[17:57] Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not. Whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you.
[18:07] He that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning.
[18:20] For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. How does He do that? By taking away our sin.
[18:30] By giving us victory over sin. That's how He destroys the works of the devil. Verse 9. Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin. For His seed remaineth in Him, and He cannot sin because He is born of God.
[18:47] I remember reading that verse after I was a Christian wondering, what is He talking about? How then can I sin? How do I...
[19:00] Is He talking about perfection here? Sinless perfection? He is actually. He is. Verse 6 says, if we abide in Him, you know that seed that God puts into our hearts, that seed that makes us born again, that makes that part inside of us alive.
[19:26] Something that was dead inside. Right, Margie? You're looking up here. But it was dead inside. When you gave it all to Jesus, it became alive.
[19:37] Something beautiful happened in your heart. And there was a new birth. That's the seed of God that this is talking about. That when that comes into our heart, that seed, that is God's Spirit Himself in us, cannot sin.
[19:57] Does that make sense to you? That cannot sin. That part of my Christianity, that life, it's really the only part of Christianity. But that life of God in us cannot sin.
[20:10] It will never sin. So how can we sin? Because John also says that if we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us.
[20:27] You see that old Adam, we're still in the flesh and sometimes He wants to raise His head and still be alive. And we give in. And we let Him sin. But the new Adam in you can never sin.
[20:41] The new life, I should say. The life of God. That seed. That's what John's talking about. The seed of God in you cannot sin.
[20:54] It's always the old Adam. that we need to repent for. But if we continue in sin and we just sin and we sin and we sin, there's no victory, then we're not born again.
[21:09] That seed is not in us. Verse 10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil, whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
[21:25] Right there it is. If we don't do righteousness, if we don't have it, then it says, whosoever doeth not righteous is not of God, neither him that loveth not his brother.
[21:42] For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, not as Cain, who was of that wicked one and slew his brother.
[21:54] And wherefore slew he him, because his own works were evil and his brother's righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
[22:08] Don't be surprised. Perhaps we should be more concerned if the world does not hate us. Could there be something wrong? We know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren.
[22:28] He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Another place, it says that if you say you love God, but you hate your brother, you're a liar.
[22:46] Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer. And we know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us.
[23:00] And we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
[23:16] My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth. Such practical teaching here. You don't even have to explain it.
[23:28] It's just, if we see a need, and we don't help, and maybe somebody's struggling, you know, we're quick to see needs when somebody has a, maybe a financial need, or a housing need, or a need for food, or something happened, and they're just needing firewood, whatever.
[23:46] But what about when somebody's struggling spiritually? Do we have answers for them? Does the church of Jesus have answers to give to those that are hurting, and those that are deceived, or disillusioned and need help?
[24:09] What about that? Do we shut up our bowels of mercy? Do we care? Do we care? Do we care? To love in deed and in truth.
[24:22] And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
[24:35] Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then we have confidence toward God. God is greater than our heart.
[24:49] And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment, that we should believe on the name of the Son of, on His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another as He gave us commandment.
[25:07] You know, loving each other is not an option, brothers and sisters. Right here it says that He gave us commandment. Why do we make it an option?
[25:20] Well, I love this brother here, because he's easier to love, but the one over there, I'd just rather not talk to him. And I understand personalities.
[25:34] Certain ones mesh easier, and it's easier. And others are more difficult. I understand that. God understands that. But that's no excuse for not having love. Having love in our hearts.
[25:50] I'd like to talk now more about our surrender to this. And this was actually the burden I had yesterday in my own heart, about my own life.
[26:07] And what I see in the church as a whole, in God's church as a whole, is this idea that we can just partially surrender.
[26:23] And it makes me wonder if there's even such a thing. partial surrender. God's heart is grieved with all the half-heartedness, partial surrenders, loose living, careless Christianity that we see today.
[26:42] Whatever happened with Christians being all sold out and all in for Jesus? Some will call it radical Christianity. Where is the Christian that gives everything to Jesus?
