[0:26] I know this is about where we ended last, about two weeks ago, last time I was here, up here.
[0:42] I want to start and I want to talk about the seed today.
[0:56] John chapter 12, verse 23 and 24. You know, Jesus came for a very specific purpose.
[1:12] He came to give his life a ransom that we might have life.
[1:26] So let's read here. And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come that the Son of Man should be glorified.
[1:39] Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone. But if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
[1:53] You know, here, Jesus, first of all, he's talking about himself. He said, The hour is come that the Son of Man should be glorified.
[2:06] And he was talking about his death, his burial and his resurrection. And as we look at his death, how can we, how did this, how could he refer to this as the Son of Man being glorified?
[2:28] Glorified. But, you know, as we, as we look at this further and when we see here, he says, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone.
[2:42] You know, we could have a seed here this morning. And we could have it laying here.
[2:52] And as long as it's here, you could take it home. You can put it on a shelf. And as long as it's there on the shelf, it'll look nice. But it will always just be what it is.
[3:07] It will be a seed of wheat or whatever seed it might be. It will never become more than what it is.
[3:20] But when it dies, when you take it and you put it in the ground and it dies to all that it is, to all that it was, then it will spring forth in new life and become something much more than it ever had the potential of being before.
[3:44] And Jesus, if he would have stayed in heaven, he would have been a wonderful Jesus and a wonderful God.
[3:56] But he would never have saved humanity. He would never have multiplied. So, even as the principle of the seed going into the ground, Jesus came to this earth, into this ground of the earth.
[4:17] And he lived here as a man. And it took a while for him. But then the hour came for him to be glorified. What was that?
[4:28] It was his death. And then his burial. And his resurrection. And his ascension. To be glorified.
[4:39] And because Jesus did that. Because Jesus was willing to die. What happened? He's the first fruits.
[4:52] He's the first of many to arise in newness of life. Jesus laid down his life. That there would be billions of Christians.
[5:06] Little Christ. People just like him. Someday in heaven with him. Hallelujah. What a wonderful Savior.
[5:22] Isaiah tells us. Says that he shall see his seed. You know, Jesus. When he left the Father. And he came down.
[5:33] He was looking at the end result of his coming. He didn't just come because. Yes, it's a good idea.
[5:45] Yes, humanity needs me. Yes, whatever. But Jesus came. Why? To purchase his bride.
[5:56] To purchase his church. To save us from a lost. Eternity. He is the first fruits.
[6:14] He is the first fruits. As we go on through this. Gain the whole world. And lose his own soul.
[6:27] Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man. Shall come in the glory of the Father with his angels. And then he shall reward every man.
[6:38] According to his works. Works. Here we have Peter. You know, responding to what Jesus was teaching. Jesus said.
[6:49] Was trying to explain to them. And show them. That he must die. His time has come. That he must now die. He must lay down his life.
[7:02] For that sacrifice. And he was returned to the Father. And Peter said. He started rebuking him.
[7:13] You know, it cannot be. And you know. You know. You know how people twist scriptures in our day. You know, there's a scripture. And I think it's in Psalm 110.
[7:24] It says that. Referring a prophecy of Jesus. That he will abide forever. I don't know if Peter used that or not. But.
[7:34] But. You know. If you were the Messiah. This is one of the things that. That. The. The elders of the day.
[7:45] Had brought against him. If you were the Messiah. Then you would abide forever. Well, Jesus. Is abiding forever. But he had to die.
[7:57] That there could be. A harvest. Later. Peter. But Peter. Rebuked him. He said. Far be it from thee.
[8:08] This can't be. This can't be. The will of God. This can't be. What is right. But Jesus. Jesus.
[8:19] Looked at him. He said. Get thee behind me. Satan. Satan. Jesus. Jesus. Recognized. That this was not.
[8:30] This was of. Of Satan. Speaking through Peter. And he goes on. And he says this.
[8:44] If any man. Will come after me. If any man. Will come after me. If any man. Will serve me. If any man.
[8:54] Will be my disciple. If any man. Will. Will be. A Christian. Let him. Deny himself. And take up his cross.
[9:08] And follow. Me. Deny himself. You know. Isn't that. Where we fail. So often.
