Simplicity of the Gosple

Good to be here. Good to see all of you visitors and Joes. Yes, it is good to be together as a family of God.

! Turn to the Gospel of John chapter 3. This morning, I want to speak about this great salvation and ye must be born again. So many times I believe that, you know, if I can, if I can, what's on my heart is to bring out the simplicity of the Gospel.

Many times I believe we make it so complicated. Or maybe, maybe we try to figure it out and that makes it complicated. But I, you know, we'll read through this, but there's something.

I just want to jump ahead a little bit. In chapter 3, verse 8, Jesus said, The wind bloweth where it listeth. Thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell.

Whence it cometh and whether it goeth, so is everyone that is born of the Spirit. And in our group Wednesday night, we were in 2 Timothy chapter 1, and verse 12 says, I know that he is able to keep that which I've committed unto him against that day.

And there's a song, it's number 478. It says, I know whom I have believed. And the whole song, all the verses, it says, I know not. And then it tells us what? I know not why God's wondrous grace to me he hath made known, nor why unworthy Christ in love redeem me for his own. Verse 2, I know not how this saving faith to me he did impart, nor how believing in his word wrought peace within my heart. I know not how the Spirit moves, convincing men of sin, revealing Jesus through the word, creating faith in him. I know not when my Lord may come at night or noonday fair, nor if I'll walk the veil with him or meet him in the air. You know, this song, I believe, describes so much of our questions that we have many times. But we do not necessarily need to know the answer. I believe Jesus addressed this here in verse 8. He says, you know, likening the Spirit to the wind. But what is important is is the chorus, the refrain in this song.

But I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

You know, in this life we have many questions. And as, you know, as we look at the plan of salvation, there's many things that, you know, I don't know how the Spirit moves.

I don't know how the Spirit convicts men. I don't know how this all works. But I know why. It is because of Jesus.

And I believe in Jesus. And he is the one that we need to put our faith and trust in, our confidence. It must be in our Lord Jesus.

And then all those questions can be answered. Not because we maybe necessarily know the correct answer, but because we know it is because of our Lord Jesus.

John chapter 3. There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God, for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, how can a man be born when he is old?

Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh and whether it goeth.

So is every one that is born of the spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, how can these things be?

You know, and isn't that so many times, you know, people's question, how can this be? How, how can I, you know, we, isn't it natural that, that people want to know how this works?

How does it work that I can be born again? That was the question that Nicodemus had that night. As he came to Jesus that night, and he was a man. He was not just an ordinary man off of the street, but he was a ruler in the council of the Jews there that, during that time.

And he came to Jesus, and he, he, he said, Rabbi, Jesus, we know, who's we? I believe it's the council. It was the, the, the, the religious leaders.

They knew that the power of God must have been on Jesus. They knew that somehow this man had something that they did not.

And he admitted it. Many of the others never did. But he did. He admitted it. And he came to Jesus by night. Why?

Because he was afraid of his contemporaries. He was afraid of those that, that he was working with. And he was, the others in the council.

But, so Jesus answered and said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Except a man be born again. What is it to be born again? It is to, to, to be reborn, to be made a new creation in Christ Jesus.

You know, in Corinthians says, old things are passed away, and all things are become new. You know, is, is that a reality in our life today? Have all things become new?

Are we still living in the old? Are we still trying to, to, to keep the old alive, and enjoy that old life? You know, the devotional, let, let me just say this.

Nothing, that comes of our old man, will ever please God. It is an abomination to him. Amen. What God is looking for in our lives, is he's looking for the life of Christ, and he's looking for what comes, the fruit that comes out of our life, because of that new life within us, because of the power of the Holy Ghost within us.

That is what God is looking for. So why is the human race in this place? You all know the story of creation, and Adam and Eve, and how, and how they fell, how they sinned.

They partook of that forbidden fruit. And, because of that, the whole race, is under the power of the evil one.

And you know, we, we can point the finger at Adam, but, we've all partaken, of that forbidden fruit, have we not? Isaiah says that, all we like sheep have gone astray.

We've, we've wandered astray. We've gone our own way. But then he says, the Lord has laid on him, on Jesus, the iniquity of us all.