[26:58] In total surrender, even to the point of sacrifice, laying down one's life for Christ. You know, that is a noble thing, but it's only our reasonable service.
[27:12] In fact, in Romans, it says, Romans 12, that we are to, I think it was Paul that wrote that, he beseeched us by the mercies of God that we would, that our lives would be a living sacrifice.
[27:32] I'm just giving my own words there, but a living sacrifice. That is our reasonable service after all he has done for us. Present your bodies a living sacrifice to Jesus.
[27:45] Here's a prayer that some Christians might not pray, but maybe they live it.
[27:58] This would be typical in the nominal Christian world. The prayer of the average Christian. God, I want to give you most of my life, but I want to negotiate with you on this.
[28:15] I know your word says we need to surrender everything to you, but that just doesn't seem quite fair. After all, life is really hard and we only have one life.
[28:28] So please, Lord, try to understand that I want to enjoy life and do some things just for me. Things that bring me pleasure, but I will be a good person and will make sure no one gets hurt in the process.
[28:44] I promise to be a good asset in the Christian community. Lord, please bless my life, my money, my business, my family, my sons and daughters and my hobbies.
[28:56] But Lord, if you don't mind, could I be in charge of all that? Would you mind if I stayed in charge of what I drive, how I dress, what I watch, what I listen to?
[29:12] I'll make sure it won't affect my relationship with you, Lord. But if it does, I'll make it right again next Sunday. I would also like to live in a really nice house and have nice views of your creation.
[29:27] Thank you, Lord, that we are here in America where we are free to serve you without any persecution, where we can be at home peacefully with our families and raise our children for you, Lord.
[29:40] Then hopefully, they can do the same for their children. After all, we want to be free in Christ. Oh, and Lord, that brother and sister that are so unfair and those people that are hard to love, I want to eventually surrender them to you as well, but not yet.
[30:00] I still need to work through all that and it takes some time. Sometime when I get over it, I'll surrender them to you as well. And Lord, I'd like to just be more of a Sunday Christian.
[30:17] After all, Sunday is your day, right, Lord? So I commit to going to your house each Sunday to worship you and I'll do my best to focus more on you on that day.
[30:32] But if I could take care of the other days of the week, that would be great because I have so many things I want to get done. But I will certainly let you know if I run into any problems.
[30:45] I'll come to you in prayer if I get really sick or if anything major happens to me and my heart gets rejected and hurt by other Christians like me, I will promise to cry out to you then, Lord.
[30:59] Please be there for me when I need you. I know I can always count on you, Jesus. Lord, I want you to know that I really love you. And someday, when things slow down for me or when I get older, I really want to give you my whole heart.
[31:21] We may not actually pray this prayer. I know we don't. but what does Jesus hear when he sees and hears our daily lives?
[31:36] Our lives are like a voice ascending up to heaven to the Lord and to others around us. Are they messages of surrender where the life of Jesus is flowing or are they messages of a partial surrender?
[31:56] For Jesus is hindered from working and from living. Remember, Jesus is king and he owns everything. He is the one that wants to be in charge.
[32:15] True Christianity is radical. For years, I didn't really believe that. For years, I didn't to my shame.
[32:29] Think of the apostles and the church when it first started. When God first came to his church and it began on that day of Pentecost and the weeks following and the months and the years.
[32:44] Those dear people, they were so surrendered to God, they even brought their money and laid it at the apostles' feet to be distributed. They sold their lands and kept only what they needed all for this kingdom and for this king.
[33:02] They were so radical. I'm sure it didn't make sense to the human mind and for sure not to the earthly minded. The Bible says they turned the world upside down.
[33:16] Many of them were killed for their faith but they stayed surrendered to this Christ and his kingdom that they believed in with all their hearts.
[33:29] Today, we still have people like that. We may not know them personally but they exist. They can exist right here.
[33:40] even without persecution that can exist. That kind of a commitment. Spirit-filled Christianity should still be normal Christianity.
[34:00] Where are we today? What does our commitment look like as the voice of our life? Not our words but the voice of our life goes up toward heaven and God sees.