[9:19] Is in denying. That old self. In denying. Our old. Desires. We're all. Born. With that. Selfish nature.
[9:30] We want. What we want. But I want. I think. I want. It's that old. I. And it raises.
[9:41] It's that old. It raises itself up. And it wants. What it wants. But Jesus said. If we will follow him. We must deny. Ourselves. We must deny. That old self.
[9:53] And we must. Take up. Our cross. Take up. The cross. We must keep. That old man. On the cross. Because he will. Lead us astray.
[10:03] He will take us. To hell. But he must. Die. Why? That the new life. Can live. The apostle Paul said.
[10:16] But I glory in the cross. Whereby I am crucified unto the world. And the world is crucified unto me.
[10:28] The cross of Jesus Christ. It is a barrier. Between us. And a sinful world. It is a barrier. Between us.
[10:38] And sin. As we come to the cross. And we lay down ourself. And that old self dies. We will resurrect up.
[10:49] A new life in Christ. But it will also be a barrier. To keep the world. That it will not. Overrun us. It's a barrier.
[11:00] The cross is a barrier. Between us. And the world. Whosoever will save his life.
[11:16] Shall lose it. You know. If we want to save that old man. You'll remember Saul. They went after. They obeyed God.
[11:27] And going. And destroying them. The kites. But then they did not. Fully obey God. Because they kept. Of the very best. They kept. Of the best.
[11:38] Of the sheep. And the oxen. And other things. They kept. Of the best. Why? He told Samuel. To sacrifice. To the Lord thy God.
[11:50] But you know. That's still. What humanity. Is trying to do. We want to keep. The best. Of that old life. The best. Of the flesh man. The best.
[12:00] Of ourself. We want to keep it. To work for God. And to sacrifice. To him. And it's an abomination. To God. It can never.
[12:12] Please God. That old mind. That old man. Can never. Please God. It must. Go on the cross. We will try. To save our life.
[12:23] We will lose it. And we will not gain. Eternal life. But if we will lose our life. If we will lay down our life. If we will leave. Keep that old man on the cross.
[12:36] Mortify. The deeds of the body. We will find. Eternal life. Verse 26. What is a man profited?
[12:48] If he will gain the whole world. And lose his own soul. Or what shall a man give. In exchange for his soul. Just think of this question.
[12:59] What an awesome question. What will a man give. In exchange for his soul. It's so obvious. And it's such a great question. That he doesn't even answer it.
[13:11] There's nothing we can give. In exchange for our soul. Nothing. We must give our life. Allow it to die.
[13:26] That that new life. Can arise. At which is born of the flesh. Is flesh. At which is born of the spirit. Is spirit.
[13:37] At old life. It must die. That the new life. Can come forth. The end of verse 27.
[13:56] Then shall he reward every man. According to his works. You know there's a day coming. There's a day coming. The judgment day is coming.
[14:07] When every man will be rewarded. According to his works. He doesn't say. According to your words. You know there's many people. That can speak so well.
[14:18] And they can speak such good words. And they sound so wonderful. But the Bible tells us. Jesus said. That we will be judged.
[14:28] And rewarded. According to our works. Not our words. Our words can condemn us. Our words.
[14:41] Can save us. But if our words will save us. The works will follow. Dying prepares the way.
[14:55] For the new life. You know if Jesus would not have come. If Jesus would not have died. We would not be here.
[15:07] But him coming. And him laying down his life for us. Prepared the way for humanity. To be saved.
[15:20] Mark 10 45. A wonderful verse. For even the son of man. Came not to be ministered unto. But to minister.
[15:32] And to give his life. A ransom for many. And just before us. He talks about. About ministering to others.
[15:43] And being a servant. Being a servant. Maybe we should read this. You know. James and John.
[15:56] Had come. And they asked him. If they could sit at his right hand. And on his left. And. And Jesus goes on. And in verse 42.
[16:07] He says. Ye know that they. Which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles. Exercise lordship over them. And their great ones. Exercise authority upon them.
[16:20] But so shall it not be among you. But whosoever will be great among you. Shall be your minister. And whosoever of you will be the chiefest.
[16:33] Shall be servant of all. He admonishes his disciples. And he admonishes us today. To be a servant of all.
[16:43] To walk humbly. With our God. And to consider. Others better than ourselves. And he was our example.