You know, there's many prophecies, just like that verse, in the Old Testament. We will, we will, hopefully look at some of them. But we've all sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

The wages of sin is death. That's in Romans. The wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

He took our debt. You know, we all had the penalty, the death penalty on us. All, every human being, since Adam and Eve, has the death penalty on them.

Why? Because we're a rebel, in the sight of God. We've all gone our own way. We've all rebelled. We've all sinned. We've all partaken, of the forbidden fruit.

But then God sent Jesus. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God sent Jesus, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God, to this earth. God incarnate.

God come down to earth, and he lived here as a man. And he lived a sinless life. So the death penalty was not upon him.

Why? Because he was the son of God. He was born of a virgin. And he was the son of God. And he lived a sinless life.

And so, when they crucified our Savior, he was the spotless, sinless Lamb of God. And he qualified to take our sin.

He qualified to pay our debt. You know, I could not pay for your debt. You could not pay for mine. But Jesus qualified, because he lived a sinless life.

And so, he took our sin. He took our sin, and he carried it to Calvary. And he died.

He gave his life. He shed his blood for you and for me. He shed his blood for the whole world. Hallelujah.

Hallelujah. What an awesome plan of salvation. Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.

You know, God in his foreknowledge, he knew. He knew that humanity would fall. He knew that humanity would sin. And that we would need a Savior.

And so, before he ever even created Adam and Eve, it was in the plan of God that God himself would come to earth and make a way for us to be saved, to be redeemed, to be regenerated, to have that new life, to live the life of Christ here on this earth.

Yes. Today, we have many people trying to live a life pleasing to God without the life of Christ in them.

It doesn't work. It's an abomination. You know, while we're talking about that, I'll just read a few verses here. In Romans, in Romans 8.

It says, To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace, because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. If so be, that the Spirit of God dwell in you.

If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. So, when we're born again, we're born again by the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of God comes and takes up residence in our hearts, and we become a new creation in Christ Jesus.

You know, a few weeks ago, I preached a message on that verse in Peter, where it says, We're partakers of the divine nature, and that is what happens when we're born again, is we have the life of Christ coming, and making us a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Hallelujah. I probably got way ahead of myself here, but let's go back to John chapter 3. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

In my side column, they got that word, regeneration. Regeneration. What's that mean? It means become new.

Become new. You know, you can never remodel the old man to make him pleasing to God. No, he needs to die, and you need to become a new man.

Become regenerated by the Spirit of God. Born again by the Spirit of God. Hallelujah. Well, Nicodemus was trying to figure this out, and I believe so many people today, they try to figure this out.

And you can't explain it. You can't explain the Spirit of God and how he works. But we accept it by faith.

That's why we have to believe. You know, the Bible talks a lot about believing and having faith and all of that. And we'll get to that in a little bit.

Jesus answered him, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. You know, Jesus made it, he just broke it down so plainly and so clearly.

You know, you have to be born of the Spirit. The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom. And you, you're born of the flesh, Nicodemus.

You're a man, you're born of the flesh. And if you want to enter the kingdom of God, it's a spiritual kingdom and you need to be born by the Spirit of God.

That's what Jesus was telling him here. And that's what he's telling us here today. Is if you want to be a part of the kingdom of God, you can never be a part of that kingdom in your flesh.

But if you're born again by the Spirit of God, that new man is a child of God. He is a new creation in Christ Jesus. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.

The wind bloweth where it listeth. Thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh and whither it goeth. So is everyone that is born of the Spirit.

Oh, hallelujah. You know, we see the evidence of the wind and we see the evidence of the Spirit of God. We see His evidence, but you've never seen the Spirit.

You've seen Him work. You've heard Him talk. You've seen the effects that He has on men, but you've never seen that Spirit.

Oh, yes. But we can be born again by that Spirit and full of the Holy Ghost. We can be effective in the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus just asked the question, how can these things be? You know, you can never figure them out, but you can believe it.

You can believe it. Well, Jesus answered and He said unto him, verse 10, Art thou a master of Israel and knowest not these things?

You know, Jesus asked him, why don't you know these things? Why don't you know these things? And I want to, you know, I mentioned some verses in Ezekiel or in Isaiah already, but I want to look at a couple in Ezekiel.

In Ezekiel 36, verse 25 to 27, here we have a prophecy that was given to the prophet and Nicodemus knew these scriptures or he would not have been a master in Israel.