[34:13] God hears. Is it a sold out fully surrendered heart that is causing the angels to rejoice? Or are we still hanging on to our life like that prayer?
[34:29] In Matthew 16 where Jesus rebuked Peter I'll just read a few verses. says, But he turned and said unto Peter Get thee behind me Satan thou art an offense to me for thou savest not the things that be of God but those that be of men.
[34:49] Let's let those words settle into our hearts for a moment. You're not thinking Peter about the things of God.
[35:02] You're thinking like a man. Then said Jesus unto his disciples If any man will come after me let him deny himself take up his cross and follow me for whosoever will save his life shall lose it and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
[35:26] Are we saving our life? Are we hanging on to our life? For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?
[35:39] What shall a man give in exchange for his soul? These are the words of Jesus. For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
[35:54] Jesus is coming back. Says here that he shall reward every man according to his works.
[36:12] God cannot fill that which is not surrendered to him. The power of God the strength of God the peace of God the spirit of God can only fill that which is surrendered.
[36:31] A half-hearted heart a partially surrendered Christian will never taste the fullness of God in his heart. He will never experience the power of God in his life.
[36:47] God Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead. victories will always be limited and you will never see real change in your life.
[36:58] And what's worse, you will never lead others to this great king either. You will be most useless in his church.
[37:10] He can only use the person that gives him complete control. complete control. You know in one of the times that we were praying with Rosa I just remember you saying that before you thought you'd surrendered but you hadn't.
[37:36] But today I'd like to or something like that. But now I'd like to. sometimes we think we've surrendered. Maybe it was a partial surrender.
[37:48] Maybe it was most but not quite everything yet. Not everything at the foot of the cross but today we can.
[38:01] What a testimony that is to recognize that. Today there's still hope. today if we don't harden our hearts he will forgive us and he still calls men everywhere to repent.
[38:18] That's a blessing. That's God's mercy. He will wash and give us another chance to surrender all. I know there's been times in my life when I thought I'd surrendered everything and then God will bring something that I realize I haven't surrendered that part of my life yet.
[38:41] I'm still hanging on. And do you know why we don't surrender? If our hearts have been washed and we're still you know maybe there's a few things we're just not quite letting go but yet our heart is good, our heart is tender toward him.
[38:59] But the reason we don't many times we don't surrender I think brother James preached this not long ago too that it's because we don't trust him. Maybe that was we don't love him because we don't trust him.
[39:13] But if our heart is fully trusting our Lord, we are fully trusting his provisions and in him for everything, then surrender comes naturally for the Christian.
[39:31] It's when we don't trust him that we don't surrender. will we follow Jesus if he calls us to a place that we thought we'd never go?
[39:55] I know Enos shared that you never thought he'd be here or something like that or that it would be like this you know. But are we committed? Are we so committed that it doesn't matter where Jesus calls me?
[40:08] It doesn't matter. I'm just okay with that. I know I used to be afraid of that. I used to think when I first heard the gospel and came to Jesus that if I trust him with everything in my life, then what if I have to do something I don't want to do?
[40:24] What if I have to go somewhere? What if, what if, what if, you know, it just keeps going? That's not a surrendered heart. Surrendered heart says I'm here, I'm yours Lord.
[40:38] I'll go, I'll do whatever you call me to do. Whatever that is. We don't need to be afraid. Even if it's in India or Africa.
[40:51] What if I want to move somewhere south of here where it's a little warmer? On a day like today you can think of that, especially those of you that came from the south. What if God wants you to stay right here?
[41:07] Either way is okay, right? As long as we're in his will. Just to be surrendered. If those things are not surrendered, then he can't really use us like he'd like to.
[41:24] Christ is looking today for honest and open hearts. we can trust him. Bible says that Jesus is not the right hand of the Father and he's interceding for us.
[41:38] He's praying for us. He's praying for our full surrender. Think about that. Last Sunday we had the privilege of being there at that little church there in Michigan and Trenda with her condition there with her cancer.