[16:55] For even the son of man. Came not to be ministered unto. God himself. The son of man. Came not to be ministered unto. But to minister.
[17:06] To be a servant. To be a servant to everyone. One. And to give his life. A ransom. A ransom. For many.
[17:18] You know Jesus. I believe he laid down his life. For those years of ministry. All he did. All day long. Every day. Was lay down his life.
[17:29] For the people that he met. As he ministered to them. He laid down his life. For them. But then. In the end. He laid down his life.
[17:41] Ultimately. That we can have eternal life. Let's go to Romans 6.
[18:09] Let's go to Romans 6. Let's go to Romans 6. You know. If we. We already mentioned this.
[18:22] But if we. Will follow Christ. We need to lay down our life. That old life. That we can be born again.
[18:33] You know. Even as Jesus said to Nicodemus. You know. Nicodemus. He came to Jesus. And he said.
[18:44] You know. You are from God. We see that. We see that. Because of the things you're doing.
[18:58] And Jesus told him. Except a man be born again. He cannot see. The kingdom of God. And Nicodemus.
[19:08] And Nicodemus. He was a man just like we are. He said. How can this be? He didn't understand. He didn't understand.
[19:19] But Jesus told him. He said. He said. Except a man be born of water.
[19:32] And of the spirit. He cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh. Is flesh. That which is born of the spirit.
[19:43] Is spirit. That old man. That flesh man. That old man. He can never. Please God.
[19:55] But only that which is born of the spirit. In Romans 6. Start in verse 1.
[20:15] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin. That grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin. Live any longer therein?
[20:28] Know ye not. That so many of us. As were baptized into Jesus Christ. Were baptized into his death. Therefore we are buried with him.
[20:39] By baptism into death. That like as Christ was raised up from the dead. By the glory of the father. Even so we also should walk.
[20:50] In newness of life. For if we have been planted together. In the likeness of his death. We shall be also in the likeness.
[21:00] Of his resurrection. Knowing this. That our old man is crucified with him. That the body of sin.
[21:11] That the body of sin might be destroyed. That henceforth. We should not serve sin. Our old man. When we're born again.
[21:21] We come to him. And we lay it down. And we confess our sin. And we receive that new life within us.
[21:33] Says here. Our old man is crucified with him. On the cross. That the body of sin. Might be destroyed.
[21:44] That we do not need to serve sin anymore. And then baptism. Shows that we are buried with him. And we arise in newness of life.
[21:56] That new life in Christ Jesus. That seed of our old. Must die. That the new can live. And rise again.
[22:11] We might come back to this later. But I want to go on. I'm going to. I'm going to go to 1 Peter. Chapter 1. Verse 18.
[22:47] For as much as you know. That you were not redeemed. With corruptible things. As silver and gold. From your vain conversation. Received by tradition.
[22:59] From your fathers. Indeed. There's no way. To buy our salvation. And he says. We were not redeemed.
[23:09] By silver and gold. And all the gold. In the whole world. Would not. Pay the ransom. Of our soul. But we are redeemed. How?
[23:20] Verse 19. With the precious. Blood of Christ. As of a lamb. Without blemish. And without spot. Who verily was foreordained.
[23:30] Before the foundation. Of the world. But was manifest. In these last times. For you. Who by him. To believe in God.
[23:40] That raised him up. From the dead. And gave him glory. That your faith. And hope. Might be. In God. Seeing ye have purified.
[23:52] Your souls. In obeying the truth. Through the spirit. Unto unfeigned love. Of the brethren. See that ye love one another. With a pure heart. Fervently. Being born again.
[24:04] Not of corruptible seed. But of incorruptible. By the word of God. Which liveth. And abideth. Forever. Forever. Being born again.
[24:15] Not of corruptible seed. But of incorruptible. You know Jesus. In John chapter 1. It tells us that Jesus. Was the word.
[24:28] The word. The living word. And this is. The written word. But Jesus. Is that word. And the word. Is the seed. Whereby.
[24:39] We are born again. That seed of Christ. The word of God. Is planted within us. And it becomes. That new life.
[24:51] As we believe. In faith. In the shed blood. Of Jesus Christ. We become. That new creature.