He knew these scriptures. He knew Isaiah 53. He knew all of those. But in Ezekiel 36, verse 25, Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your filthiness, and from all your idols will I cleanse you.

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments and do them.

You know, what the prophet was describing here was the new birth, becoming a new creation in Christ Jesus, a new heart, and a new spirit, cleansed from the old life, cleansed from our filthiness, and from our idols, and all of those things of the old life.

Yes, and a new heart, giving us a new heart, and a new spirit. I will put my spirit within you. Hallelujah.

The spirit of God within us. Here's a prophecy that Nicodemus knew, and that is why Jesus, I believe he said some of the things he did, is you're a master of Israel, and don't you know these things?

Here I am. He didn't just say it. He said, here I am, the son of God, and you don't know who I am. I believe Nicodemus did.

I believe Nicodemus was, it came out later, I believe Nicodemus did follow the Lord Jesus. I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them.

The prophet describing the new man, describing the new man in Christ Jesus, all things are passed away, and behold, all things are become new.

I will cause you to walk in my statutes. You know, there's many religious people in our day, they try to walk in the Lord's statutes, and to keep the commandments, and to live a life pleasing to God, in the old strength, in their old man.

But that old man has a sentence of death on him, and he can never please God. Regeneration, spiritual rebirth, being birthed anew, a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Nicodemus, yes, trying to figure it out. Born of water and of the Spirit. Born again into a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Yes. I read those verses in Romans 8, about the mind of the flesh. The Amplified says, describes that as sense and reason, without the Holy Spirit.

It's our own thinking, and our own, our own, our carnal mind, without the Holy Ghost, trying to figure things out, like Nicodemus was that day.

Well, let's continue on here. Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things. Verse 11.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, we speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen, and ye receive not our witness.

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man, which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You know, in Nicodemus that night, as he heard Jesus saying these things, he knew the story well of Moses lifting up that serpent and putting him on that pole and lifting him up, and everyone that looked at that was healed and was saved from the serpent's bite.

But what a picture that is of our Lord Jesus.

Jesus said, as Moses lifted up that serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up. You know, Jesus was telling Nicodemus that night, he was telling him that he would be crucified, he would be lifted up on the cross and crucified.

You know, and I believe there's a good chance that as Nicodemus pondered these things, as he watched Jesus' ministry, and he saw how prophecies were being fulfilled by the Lord Jesus, I believe Nicodemus believed.

But Jesus likened his own being lifted up and his own crucifixion to that of the serpent in the wilderness.

And if you know that story, God commanded Moses to put that serpent, that brazen serpent, on a pole, and everyone that would look at it would be saved from the serpent's bite.

And that's how it is today. We look at Jesus, the one that was lifted up on the cross. He was lifted up there, and he shed his blood for us.

And as humanity looks at him, we are saved from the serpent, Satan's bite. Yes, our Lord Jesus, as we look to him and we believe in him.

Verse 15, that whosoever believeth in Jesus should not perish, but have eternal life. So the key today is for us that we believe in Jesus.

What must we believe? We must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that he came to earth. He lived here as a man, a sinless, spotless life he lived here.

And then he gave his life. He was crucified. And he gave his life. He shed his blood for us. They put him in that tomb.

But God resurrected him from the dead and brought him back.

We must believe that. We must believe that Jesus came and he gave his life, that he came and he lived a sinless life, and that he was the Son of God come in the flesh.

And that he died and rose again on the third day. Hallelujah. That is what we must believe if we will not perish.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

If we believe in him, then we will have eternal life. Yes, if we truly believe. In chapter 5, verse 24, it says, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.

If we truly believe, if we believe as the Scripture has said, hallelujah, then out of our belly will flow rivers of living water, that those rivers will flow once we're born again and full of the Holy Ghost, we have the life of Christ within us by the power of the Spirit of God.

God so loved the world. He was not willing. He was not willing to leave humanity under the power of Satan.

He was not willing to let us go. So he sent Jesus to live here and to die that we might have life, that we might have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

He says here, says, God didn't send his Son into the world to condemn the world. No, the world was already condemned.

The world was already condemned before he came. And now that he came, now those that do not receive him, those that do not come to the light, they are still in that condemnation.

They still have the death penalty on them. Today, without Christ, we have the death penalty upon us.