[42:03] She also had a possible aneurysm that she was going to get checked out the next day and she just requested prayer. And she was weeping of course and we all gathered around the front to pray for her.
[42:17] and she said something like she's just reaching out toward the hem of his garment. She just wants to touch Jesus.
[42:29] And what stood out to me is when her husband was praying. I forget the exact words but it was the most beautiful picture of surrender. He was telling the Lord that if you just please heal my wife we will praise you.
[42:48] We'll praise you so much Lord. And then in the end of that prayer he said but Lord if otherwise we'll still praise you.
[43:02] that would be huge. To surrender your wife in that way.
[43:15] But that was his testimony. I don't know if you realize that we were listening to his prayer or not but that really spoke to me. We'll worship you Lord. We'll praise you. We're committed to you and especially if you heal my wife.
[43:28] If you choose to let her die I'll still worship you. I'll still praise you. Is that the kind of commitment that we have this morning? That kind of surrender all?
[43:40] My life? My wife? These are things you can say in your mind and your heart. My wife?
[43:53] My husband? My children? My children? My children? My children? My children? My children? My children? My children? My children? My children? Sons and daughters? My business? My job? Even my future?
[44:05] It's all yours Lord because you truly are the Lord of my life. All I have to bring to you is a surrendered heart.
[44:21] That's it. All I give is my surrendered heart. Use it for your glory. The world tries to tell us that freedom is when you're in control.
[44:37] Freedom is when you have lots of money and things. Freedom is when you have when you're still in power.
[44:53] Power is freedom. Money is freedom. All those things. The American dream. I can accept or understand a portion of that thought.
[45:05] But as a whole the American dream conflicts with a surrendered life. As a whole. And I've wondered how much it has harmed the church.
[45:20] Not only that but also this idea of a kingdom. In America we have a free society. we say.
[45:30] We have free and open elections and it's we the people and we're in charge. Right? We're our own government. And I'm thankful to be here in this country where we have freedom of worship.
[45:46] But I believe that freedom and that mindset and that concept has harmed the church to where we don't have a king either.
[45:58] It's still we the people. We decide things. We don't have a king. We don't worship him like we should. We don't fear him like we should. If he says it then we should tremble at his word like David.
[46:10] And by the way in the Bible times they didn't have this free society very much. They had kings. They understood kingdoms. Today in America we have a hard time understanding that.
[46:25] But a king is if I can use the term dictator do you know dictating can be a good thing?
[46:37] If it's a good king. Is Jesus dictating our life? Is he our king? If he says it I'll just do it by faith. that kind of surrender.
[46:51] Knowing that he's our king. What's our prayer life like? What do I really care about the things of God and hearing his voice? I don't know.
[47:02] Yesterday I just had to do some repenting in this whole thing of surrender. You know a few years ago life was pretty difficult in our family.
[47:15] And God used those things to break me and to help me to see things about my own heart to where I needed a greater level of surrender.
[47:26] And I went through that time of surrender. But you know we need to be reminded time and again. This year is not last year and last year was not the year before.
[47:39] What about today? Where am I at today? Where are you at today? I think we have plenty of time. If anyone wants to just come up and kneel at the altar and just surrender all, that's good.
[47:57] But make sure you count the cost. Make sure you're willing to follow through. I'd like for James, if you'd just play that song, I surrender all.
[48:16] Let's just stand and let's worship together. Let's pray in our hearts that we will surrender. If you want to come to the front and just feel your that's good as well.
[48:28] But think about the words or just surrender to you. Let's go. All to thee I'm free and I will ever love and trust you in your presence in the dead I surrender all I surrender all All to thee my blessed Savior I surrender all He deserves our all
[49:29] All to Jesus I surrender all I give myself to thee fill me with your love and power let your blessings fall on me I surrender all I surrender all all all all all to thee my blessed Savior I surrender all all all all to
[50:35] Jesus I surrender now I feel your sacred name all the joy of salvation all salvation glory glory to your name I surrender all I surrender all all all all to thee my blessed Savior I surrender all I surrender all I surrender all