[25:02] That new creation. In Christ Jesus. All things. Are passed away. Behold. All things. Are become new. You know.
[25:13] In the parable. The sower. We might look at that. But when Jesus. When they. They asked him. What. You know. Explain this thing. This parable.
[25:24] To us. Explain this to us. And Jesus said. The seed. Is. The word of God. The seed. Is the word of God. And Jesus.
[25:35] Is. The word of God. So. That seed. Comes within us. It comes into our hearts. And. Bursts us.
[25:46] Anew. As you hear the gospel. As you hear the word of God. And you receive it by faith. It can bring forth life. Unto.
[25:57] Eternal life. So we are born again. Of. Incorruptible. Seed. This seed. Of Christ.
[26:08] It cannot be corrupted. Men have tried. To corrupt it. They have tried. To change it. They have tried. To destroy it. But they have not.
[26:19] Been successful. This incorruptible. Seed. It comes into our hearts. And as we. Grasp. Ahold of it. In faith.
[26:31] That new life. Is born. Within us. Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And we become. A new creation. In Christ.
[26:42] Jesus. In. Second. Corinthians. Five. Verse. Seventeen.
[26:52] Says. Therefore. If any man. If any man. Be in Christ. He is a new creature. Old things. Are passed away. Behold. All things. Are become new. Old things.
[27:03] Are passed away. All the. All that old life. It's passed away. It's on the cross. It's. Buried. With Jesus.
[27:15] In baptism. It is gone. And we become. A new creature. In Christ. Jesus. A new creation. In him. Hallelujah.
[27:28] And all things. Are of God. In the new life. All things. Are of God. Who has reconciled us. To himself. By Jesus Christ.
[27:40] And he's given to us. The ministry. Of reconciliation. Is given to us. That call. To reconcile.
[27:51] A lost. And a dying world. Unto himself. He says. To wit. That God. Was in Christ. Reconciling.
[28:01] The world. Unto himself. Not imputing. Their trespasses. Unto them. And hath committed. Unto us. The word.
[28:12] Of reconciliation. Now then. We are ambassadors. For Christ. As though God. Did beseech you. By us. We pray you.
[28:22] In Christ's stead. Be ye. Reconciled. To God. For he hath. Made him. To be sin. For us. Who knew. No sin.
[28:33] That we might be made. The righteousness. Of God. In him. We then. As workers. Together. With him. Beseech you. Also. That ye.
[28:44] Receive not. The grace. Of God. In vain. So.
[28:57] Let's look at this. We become. A new creation. In Christ Jesus. That seed of Christ.
[29:07] Comes within us. And we believe it. We receive it. By faith. And we become. A new creation. In Christ Jesus. And then. To us.
[29:19] As followers. As disciples. Of Jesus Christ. As believers. He has given to us. The ministry. Of reconciliation.
[29:32] You know. God sent Jesus. Into this world. For one purpose. It was to reconcile. This world. Unto almighty.
[29:43] Holy God. That's why Jesus came. Jesus came. With that ministry.
[29:53] Of reconciliation. And now. He has given it. To us. The church. This ministry. Of reconciliation. To reconcile.
[30:04] The world. Unto almighty God. He has committed.
[30:15] To us. The word. Of reconciliation. We are. His ambassadors. Now. Since we are.
[30:25] A new creation. In Christ Jesus. Now. We are. No longer. Citizens. Here. But we are. Citizens. Of a heavenly. Country. And now.
[30:37] We are ambassadors. That's what. An ambassador is. He's a representative. Of another country. And we are here. Representing.
[30:48] A heavenly. Country. Here in this. In this world. World. Showing Christ. To this world. Reconciling.
[30:59] This world. Unto God almighty. We are. Workers. Together. With him. Any.
[31:12] Just read this. Verse one. Again. We then. As workers. Together. Together. With him. Beseech. You. Also. That you. Receive.
[31:22] Not. The grace. Of God. In vain. That you. Receive. Not. The grace. Of God. In vain. You know. The very. Fact. That we.
[31:33] Can. Have. Salvation. Is the grace. Of God. But his grace. Also. Comes upon us. To.
[31:44] To. Do this. Ministry. Of reconciliation. To go out. And to witness. And to testify. To live a holy life. To live a life.