But with Christ, he has carried that. He has taken that death penalty, and he paid the price on the cross. He gave his life for you and for me, for the whole world, that we might again have fellowship with the Father.

Yes, he that believeth not is condemned already. Why? Because they reject the only provisions that God has made.

God's gift to the world is our Lord Jesus, our Savior. Our Savior. 1 Timothy 2, 4 says, God would have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.

In Peter, it says, God is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance. God, God wants all people.

Yes, I know most of humanity will reject him, but that blood was shed for all humanity, not just for the Jews, not just for a select few, but for all humanity, for whosoever will.

can come. Yes, whosoever will. God loved the world.

He had a love. He had a pity. He had a compassion for us. Yes, God would have all men saved, but whosoever believeth, whosoever believeth, you know, like I said before, we can't figure it out, but all we need to do is accept it by faith.

Believe. Believe. Believe in the blood of Jesus. Believe in the provision of God. Believe that Jesus gave his life for you.

He paid a debt that he did not owe, and you had a debt you could not pay, but Jesus took that debt and he paid it on Calvary's tree.

Yes. believe that the blood of Jesus can cleanse. The blood of Jesus was a sufficient sacrifice.

You know, I'll just read a couple verses in Hebrews where it talks about this in Hebrews 9. We'll just pick out a couple verses here in verse 22.

You know, Nicodemus, he was familiar with the blood sacrifices. He was familiar with all of that.

And here, we have the apostle, he's writing, and he says, almost all things by the law are purged with blood, and without shedding of blood, there is no remission.

without shedding of blood, there's no remission. There's no way. There's no way for our sin to be forgiven without the shedding of blood.

But Jesus, yes, but Jesus. Now let's go back a little earlier in this chapter. We'll start in verse 11.

But Christ, being come, a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

For if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean sanctify us to the purifying of the flesh, verse 14 now, it's the verse I wanted, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

God how much more. You know, Jesus says through the eternal spirit, the Holy Ghost of God, the third person of the Trinity, he was there that day and he did that offering.

Jesus gave his life, he shed his blood and the blood of Jesus is sufficient.

God accepted it. God accepted the blood of Jesus as a sufficient price to pay for the sin of humanity.

Hallelujah. He offered himself without spot to God and now as we believe in him, we can have a pure and a clean conscience.

Our sin washed away. Our sin forgiven. Forgiven. Can you grasp a whole of that today that we can have forgiveness?

Our sin removed as far as east is from the west because of the blood of Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. For this cause, he is the mediator of the New Testament that by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the First Testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal life.

Oh, yes, he is the mediator of the New Testament and he signed the New Testament with his blood. He had to die to bring it into effect.

But he died and he shed his blood. He shed his blood for us that we can have eternal life.

So we must believe. We must believe that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. We must know the value of the blood and that value of the blood is because God himself said that is the price.

So we can accept that as yes, the blood of Jesus is sufficient payment for my sin. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Have you recognized the value of the blood of Jesus?

Have you applied the blood of Jesus to your life, to your heart? Yes. Yes. Again, verse 21, he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

You know, 1 John talks about walking in the light and having fellowship one with another as we walk in the light. And as we walk in the light, the blood of Jesus will cleanse us from all sin.

Yes. It's in 1 John. And then there's a wonderful verse there, 1 John 1, 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

You know, you know, Jesus shed his blood for us. And now, legally, when that blood, when we believe in that blood and we confess our sin, God is bound to forgive us our sin.

Why? Because the price has been paid. The price has been paid. And he gladly forgives us of all our sin if we will confess and forsake it.

Hallelujah. Believing. What does that mean? I believe a definition for that word would be unreserved trust in Christ as an all-sufficient savior.

He is all-sufficient. He is sufficient. His blood is sufficient. His grace is sufficient to meet our need, whatever it is, whatever sin you've committed, the blood of Jesus is sufficient.

sufficient. The blood of Jesus is sufficient. It doesn't matter what sin we are caught in. It doesn't matter what rebellion we have lived.

We've all been rebels in the sight of God. We've all lived a life of sin. But Jesus is an all-sufficient savior.

Savior. And his grace is an all-sufficient grace. Yes, to forgive and to cleanse us.

this. We'll skip down to the last verse in this chapter, John chapter 3, verse 36.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life. And he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

He that believeth on the Son. We've been talking about believing. We've been talking about being born again and becoming a new creation in Christ Jesus.