[31:56] That shows. Christ. To this world. In all of our life. In work. In business. In whatever we do. That we show.
[32:07] Christ. To this world. And he says. Do not. Receive. The grace. Of God. In vain. We have this grace.
[32:22] Allow it. To work through you. Don't. Don't. Go bury it. But use it.
[32:33] Use it. For the furtherance. Of the kingdom of God. Come.
[32:43] A couple of verses, 1 Corinthians 15, 36 and 37.
[33:11] 38. Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened except it die. That which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain.
[33:26] It may chance of wheat or of some other grain, but God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
[33:38] You know, that old man dies, and the new man is different. Old things pass away.
[33:50] Any man that is still living in the old is not a new creation in Christ Jesus. No, not at all. 2 Corinthians 4, 11.
[34:05] 1 Corinthians 5, 11.
[34:35] 2 Corinthians 5, 11. Therefore, seeing we have this ministry as we have received mercy, we faint not, but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
[35:02] But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost, in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.
[35:14] Lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Notice what he says here.
[35:27] Our gospel, if our gospel is hid, it's hid to those that are lost. And why are they lost? The God of this world has blinded their minds that they would not believe.
[35:40] And why? It's because they have chosen to stay in the old. They've chosen to reject the word that was preached. They've chosen to reject the word that was brought to them.
[35:53] They've rejected this word when they heard it, when they read it. Let me tell you, if you reject this word, the God of this world will blind your eyes.
[36:09] There'll come a day when you cannot see it, you cannot receive it. Why? Because you've chosen to reject it. Why? We preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves, your servants, for Jesus' sake.
[36:35] For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
[36:48] But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.
[37:00] The glorious light of the gospel. This light has shined out of darkness, and it has shined into our hearts, bringing the light of the gospel to us, and the glory of God in the face of Jesus.
[37:19] And we have this new life. Yes, we're still in these bodies of flesh. That's why he says here, that we have this treasure in earthen vessels, this treasure of the new life.
[37:36] We have it in this body of flesh and blood, this body of clay, an earthen vessel. And we're still limited by this body of clay.
[37:50] But we have this treasure of the power of God, and the presence of God, and the glory of God in this earthen vessel, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.
[38:05] You know, when the power of God comes, and it works through us, it's to His glory. It's His power, not us. It's His power, not ours.
[38:17] Remember that. Now he goes on. He talks about his own testimony. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed.
[38:30] We are perplexed, but not in despair. Persecuted, but not forsaken. Cast down, but not destroyed.
[38:41] Always bearing about in the body, the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
[38:56] Notice, just look at this, and what he's saying, how in the flesh we're persecuted, we're troubled, we're distressed, we're cast down, but yet we're not defeated.
[39:17] We're not in distress. We might be going through hard times. We might be going through tribulation, but there is the hope of the new life.
[39:33] Now look, always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
[39:47] You know, let me tell you, well maybe we should just read on before we go into that. So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
[40:00] we having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken. We also believe, and therefore speak.
[40:16] Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God, for which cause we faint not.
[40:39] But though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.
[40:59] For the things which are seen are temporal, for the things which are not seen are eternal. Now look at this. Let's go back.
[41:10] In verse 11, he says, we, we, where's that verse? we're always delivered unto death.
[41:24] Verse 11, for we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
[41:38] So then death worketh in us, but life in you. You know, if we will be effective in the kingdom of God, it is only as we die to ourselves, it is only as, as our selfishness is on the cross, and we live our life for him, that because of our death, his life can work through us.
[42:07] Because of us, not, not demanding our own way, but laying down our life, because of that, his life can flow through us out to others.
[42:22] Death worketh in us, but life in you. Hallelujah. And then verse 15, all things are for your sakes. You know, he was just talking plainly here to the Corinthians, that he is laying down his life for them.
[42:39] and that is how it is when you minister to others. You're laying down your life for them. Why?
[42:50] How is that? Because there's so many other things you could be doing for yourself, to gratify yourself, but no, you lay that down, you lay it aside, and you go and you minister, and you witness, and you teach, and you preach, and you sow the seed in the kingdom of God.
[43:12] Amen. Let's go to Galatians 6.
[43:52] Galatians 6. Galatians 6. Galatians 6. Galatians 6. Galatians 6.