And he says if we believe, we have everlasting life. We have eternal life if we believe. But if we do not believe, we will not see life.

But the wrath of God will abide upon us. Why? Because God, he did the ultimate. He sent his Son to live here and to die for us.

And if humanity, humanity that rejects him, then the wrath of God will be upon them. Because they rejected the greatest offer ever made to humanity.

Romans chapter 10. Just a couple verses here. Romans chapter 10. You know, this is, it's so wonderful.

It's so simple, yet we make it so hard sometimes. Sometimes. How many times do we try to establish our own righteousness?

How many times? Let's start in verse 9.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Believe in our heart. Confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus. You know, the two go together.

let your mouth speak forth what your heart believes.

You know, if we say, if we say we believe, then let's express it. Let's say it.

for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, but with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

If we truly believe, then let us say it with our mouth and confess before men that we believe, we believe, we made Jesus our Lord and Savior.

We've become a new creation in Christ. We have received the righteousness of Jesus into our life.

We've become a new creation. We've become born again by the blood of Jesus, by the Spirit of God.

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Verse 13. Hallelujah. Whosoever.

Jesus gave his life for whosoever, for all of humanity, for all of the human race. Yes, he gave his life for us.

In Ephesians, Ephesians chapter 4, again, he tells us here, he says, that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

That new man, that new creation in Christ. Hallelujah. Have we become a new man?

In 2nd Corinthians chapter 5, verse 14, for the love of Christ constraineth us.

He loved us. God so loved us that he gave his only son. That's the love of Christ. Because we thus judge that if one died for all, then we're all dead.

You know, we went through that, that we were all dead. We all had the death penalty upon us. But Christ died to pay that death penalty.

And that he died for us, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for us and rose again.

What less can we do but to live for him? He gave his life for you. He gave his life for me that we can have eternal life.

And now what less can we do but to live for him? Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.

Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. Have all things become new? Is that old life gone?

Or are you still living the old life and trying to live a life pleasing to God? You know, you can never please him until that old is gone and you become a new creation in Christ Jesus.

That is the only thing, the only life that is accepted in the sight of God is the life of his son in us. Old things are passed away.

you know, if we are a new creation in Christ, then those old things are gone. The new creation in Christ Jesus.

Yes, hallelujah. Now, a couple verses in 1 John, and then we'll close. This is so wonderful. You know, we could read a lot here, but we'll just read a few verses in 1 John chapter 5.

Verse 3, For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments, and his commandments are not grievous. Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world.

And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God.

Now, we're back again to that word believing. If we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, if we believe that he has bought us and we've given ourselves to him, we've become a new creation in Christ Jesus, then we can overcome the world.

We can overcome the world. Now, verse 11, And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

He that hath the Son hath life. He that hath not the Son of God hath not life. It's very simple. Do you have the Son of God?

Do you have Jesus dwelling in your heart? Has he taken up residence? Have you become a new creation in Christ? If you have, then you have eternal life.

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Hallelujah. Oh, hallelujah. Do you believe today? Do you believe? Have you become that new creation in Christ Jesus?

If you do not have the confidence today, like he's talking here, here in verse 13, he says, I have written these things to you that believe on the name of the Son of God.

Why? That you may know that you have eternal life. You know, today, if that is still a question, if you're not sure that you're born again, if you're not sure that you have eternal life, then today, let's answer that question.

Let's answer that question. Let's come to the Lord and become a new creation in Christ Jesus. Nothing else will satisfy our heart, and nothing else will satisfy God.

God. But we can know, we can know that we have eternal life.

How can we know? Because that life is in his Son, and his Son, Jesus, he wants to live in our heart. Yes, he wants to make us that new creation in Christ Jesus, that we can have the confidence, we can have the confidence that we have eternal life.

Let's pray. Heavenly Father, Lord, we thank you. That we can have eternal life through Jesus Christ today.

And Lord, I pray, Lord, that if there's anyone here today that is not confident of that eternal life in their own heart, Lord, that today might be the day when they give their life to you, Lord Jesus.

Lord, today is the day of salvation, and might we, might we today give our all to you, Lord, that we can be that new creation in Christ Jesus.

Yes, that we know who we believe, that we believe in our Lord Jesus, and we become that new creation today.