[44:36] Galatians 7. Galatians 6. And let us not be weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
[44:56] Very familiar verses here. But be not deceived, God is not mocked. Whatsoever you sow, you're gonna to reap if you sow to the flesh that's what you will reap you will reap to the flesh but if you sow to the spirit you will reap life everlasting sowing to the flesh that you know i think the most prevalent thing in our day and people will deny that it's sowing to the flesh but it's just playing selfishness i want to live my life my way i want to live my life the way i want to live it i want to do this i think that i believe this i want to do that and it's always i i i on the throne but it needs to be jesus on the throne and that old eye must die that we can sow to the spirit the new man the new man in christ in chapter five verse 13 for brethren you have been called into liberty only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh but by love serve one another you know we live in a day when when many many people will say well i'm free and i want to live a life free you know freedom is freedom in christ we're never free to just go our the same way to do our own way and to do our own desires yes if we serve him you know it's not i'm not saying it's wrong to do some of those things that we enjoy but if that is ruling your life if that's what you're living for then it's an idol then it's an idol verse 16 walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh for the flesh lust is against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh and these are contrary the one to the other so that ye cannot do the things that ye would but if ye be led of the spirit ye are not under the law now the works of the flesh are manifest which are these adultery fornication uncleanness lasciviousness idolatry witchcraft hatred variance emulations wrath strife seditions heresies envying murders drunkenness revelings and such like other which i tell you before as i have also told you in time past that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of god you know and there's another place where is it in colossians maybe where where it says idolatry i think i have that somewhere here covetousness and idolatry the amplified says deifying of self instead of god you know just plain going my own way lifting up myself above god
[48:59] that's idolatry refusing refusing to listen to this word and do obedient to it and just going my own way that's idolatry that's making myself a god but the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace long-suffering gentleness goodness faith meekness temperance against such there is no law and they that are christ have crucified the flesh with the affections and lust if we are christ it's just this plain and simple we have crucified the flesh that old man is on the cross he's no longer in control of our life but the new man is in control like roman says mortify the deeds of the flesh through the power of the spirit through the new man through the spirit man we put to death the works of the flesh if we live in the spirit let us also walk in the spirit let me tell you you can't live in the spirit and not walk in the spirit but I believe the reason he wrote it here this way is because back in his day they had the same problem that we have today people claim to be living in the spirit but their life does not show it they don't walk in the spirit and if a man is not walking in the spirit he's walking in the old life he's walking in the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eye and the pride of life then he's not walking in the spirit of God by their fruit you shall know them be not deceived
[51:07] God is not mocked he knows the fruit that is coming out of our life and whatever we sow we're gonna reap there's a day of reckoning coming there's a day of reaping coming what are we sowing what are we sowing to let me ask you a question do you look forward to reaping the harvest that you have sown just think of your life think of the sowing you've done this last week think of the sowing that you've done do you look forward to the harvest Hebrews 2 therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard lest at any time we should let them slip for if the word spoken by angels was steadfast and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation how will we escape if we neglect so great salvation
[52:47] Jesus asks the question what will a man give in exchange for his soul here we have the question how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation you know he doesn't even answer it because the answer is so obvious there is no escape there is no way out there is no escape if we neglect today today is the day of salvation there is still the grace of God is still here if you've been sowing to the flesh if you don't like how that harvest looks it's not too late it's not too late the grace of God is still here the blood of Jesus is still available to translate us from that kingdom of self and darkness into the kingdom of his dear son let's pray
[54:13] Lord we thank you for the blood of Jesus Lord we thank you for giving your life that you might bring many sons into glory for giving your life shedding your blood that we can have eternal life Lord we thank you we praise your name Lord I pray help us Lord each one of us Lord to be honest and to look and to see what the seed is that we've been sowing help us to see what harvest we're gonna reap and Lord if it's not the harvest that we want
[55:23] Lord bring us to repentance our sins today Lord Lord that we can reap the spirit the spiritual harvest Lord that we can reap eternal life Lord that we can reap the harvest that you would have us to reap Lord search us and try us and see if there's any wicked way in us and lead us in the way everlasting we pray in Jesus name Amen today is the day of salvation if you have a need if you don't like the way the harvest looks
